Akagi's LanEvo Killer Group: Advanced Members Posts: 7,472 Member No.: 1,751 Joined: May 3rd 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia | This is in reference to Initial D 3rd Stage, The Movie .. when Ryosuke first asks Takumi to join what is later known as Project D .. to which, Takumi requests a rematch against Ryosuke on Akagi's downhill to 'find his answer there' ... Now, we dont get to see the ending of that battle in the Movie or in Battle Stage (unsure about the manga coz i dont read it but they would show it if it was there, wouldn't they?) .. im just wondering who do you think really won and why do you think this? Personally, as much as i reckon Ryosuke and Takumi and their cars both rock, i honestly think Ryosuke won that one; reason being that it is Ryosuke's home course and i think it unlikely that he may lose on his home course, PLUS i thought it is being fair, as Takumi's beaten Ryosuke on his home course .. (so maybe if its 1-1 between Ryosuke and Takumi .. could we see build up to a super 3rd and final rematch??? maybe under certain conditions and on courses other than akagi and akina???) hmmm ... maybe it was a tie? from memory the last thing we see is both the FC and 86 driving side by side ... ? please feel free to post your thoughts here! |

But i also think that Ryosuke won. I dont think that Takumi can even beat Ryosuke on his home course. Maybe it was even. I guess we will never know. Also there could be no winnner or loser. The whole point of the match was to se if Takumi wanted to join Ryosuke's team, right? This post has been edited by Takumi Trueno on Jul 11 2004, 03:55 PM |

Akagi's LanEvo Killer Group: Advanced Members Posts: 7,472 Member No.: 1,751 Joined: May 3rd 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia | do you think maybe the writers couldn't make a decision on who was to win that race? whatever the reason is, id love to see a return match .. maybe after Project D is complete where Takumi has the experience, training, and skill and Ryosuke races to his full potential ... besides wouldnt you love to see Takumi's new racing engine against Ryosuke's FC?? |

That would be one race I would never miss. Then again I wouldnt miss any race. But it would be nice to see Takumi and Ryosuke both at their full potential. You wonder what kind of tactics Ryosuke would use on Takumi. That would be one amazing race. |

Sure Takumi is pretty much undefeated but do you think the charismatic Ryosuke would be beated by Takumi on his home course? He was once called the White Comet of Akagi for a reason. To Takumi, wining or losing against Ryosuke didnt matter. Thats probably why they didnt show how it ended. This post has been edited by Takumi Trueno on Jul 11 2004, 06:13 PM |

Request Title - PM Mods Group: Members Posts: 355 Member No.: 2,059 Joined: Jun 21st 2004 Location: Update Profile | I think ryosuke won because when takumi was racing kyuochi on akagi for the first time, even though he blew his engine he was still loosing and he was like theres no way i can catch up. And when ryosuke and kyochi raced on akagi ryosuke won. even though takumi got the new engine, i dont think he would have won against ryosuke on akagi. now akina is a different story... |

IDW Regular Member Group: Members Posts: 220 Member No.: 986 Joined: Nov 2nd 2003 Location: Update Profile | Well, in that particular race, Takumi had the new engine already, and considering N/A > Turbo on turns, Takumi would have the upper hand on Akagi. As Keiuske (sp?) said, both are racing without a worry in their minds. So both of them are racing in their fullest potential. Now here's the hint that helps me in my decision. Takumi GIVES the lead to Ryosuke when he lets Ryosuke off first. He uses the whole race to watch and learn from Ryosuke's driving. Conclusion? Ryosuke won. Could Takumi have overtaken him? Probably. |

Ryosuke said that racing with Takumi ,makes the regrets that he made in the past, fade away Can someone give me a logical explanation for this ? btw I still think that Ryosuke have won the battle |
