So today at Silverstone there's an event for the 15 years of GT.

One of the peeps of GT planet got in and is constantly updating the twitter with some of the new features they promise. ->https://twitter.com/gtplanetnews

Oh and the planned release date is holiday season 2013.

that is, by PD standard you can add a couple of years extra to that.

Summary of new Gran Turismo 6 features announced by Kazunori Yamauchi:
SPOILER

Bunch of screenshots in that GTPlanet link as well.

I'm not a huge fan of Silverstone, but I am incredibly pumped for Bathurst though. That track > everything.. Except maybe Spa.

We heard you say that shit for GT5, Polyphony. Unless you tell me that every single one of those 1200 cars is fully detailed inside and out I'm just going to 360-degree moonwalk the fuck back out of your IP and embrace Forza again.

I think I will give Gran Turismo a shot this time. Been a Forza player for many years but they make Gran Turismo look so much funner derp.gif happy.gif

After the pathetic GT5, I really can't find any reason to care about this. The last truly great GT game I played was GT2 back in the PS1 days.

Posted by: Nomake Wan May 15 2013, 02:17 PM
I wanted to like GT5. I had the opportunity to play it on a full wheel-and-pedalbox setup and drove a 350Z to significant enjoyment. At the time it was my first experience with proper first-person in a racing game (I had yet to experience Forza) and it felt much more natural than I was used to from the GT series.

However... once they announced that they had 'fibbed' about the total number of cars and in fact only had a handful that were entirely detailed (99% of which were cars I didn't give two shits about) that was the end of my enthusiasm. I was then made to play Forza and ended up wondering how GT was even still alive when Forza is such a better game.

I have hopes that GT6 will correct such a transgression...

...but I'm not holding my breath for it.

wouldn't be surprised if >10% of 1200 cars are skylines(gtr)... shifty2.gif

Posted by: Phantom_R32 May 15 2013, 03:02 PM
Standard car and interior view whining aside. Gameplay wise, GT5 is still the best console sim to date. The whole "1000" cars thing never appealed to me. Sure, I collected them, but I only used somewhere between 50-100 of the 1000 cars from anyways.

And according to the guy from GTPlanet who had the chance to play the game already, the physics engine is even better. The suspension moves very realistically and the tire wear is spot on. Which I'm super pumped about.

It's a racing game so I'll be getting it regardless. Assuming that I'll be done with GTAV by the time it's out.

Posted by: Tygur May 15 2013, 03:35 PM
Forza 4 felt far more realistic to me. Although that may be because the Xbox triggers are built so well that you can really control it. The whole GT series has always felt wrong with the traction, like it rides on rails and breaks lose into ice without warning. Theres no kinda edge that you usually get that gives warning of traction loss. Its all or nothing. That said, I love em both and played both series to death. I'll definitely get this but might pick up a good 3rd party controller with some nice triggers, or build up a cockpit for my G25 which I heard can be used in GT. Oh yeah, and fix the chase cam lol

Depends which GT you're refering to. I thought the GT4 physics felt very understeer prone while GT3 was the exact opposite.

I'd like to see them do better about leveling up in the game. I never liked purchasing a car, doing race after race only to win basically the same vehicle only to have to sell it and purchase a completely new type of car to progress. A kind of career mode would be nice.

Edit: Just looked at the screenshots and I'm happy to see the Audi S1 E2 makings its appearance. awesome.gif

Posted by: Shirogane May 15 2013, 09:06 PM
I am actually keeping a close eye on how 6 is coming out since Forza 4 and Horizon just felt dumbed down. I mean, look at the Porsche Fiasco and the mere fact that there are less cars and the rallying system in Horizon just fucking sucks.

Also, I'm not a GT fanboy or anything, but in Forza, there's just no.... Soul to the cars. I just don't like how they look, graphics-wise.

