It was just announced in the last 20 minutes at a press event in Tokyo which is being livestreamed online as we speak. I am pretty excited about it, both a home and mobile console all in one. I haven't been excited for a brand new Nintendo console in a long time. It's being priced at $299.99 in the U.S., and it'll be $399.99 in Canada . So far some of the stuff they've so far with the new controls and games is pretty cool. I think the Switch will probably outsell the Wii and has a good shot of unseating the PS1 (which sold only about a million more than the Wii) and PS2. What do you guys think of it? Launch Day 1-2-Switch The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Skylanders Imaginators Just Dance 2017 Launch Window Has Been Heroes (March 2017) I am Setsuna (March 2017) Sonic Mania (Spring 2017) Lego City Undercover (Spring 2017) Arms (spring 2017) Super Bomberman R (March 2017) Snipperclips: Cut it Out, Together! (March 2017) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (April 28, 2017) Splatoon 2 (Summer 2017) NBA 2K18 (September 2017) Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Fall 2017) Super Mario Odyssey (Holiday 2017) This post has been edited by BOZZ on Jan 13 2017, 11:28 AM |

Just wait an year or two, they will put out an emulator for this. The same happened with Wii U. |

As far as I know it's only 2 games: the new Zelda game (which looks pretty great, might be the first Zelda game I'll ever play) and this neat casual game called 1, 2 Switch.

Any of you guys planning on checking it out if it's near you? |

Never played MK8, so I might cave in and get one April or early summer. Or maybe wait till holiday for the inevitable Mario Odyssey holiday bundle. Kinda hoping they announce SSB4 Deluxe and Pokken 2. That'll give me an excuse to trade in my Wii U since those are the only two games I own for it lol This post has been edited by Phantom_R32 on Jan 13 2017, 11:20 AM |

It looks interesting, but I can't see that game flying off the shelves. It's like Wii Sports, that game sold well because it was bundled with the Wii. |

"You play by looking at your opponent instead of the screen" needs more explanation before I think of handing money over. |

I'm only getting a console if MH is going to be on the system since that is practically the only game I play now. Just kidding. I'm totally picking this up. That trailer for Zelda gave me the chills while I was watching it. SOURCE for the MH title on Switch rumor |

I guess I should've get my Wii U one year earlier. I only played over 400 hours on it and now there're coming out many cool new games on the Switch I want to play, too. |

As far as I know they only have a special edition of the actual game coming out, which oddly enough is coming out on the Wii U on the same day as well.

It's coming out for Wii U too because it was initially an exclusive game for it, I believe. It's a similar situation as Twilight Princess, which should be a Gamecube-only game at first.

I'm certainly intrigued by the Switch but given that I picked up a PS4 6 months ago and now collecting the parts for my new desktop, it's going to be alittle while before I pick one up.

Not interested in any of the games out for it at the moment. Zelda isn't a system seller for me(Never understood the hype for that series). Plus I've been hearing too many weird problems and inconveniences about the system. |

Yo. Just picked my console up at 12 AM sharp. So far, I've yet to run into the little problems that I've seen on blurbs.

Breath of the Wild is a complete reinvention of Zelda games, though. You should check out some streams (read: Vinesauce). I'm not buying it until they fix the physical issues with the console. The dock does not protect the screen during docking/undocking. The joycon clips are impossible to remove if accidentally (easily) put on the wrong side. Left joycon tends to desync for no reason. Also, a lack of a definitive library is keeping me away from it. The virtual console is not on Switch. So far the only Switch title I want is Breath of the Wild, and there is nothing they've announced that I'm interested in. I'll be getting a Wii U this weekend and enjoying Breath of the Wild in slightly lower resolution, with the bonus of having a vast library and the virtual console.
