There are scraps of Doom 4 footage around the internet, but nothing from actual gameplay. This new one, which has been seen by non-devs once, behind closed doors and strict NDAs, is simply titled DOOM. What little gameplay has been shown (about 5 seconds) looks intriguing. -- As for FO4, there are some fun theories being thrown around. The "dad" character in the pre-war footage looks extremely similar to what is probably the player character shown at the end of the trailer. The big theory is that they are the same character, and that he (or she) went into Vault 111 as the bombs fell. Vault 111 could be an experiment in cryogenic freezing, where the player wakes up many years later and has to deal with the reality of the wasteland. This explains why the dog (and the player, who is seen outside the house for a brief moment out of focus) is searching the crib: the player is looking at their old home. |

I wonder what the main quest would be in that case. ^^ Critical Miss's theory about the timing of FO4's announcement: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/v...Ace-in-the-Hole |

Keynote will be split between DOOM, Fallout 4 and BattleCry. They're heavily hinting at live game play, possibly with a playable demo build for attendees to mess with. High possibility that the trailer was rendered from an old build, not current to July 2015. Map appears to be 2-3x the size of of Skyrim. Three Dog heavily implied to be returning as a radio station, but no character in the game. |

Wow. I've never played Skyrim (despite owning it), but that sounds massive. So, PS4, XBox One, PC?

There are no loading areas from end to end. The Witcher 3 has an even larger map, 2 to 3 times the size, but there are at least five "areas" that need a loading screen to transition between. Fallout 4, by what some people have gleaned from sighting landmarks in Boston, is going to cover a pretty nice chunk of Massachusetts. I don't think anything has yet to beat Just Cause 2's map, though. |

How big was that map? I know you could fly a plane or something, but never got into it, even if the demo was popular .

I would bet that it will be finished within the month, now that they're confirmed as having sent out copies to ratings officials.
A season pass is coming as well. Bethesda says it will include every piece of DLC available for the game for $30 flat.

30 bucks? SOLD But, didn't bathesda have buggy/glitchy launches with the past two fallout games? I'm sure it'll be like this again, but.. I still wish to get it and try this fallout glory.

More NEGATIVE than a black hole Group: ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 19,345 Member No.: 12,263 Joined: Sep 12th 2005 Location: Update Profile | The Gamebryo engine used for Fallout 3 and New Vegas was well known for being prone to glitches, path errors, event flag hiccups, and console freezes, but the games themselves were golden. Worth the pain of a freeze every now and then. Fallout 4 is using an updated and heavily modified version of the Creation Engine used in Skyrim, which was less buggy. It definitely wasn't bug free, but it was fucking Skyrim and it deserved GOTY. Anybody that hasn't played FO3 yet for some reason, go to Gamestop and pick up a used copy for $5. |

That means the final version is complete and being pressed to discs for retail as of today. Just over two weeks left before the bombs drop again!