Posted by: OkamiWind May 15 2013, 10:55 PM

They've always had an odd fascination with including every version of the Skyline ever made, across every model year, in each GT game. I never understood it. It's a good car and deserves to be represented, but not to that degree. 1200 cars should mean 1200 unique cars. There may be minor differences between model years, but it shouldn't mean that we need to see every little iteration of a car that most people will gloss over.

NO! I want the 92 300ZX, because that's when they got airbags! I want the safest version of the car for my virtual guy! Fuck you, I'm right!

Posted by: initialdfcfd May 16 2013, 07:43 AM
I definitely want this game. A little too optimistic on the release date though, as we all saw that mess we went through with gt5. I've been playing forza 4 and it just isn't doing it for me, Gran turismo's physics are just so much more realistic in my opinion. Crossing fingers for a premium ae86 and crx.

So glad it's gonna be on the ps3.

Posted by: Tessou May 16 2013, 09:19 AM
The release date is odd, yes. Consider the long development process of GT5 and compare it to this. It just doesn't fit.

I believe that Polyphony's CEO is a huge GTR fan. That's why there's always a load of GTR's in every GT.

This is the first I've heard about GT6. After the bad taste GT5 left in my mouth I'm probably going to skip this game. Maybe if they improve the loading times, get rid of those darn narrow tracks and return the classic tracks, I might eventually pick up a copy after a price cut.

I also hope they do a better job with the engine sounds. I always thought they weren't putting enough care into actual engine notes.

From the gameplay footage, they chose to stick with the godawful chase cam. We'll see how the demo goes, but if that makes it to the final game, its enough for me to not purchase.

Maybe it's some rule that they're sticking to. Each playstation had 2 main GT games, so I guess that's the logic? unsure.gif

Plus the ps4 GT game might aswell be GT7...

This. I had the game installed on my PS3 and my buddy didn't..our load times were nearly identical (mine was faster, but only marginally). Idk if this was an anomaly..but that's my experience with that...lol

and overall, I'm pretty excited about this game. I began my simulation racing game experience with GT, and I will forever be a GT fan. I also have an Xbox 360, and I've given Forza a chance (I LOVE the exterior/aero/rim options in Forza) But I've always been a helluva lot more comfortable with the GT physics.

I'm also curious to see what bonus cars gfor pre-ordering will be...although I assume the game will have a couple delays a la GT5...and that original release date will not be accurate (but who knows...we might get a pleasant surprise! haha)

Wasn't expecting any change with the visuals, but I'm actually pretty impressed. It looks a lot nicer. The trees blur better when going by, and I didn't see any shadow jaggies in those videos. Hopefully they fixed all the jaggies, and the screen tearing.

The new physics engine is pretty noticeable as well, even without the comparison video.

Posted by: Drift Dude May 20 2013, 11:47 PM
It's also looking a bit darker, and that's a good thing, gt5 with the time change races was a bit too bright for my taste.

Posted by: Myrnn May 22 2013, 01:52 AM
they are releasing for both ps3 and ps4 because only a handfull of people actually buy the playstation consoles or any consoles upon release, ps3 released here for like $1300 with 20gb or something, i got a 500gb one with 2 controllers and 4 games for $400 under 2 years later.

And i will probably make some videos for GT6 on ps3.

Posted by: Lonely_Driver May 23 2013, 03:37 PM
I'm super pumped! I really like the physics in GT5 and the feeling of grip from the force feedback in my G25 wheel was good too.

Posted by: Vile May 23 2013, 08:19 PM
Same here! Even if I'm reading all the crybaby comments about GT6 on Youtube, I'm stoked. It's about time I revise my ghetto wheelstand for my G27 before the GT6 demo on July. smile.gif

Why does Gran Turismo 6 appear on the PS3 and not the PS4? A good question and PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan now also explains why the decision was taken. "You had GT and GT2 on PSOne, GT3 and GT4 on PS2 and GT5 on PS3. So there is a spot left, "says Ryan. That is not the only reason GT6 appears on PS3.

