And that was so long ago and so far between 1 and 2 that I pretty much don't remember the story at all. I think I still have 4 hanging around here somewhere, though. May be time to get back into it. |

More NEGATIVE than a black hole Group: ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 19,345 Member No.: 12,263 Joined: Sep 12th 2005 Location: Update Profile | Praytell why? MGS 2 started the trend of MGS plots being completely idiotic and overly complex. Sure MGS itself had a corny plot, but MGS 2 took it to overdrive. I never played 3 but saw plenty of it, and wasn't impressed with the story. I had 4 and was disgusted enough to turn it off for good after the first chapter. If they can give me a MGS with a solid (no pun intended) plot and not too many stupid unrealistic characters, considering the next one looks to be highly realistic, I might take a closer look, but I'm not really looking at it with any sort of hope. It's MGS. I skipped it over and nothing terrible happened to me. |

IDW Goldmember Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,164 Member No.: 3,607 Joined: Oct 9th 2004 Location: Update Profile | I've never had many issues with the characters, with the exception of MGS2 with the bloated plot and Raiden: MGS4 with the over -the-top acting and preachy anti-war message. The original MGS and MGS3 struck a good balance between story and gameplay, and brought a cast of reasonably good characters. Not sure what you mean by unrealistic, whether it's their personality or abilities (Psycho Mantis, Vulcan Raven). New extended trailer.

I was hoping for another story trailer but more gameplay and a release year that everyone pretty much knew is quite good.

I was predicting between June and September so not too disappointed by having to wait till the end of that window. http://kotaku.com/metal-gear-solid-v-will-...er-1-1689162309 |

Looking to start my new build over the summer and just hoping the recommended setup falls within my specs wishlist. |

Oh, I was hoping they'd package it with the release of Phantom Pain like they did with Peacewalker and the HD release of Metal Gear Solid 1-3.

Trust me, I'm a doctor. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 6,186 Member No.: 1,277 Joined: Feb 14th 2004 Location: Bay City, MI | There's a chance they could package it with the game as some kind of pre-order bonus or something. Or at least give a code to download it from the store. |

The sad thing is I am sure that's going to be offered like a year later after Phantom Pain's release.

Since I don't buy games very often anymore what with the finances being restructured, I figure one big game purchase is in the works. |

Die hard fans will buy it though. This post has been edited by W.A.R on Mar 10 2015, 08:58 AM |
