Consist of a total of four episodes, Final Stage will be focusing on the long-awaited final 86 vs 86 battle between Takumi and Shinji. [confirmed]
- UPDATES : Avex has confirmed that the New Initial D The Movie will be a trilogy. First part of the trilogy is called Legend 1 -Awakening- slated for release in theaters on August 23rd, 2014 (Japan Only) [confirmed]

i think takumi became a truck delivery dude... still no word about the team itsuki was in the GS gas station... natsuki went on to college/univ... takahashis are still planning for Project D... bunta is still smoking is cigs... also takumi and ryosuke had that race at mt. akagi... never showed the ending nor winner... since they said it wasn't important... they only race at their full potential side by side and all that... so yeah... it should pick up with takumi's decision about the team since spring is coming and the snow are melting or have melted... | ||

Why does Bunta buy Takumi a gc8 when he can get him gods car of that time?  in terms of 4wd that is don't worry Jayson your fd is still fd. |

I think it's partially because the 22B is such a rare car. Only some 500 were made worldwide and were issued as collector's cars. The whole ID world is based around cars that you may actually see in the touges of Japan (with the exception of Takumi's 86 with the Group N engine, but you'd still see an 86). Whereas the 22B isn't so much. And besides, he didn't buy Takumi the car, he bought the GC8 for himself Alex | ||