"The difference between GT and GT2 is incredible, even though both games appeared on the same console. The difference between GT3 and GT4 is also huge. We are also convinced that GT6 will be a big step compared to GT5 forward. There is still much potential in the PS3 and Polyphony is a developer who can prove that. Another important factor is the fact that there are 70 million PS3 consoles brought to the man. The PS4 is however not in any living room. Yet there will be a lot of PS4 games to look forward to, like Drive Club in the racing genre, "says Ryan.

Yeah, so there's your reason for why GT6 is on the PS3...

Posted by: Nukem May 25 2013, 04:08 PM
I prefer Forza to Gran Turismo. GT5 looked prettier, but the physics didn't feel right. Like I did last time I will probably end up buying both and deciding from there which I like more. One of the things that pulled me away from the GT series was the lack of modding and customization. I mean certain cars I couldn't install force induction...really??? GT6 should be labeled GT5 retry. I am sure that PD will fix most of the complaints that plagued GT5.

Another complaint about GT5 was the number of tracks they claimed they had 40% of them were just reversed tracks. So the number was kind of limited. I hope they add a lot more tracks. I would like to see a way to have computer partner for the long endurance races like 24 hrs of Le Mans. Since most people hated B-spec(I thought it was useless) they could at least allow you to use your B-spec drivers in the Endurance race. Use them on your race team.

Posted by: DreadAngel May 26 2013, 12:22 AM
Ah... So there is going to be a GT4? about time...

GT5 aka GT3.5 was a huge disappointment... After so many years between GT4 [GT3 Extended] and GT5 was massive yet they could only produce that much... Perhaps GT6 will give what GT5 was meant to be but I don't hold much faith.

I'm a GT to FM convert... I was happy till GT4, which set the tone for everything after...

I found FM1-3 intriguing however FM4 was so nice...

GT6 is going to be PS3 only, and the PS4 has no backwards compatibility. Just in case you're unaware.

Unless you really do mean you plan on buying a PS3 or XB1.

Oh yeah, true. Slipped my mind. With all the E3 crap around, I forgot things like GTA and Turismo and Diablo are going to be current gen at least partly. I like PS4 more, but I gotta go for Forza since I'll be able to get GT6 anyway. But the PS3 controller triggers are still miserable, gotta hunt down a good one for racing.

this. I bought the HKS PS3 controller just because I only play GT5 (I share a PS3 with my little brother) so that was the best I got. For some reason, I can't drive with a wheel/pedal setup like the Driving Force Pro to save my life.

Awesome, I was thinking about that but it looks like the "steering wheel" part is turned the wrong way. And I'm used to triggers not face buttons. May give it a try, though. Does it even have triggers? and are they any good?

It took me a little while to get used to, but its a helluva lot better than the stock PS3 controller...plus i can simulate heel-toe downshifting tongue.gif
and just a FYI...the digital numbers are totally INACCURATE as to the percentage the throttle is pushed....idk how nitpicky you are about that sort of thing

Probably wouldn't even look at that number and go by feel instead. I've heard that its not very linear, though. It should be delivered Monday. Can't wait to actually be able to play GT again. Never had a problem with the steering, I was more one of those go-in-at-the-limit, point the wheel, and use gas and brakes to balance over and under steer.

Posted by: 8M6_celica Jun 20 2013, 09:27 PM
Yeah I don't look at the numbers either. I just pitch the car in the corners and use power and brakes to clear too....not the fastest way but its fun...haha

Posted by: Drift Dude Jul 2 2013, 10:04 AM
So driving wise, it's an improvement.

I mean, you can't look beside DAT BODYROLL but there was a lot of grip aswell, I was able to drift a bit but not alot because there's just so much grip. And besides the grip there was a lot of understeer aswell.

