Q: What does 'Rip the Stream' mean?
A: Good Question, Ripping the stream is another way of saying recording the radio broadcast.

I hope that clears 70% of the questions xD
--------------

How to rip the Stream

You'll need the following programs:
Winamp
StreamRipper
The .pls file or the URL code
A connection to record that stream

Step 1: Download the StreamRipper from the following Click Here

Step 2: Download the Winamp version and install it.

Step 3: Set it up. Everyone is really setted up except one thing.

Set your directory to where it would save the file and select Rip to Single File and make sure the bar under is BLANK!! (if you write anything in it, it will save under that name, and overwrites) (you can choose to do individual files but it would be mixed up)

Step 4: Your StreamRipper shouldn't have anything to record. So you load your .pls file into your winamp and start that stream.

You should get something like this.

Step 5: once the show begins. Start your baby and let it record.

Step 6: once its over, stop your recording and then your done biggrin.gif

Pretty straightforward. but since i had 10 minutes to make this post. I'll update it more detailed when i wake up tomorrow.

I'm trying to do individual files, with a twist: I want to add a "date & time" stamp at the end of each song/track, so I could end up having an entire show, but broken down into section. Here's what I have typed: %S/%A-%T/%D And then it spits out a "cannot create file" error the moment I try recording. I've checked that I have it set to just "rip to separate files" and not as one file nor as both at the same time. What am I doing wrong here?
