Now I usually only doodle in class, I like to draw video game/comic characters and what not. |

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/47037052/ The face looked too awkward (Eyes were off-center) on the first drawing, so I redid it...Fixed the face, redrew the tigerstripe camo so it "flowed" better, gave her a Beretta Cougar (To continue with the "cat" theme), and other minor changes... | ||

MidnightViper's anatomy is so very out of proportion, don't take this the wrong way. just keep practicing. I'd suggest a good printout of the human body both male and female and some tracing paper and start getting familiar with anatomy and proportions, from skeletal to muscular. That way you can establish a good fundamental figure before you put in detail like facial features and clothing and such. |

Ballistic heartbreak Group: Advanced Members Posts: 16,831 Member No.: 1,034 Joined: Nov 22nd 2003 Location: Richards Majestic, apartment 51 | How about this; Eye perception can be skewed when looking off a computer screen and then drawing on a clipboard in your lap...If you don't have each at level angle with your face, you'll draw lopsided... I'm not a very imaginative person when it comes to poses...I have to use a reference picture, and I used one off my computer for that drawing... So it's not really that I need practice...I think I can draw pretty damn good myself (And that's not my ego speaking ); Maybe next time I need a reference image, I'll print it out and set it on my desktop, so when I draw, both my reference and drawing will be at the same damn level...That way, the only problem I have to worry about is looking straight down at it, and if my drawing still comes up awkward, then I know my head's not at 90-degrees... I've suffered no such problems with my "lead guitarist Oniko" piece from earlier in this thread... This post has been edited by MidnightViper88 on Jan 27 2007, 11:42 PM |

Sketched it out in an hour or so, so it's sketchy, and it needs some cleaning up (Smoother lines, get things into proportion, etc.), but I did wanna show this off for the time being, since once I clean it up, I'm gonna digitally color it by the weekend... |