It's hard, braking points are a lot sooner then in GT5 and unless you take the perfect line you're gonna understeer off the track and get DSQ for going off track

Posted by: Tygur Jul 2 2013, 12:09 PM
Looks a lot better than 5 for physics. Really wished theyd fixed that freaking chase-cam and let it sway slightly. Can't play it with that stiff one at all, instead of the car sliding, it looks like the road is sliding and I can't get a feel for grip.

Posted by: jbeavis100 Jul 2 2013, 04:11 PM
Looks awesome. I'm super excited now. I'll have to give it a try as soon as possible.

Posted by: RalliKai Jul 3 2013, 07:09 AM
Gave this a go last night. The physics are much improved over 5 and I like the added effect stress and heat have on tire grip while cornering.

I hope they throw in some better tracks, along with ones from the older games.

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 3 2013, 09:26 AM
I definitely gotta start using the triggers for gas and brake for GT6. I used the old X for gas and square for brake in every other GT game. But this time around it's not cutting it. I'm able to gold everything, but I'm still .500 to a second off some of my friend's times. So yeah.. these new physics are pretty demanding, in a good way. lol

Also, there will for sure be better tracks. Silverstone is pretty boring, in my opinion. I've never been a fan of it. I know there will be quite a few new ones like Willow springs, Mt Panorama and some new original ones. Not sure how many old ones they'll include during launch. But they did mention there will be DLC tracks later. Which is pretty lame.. But GT is one of those games where I'm willing to spend a little extra money on it.

Posted by: RalliKai Jul 3 2013, 09:37 AM
If they're vaunting cars like the Audi S1, I'm hoping they develop some decent rally courses/stages. A GT rendition of a Monte Carlo stage. awesome.gif

Just some point to point races in general, I'd love to some of those in GT6 or the future.

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 4 2013, 12:10 PM
I'm onboard for all of those ideas. GT6 needs more rally stages. GT5 was really lacking in that department. They should have dirt and tarmac versions of Pikes Peak as well.

Posted by: jbeavis100 Jul 4 2013, 04:20 PM
I went over to my friends house (as I don't have a PS3) and played the demo. It is awesome! I love the way the new physics feel. Whereas I played 5 and didn't like it all that much. It feels closer to GT3's Physics which is a good thing to me.

Posted by: Tygur Jul 4 2013, 06:04 PM
Played the demo. Its the tits. The handling is a lot more Forza-like. Camera still sucks, but at least I can get a car around the track because the swaying clues me in to broken traction where the camera fails. I like the braking lines and braking in general far better also, although its still a bit blocky and patchy. HKS controller is really helping, too.

Posted by: Lonely_Driver Jul 10 2013, 07:47 PM
wish I had some real life track or drifting experience but all I can say is that the physics are drastically different from GT5.

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Jul 11 2013, 01:47 PM
Video of the hill climb:
YOUTUBE ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33XHZ0A51ck )

It doesn't have the steep elevation change and technicality of Prescott Hill. But Goodwood still looks decent.

Also.. I hope those sounds are the real sounds. Kaz mentioned that GT6 will have improved sounds. So I'm hoping those sounds are from the game and not just placeholder sounds.

Posted by: Tygur Jul 11 2013, 02:03 PM
I think the difference on GT vs Forza sounds are that GT records the sounds with a ton of microphones and mixes it wrong while Forza records the car and takes into account all the different affects of load and exhaust and such and codes a sound system to mix it as such while throwing in some edgy but unrelated sounds. The result is that GT has authentic sounds that don't sound right, and Forza has less-than-authentic sounds but they sound more realistic because the have an edgy realistic bite. Not sold on GT6's engine sounds yet. The demo ones still sound muffled and windy.

Just something about the demo.

After you've done the GT academy stuff and done the laps in the GT-R there is a locked event that will be playable later this month, some people had their clocks on their PS3's changed to the date it came live and were able to play it.

In that event you were gonna drive the Shulze GT-R GT3 racing car that was used by Kaz during this years 24h of Nurb, still around silverstone I think.

Now this thing was removed some time after this was revealed on the web and that 3rd event is no longer seen in the list, the clock change thing also doesn't work anymore.

I don't know if this is true or not, as I haven't found anything to comfirm this. I've only heard it in a vid were it was talked about, no footage.

On another note, my local gamestore puts the release date this november.

GT6 will be in stores on the 6th December this year, it was just announced at gamescom

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Aug 20 2013, 03:06 PM
Hopefully that date sticks. And, hopefully they show off some newer tracks. Apricot Hill at night doesn't cut it for me. If they include that as one of the "new" tracks, that's pretty lazy.

I'm just happy that Bathurst will be in GT6. cool.gif

Posted by: Drift Dude Aug 21 2013, 04:24 AM
15 concept cars made specific for GT6, some of those will be build in real life.

2 new tracks, Brands Hatch and a return of Apricot Hill Raceway from GT4/GT3 now with day/night

News cars and 'old' new cars are all shown in the new gamescom trailer

Once again, I do hope they design a number of completely new and interesting tracks instead of copy & pasting old ones with some new time feature.

I still hope to see some good point to point stage tracks.

Same here. I like to do time attacks on the real circuits. But I love drifting on the original ones. Matterhorn is looking to be a great track though. Hopefully they include some more.

some more bits of info regarding the course maker, the vision GT thingy, the GT movie and some other stuff.
http://www.gtplanet.net/gt6-course-maker-livery-editor-gamescom/

Also there will be no more XP in GT6, but there will be some sort of reward for online racing.

Posted by: OkamiWind Aug 23 2013, 07:38 AM
Oh? So by the looks of the new info out: the course maker will quite literally be a 'course maker', a livery maker that will be a weaker form of Forza 4, and they explain why GT5 took so long to develop...

I think GT6 will be the best one ever...although the movie seems a bit odd to say the least. But nevertheless I would like to get this one for sure.

I guess that for the next 'big' piece of news will be on the Tokyo Game show then...

They had some video on youtube they were promoting for a while. Saying if they hit a certain number of views they were going to show something. I can't remember what video it is now or if they even achieved the goal.

I will also be a day 1 buyer. This game is the reason I bought GTA V for Xbox 360.. I'm saving the remaining HDD space for GT6. happy.gif I play GT5 whenever I can, I just hardly have anyone to play it with. I can't wait to feel the new handling mechanics!

GT6 has the rights to use the name of Ayrton Senna.

It's revealed that there's DLC about him, where you 'trace the roots of his racing career'.

That could also mean that Interlagos is also to be included in the game at one point.

http://www.gtplanet.net/ayrton-senna-gt6/

Posted by: Vile Oct 26 2013, 07:22 PM
That's pretty sick! Hopefully it'll bring more open-wheeler racing into GT with the association with the Senna institute. Which I highly doubt since... I don't know it just always feel like GT is more of a road-legal car driving game.

Ehh either way Bathurst is in the game. So I'll be getting my G27 steering wheel swapped to a bigger diameter wheel when the time comes. turned.gif

A lot of new info was revealed today.

This is latest trailer.
YOUTUBE ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRKbIXb9ShE )

This is the current car list, as it stands there are 124 new cars to be added in GT6, note: Premium cars. And yes, that list includes the moon rover.

The list also includes some 'Base Models' of racing cars like the GT3 spec and GT500 ones. I'm guessing that these are cars with no decals on them, as it was said that GT6 was to include some form of decal editor so that we can make our own. It wasn't an advanced editor like the one on Forza, but basic.

http://www.gran-turismo.com/local/jp/data1/products/gt6/carlist_en.html

The main website is also updated with lots of new info. I'll try to list some of the stuff.

  • Brake upgrades are back
  • 82 types of rims, with different colors makes 188
  • Aero kits, Flat foors, more race wings, and more
  • The GT service from GT5 now has a true garage feel
  • You have collect stars in each race now. ermm2.gif
  • Coffee breaks are back
  • One of the special events is driving on the Goodwood Festival of speed.

You can view the whole thing on http://www.gran-turismo.com/

-Oh yay, I was wondering if brakes could be up gradable for this one. Always felt upgraded brakes felt smoother then regular ones.

-Rims huh? That's cool...never really bothered with them.

-Only question is...how many aero kits? Is it like GT5 where it was a select few or is it a wider range that is more then 3 and maybe some tuner's kits?

-Meh, not a big thing.

-Stars...hm a double edged sword here PD. Is it optional to get them or do you need them to advance? I pray that the stars are just bragging points rather then the EXP thingy.

-Oh coffee breaks huh? Liked them but nothing special to me.

-Since I don't follow sporting events I have NO idea what the Festival of Speed is but...awesome I guess.

Man they are really pulling everything for this one huh? It seems good and I think they are really polishing up the graphics now. Only about a month left huh? Need to save money now...

I can't wait, although I'll prob be purchasing it a month after release as I want to buy one of those Wheel Stand Pros and a new 1080p Tv to play it.

Still no Lancia 037. sad.gif Ohwell.

I still don't understand Shigeno's obsession with throwing in so many different years of the same exact car. Don't think there is a big difference between a 92' and 93' EG6 Civic.

Posted by: TranceKitsune Nov 5 2013, 12:54 PM
I kind of wondered why they did the same with the Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO. There are no first gens.. just tons of duplicates when it comes to the second gen/third gens. Kind of a bummer that they couldn't include at least one 1990 GTO/1991 3000GT. There is no Dodge Stealth either, but I assume it is mainly due to GT6 being made in Japan. lol

Posted by: OkamiWind Nov 5 2013, 11:14 PM
I know this may seem like nothing new or interesting or anything but looking at the pictures the site had the GT Tuning thing had one particular option that kinda caught my eye.

Repair Body.

I know crash physics aren't GT's thing but that kinda got me thinking a bit...if you damage your car a little bit then you would have to live with the damage until you repair it. Not a major thing for one time races but what if some AI bumps you hard in a tournament? You have to now change your driving style to compensate for the messed up aero damage.

Granted they have to up the AI for this game but then again...they divided up the races by Novice, National B, National A, etc. I dunno...I think looking at the pictures I can speculate somethings that PD is doing for this one.

I am quite interested now...

Posted by: APaul1 Nov 6 2013, 02:01 PM
I would buy it but I don't have a tv and those converters for computer monitor video quality sucks.

Posted by: RalliKai Nov 6 2013, 05:26 PM
While decent damage would be nice, I just want them to develop a far improved AI and that would really boost the game for me.

So many Honda ITRs, Skyline GT-Rs and GTOs but no Stealth. No Mitsubishi Starion either other than the experimental Group B machine. sad.gif

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Nov 6 2013, 10:12 PM
I don't have a problem with them including cars and their different editions. Like the Skyline's Vspec, Vspec II, Mspec, N1.. etc etc. Because they're technically different cars. But when they do stuff like adding the same car but different model years, like the '89 and '91 R32 GTR. That I don't like it. They're the same exact car. Kaz just uses them as filler content to make it seem like GT has such a huge car selection.

I have no clue why they never added the Stealth in GT. The Pontiac Vibe and Toyota VOLTZ are both the same car, and they're both in the game. Same thing with the Eclipse and Eagle Talon. I'm not much of a 3000GT/GTO/Stealth fan, but I know people are and it's probably disappointing for them when other cars get the special treatment.

Posted by: Drift Dude Nov 11 2013, 12:30 PM
The folks over at GTplanet got their hands on the first full build of the game, not the retail version by the way.

There's some problems regarding the frame rate and loading times remaining.

But other then that, the game is as good as done it seems.

The last stretch is going on and Playstation is pulling another campaign, this time it's, get Mario Andretti's very first racecar rebuild, a Hudson Hornet by the looks of it, and into GT6.

This is the trailer they've revealed regarding this.
YOUTUBE ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgWnfvTs-QQ )

What's neat is that the backstory about his Hudson is also revealed http://playstation.gt6firstlove.com/.

In this short documentary Mario himself talks about how he got into racing and why he went to get a hudson.

Now the thing is, this hudson doesn't exist anymore but they are gonna rebuild his car. And you can follow that rebuild live on the 3rd of december at 12PM EST at the link I've given.

Edit: Ahh crap, some guys in the iRacing and GTPlanet forums are saying their orders are getting cancelled due to the products being unavailable. I won't be surprised once I see my cancelled order.

BTW ISR has uploaded a first impression of the game with an hour of gameplay.

I'm still wondering why the hell PD wants us to drive a Honda fit first... facepalm.gif

Posted by: OkamiWind Dec 2 2013, 08:56 PM
Looking at the video...it's not that bad actually...

But I do wonder why the HECK PD wants to make a Honda FIT the first car? Can't complain but at the same time...huh?

I mean they showed a Mazda RX-8 is about 25k (or was it 27k?) and why couldn't they buy that first? That doesn't...fit right...at all. It seems though that there are no used cars that I can see yet so they seemed to go back to GT3 style car buying...

However I will give them that at least the credit output and the car prices are much easier then GT3.

But still...A HONDA FIT?!

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Dec 2 2013, 11:07 PM
Wish they gave you a choice to skip the tutorials. Not liking that I'm going to have to use a Fit for the first few races. But oh well..

I'm glad they included all the cars into one dealership. I didn't like the used car dealership in GT5. I never found a Shuichi Shigeno 86 or an R32 S-tune because of that.

There's launch event in Ronda, Spain.

Some extra stuff was spoken about there.

  • 3 version of the Redbull X2014 car
    -The fan car
    -The non-fan Car
    -The Junior car
  • Updated car list, now with 1207 cars
-The deltawing returns with an extra version
-The Premium WRC cars from GT5 return
    -Honda/Acura NSX concept added
    -Lexus LFA Nurb Pack
    -Toyota GT86 Nurb 24h racecar

Kazunori even has a street in Ronda that has his name now.

Also the BMW M4 will be a free update later on, possebly like how they gave us the C7 Corvette

And regarding the Senna stuff, The Lotus 97T JPS F1 driven by Senna showed up at the launch event.
There's a good chance that it will be in GT6 at some point.

So, being a day one person I will give my experience/a review...thingy of GT6 so far. It maybe a bit long so i'll just spoiler the thing.

SPOILER

*WHEW* So all that said and done...do I recommend you to buy it now? Only if you're a pretty hard GT fan like me, if you're just a casual guy I would say wait. It's ok right now but I would wait to see if they add anything or whatnot. Also feel free to ask me about some things if you want to.

Will I be online? I dunno...yet.

EDIT: Eh I forgot a few things when I wrote what I wrote earlier. So i'll just spoiler these as well.

I'm loving the physics for this. Definitely my favorite. I do have a few gripes about the game though.

Custom BGMs aren't working properly. They keep cycling through the same song for every race, and the only way to change that song is to restart the race. Also, every once in a while the game's own BGM kicks in, but that's corrected by restarting the race as well.

Another problem is at the beginning of the race. Not sure if this is a problem on my end or if anyone else is experiencing it. By the time the countdown goes from 1 to 0 and lets you start, there seems to be a quick stutter/freeze on screen. It's not that noticeable for me unless I'm really waiting and looking for it. But it's still a bit bothersome.

And the tracks... Some of the tracks look like complete crap. Again, not sure if this is just a problem on my end or not. I usually don't complain about the visuals, but some of the tracks look worse than they did in GT5. Bathurst was the one that surprised me the most. It looks like it was ported over from a PS2 game. Everything else about the game is gorgeous, the cars look fine and so do some of the tracks. I'm hoping this is just a problem on my end since I got a new TV and haven't messed with the picture settings yet.

Overall I'm enjoying this immensely. Oh, and the game finally allows you remove spoilers and wings from cars.

Posted by: Vile Dec 6 2013, 08:31 PM
About the tracks, I've noticed the graphics with them especially if u look closely on the shadows. Lots of 'jagged' lines i guess. Not sure about the rest but so far I love this way more than gt5 that's for sure. The only thing that bothers me is the credits you can buy with real money...

I'm so hooked on karting online. LOL
Really close racing that I've been in so far.

Posted by: RalliKai Dec 7 2013, 08:39 AM
I wonder if some of the graphical issues are something PD will clean up in a future patch. Will likely wait for this game to drop down $15-20 before picking it up.

Posted by: RSanYon Dec 7 2013, 12:04 PM
Still disappointed that the number of standard cars outnumbers the premiums. They still don't have premium models of certain cars, and they should have taken out some of the 20-30+ Nissan Skylines in the game. They should also fix the buggy custom BGM system in the next patch update.

Yeah, the Pokemon (need to collect them all) approach PD has taken since GT4 just seems like a big waste. I don't need to comb through several years and versions of the Skyline GTR, Integra Type R and S2000 that are all the same.

LOL (Read the Forza thread and you'll get it, too.).

Posted by: Phantom_R32 Dec 9 2013, 11:20 AM
Welp... I just encountered another glitch in the game.

Whenever I try to race online my screen ends up turning black. It happens right when the race is starting. I can still hear the sounds of people on their mics. I'm forced to quit the game, but it ends up restarting my console instead, and making me sit through that "checking files" loading screen. I've only raced online four times. The first race was fine, but it hasn't worked since. I don't wanna test it out anymore, since I don't want my PS3 ruined from having it restarted like that every time. I knew GT6 was gonna be rushed, but I didn't expect them to let all these glitches slip by. Especially some of the game ruining ones reported on GTPlanet.

Hooray. Just realized I finally joined the 6000 posts club.

Posted by: Godarm Dec 11 2013, 03:49 PM
Seriously, did PD really listen to fans?
IMO, the only thing that interest me is the new physics, other than that nothing to rave about.
(hopes are already not high after GT5).

To quote this guy from gtvault http://www.gtvault.com/gt5/post-view/hp_hpid::173/GTVault-updates-for-GT5-very-unlikely/
QUOTE
From the derivative standpoint, I had much the same feelings about GT4 when it was released, but at least that game was completed by comparison to GT5. The fact that console game developers can now release online patches is a major red herring. On one hand, gamers are given the promise of new features and added functionality. The reality is it gives developers the opportunity to release poorly tested code and incomplete features. Prior releases of GT did not have this opportunity, and that is largely the reason those games felt much more complete. It used to be all or nothing when releasing console titles, and the paradigm shift to an online distribution model has forever changed that mentality. Perhaps I will change my view if/when PD completes the game. Regardless, having already spent my hard earned money for a product that is not up to snuff will leave an enduring bad taste in my mouth.

Anyways, getting credit is really tough. So many laps for such tiny bit of money. (Oh well, maybe i am too impatient whistling.gif ).

Edit: Ignoring all other bad details (lack of tracks, standards cars ....... etc). Is it worth it to play anymore? (left 1m & so many cars want to collect/try/play with)
1 race take 10 - 15min and yet money is so hard/tedious to earn. (even with 200% increase).
GT6 will be my last gt game for sure.

I just finished my last GT6 event. Proud to say that I managed to get gold for every race, mission, license, coffee break.. etc etc. Although it did seem a lot easier in GT6 compared to GT5. Maybe because of the lack of B-spec mode. The trophies seemed easier this time too. I only have the tedious ones left to do, like "drive the length of the autobahn." and "win a race within .010"
