alright guys couldnt find a build thread but im doing my second build now and this one hits home. iv been watching the shuto kousoku series since i was a little kid and its what made me fall in love with the R33 GTR so just recently i came across a poor 1995 nissan skyline gtst. it looked like it has seen more gloryess days so after a couple of chats with the owner i managed to pick it up for 1000.00$ YES I KNOW DIRT CHEAP, i bassically stole it from him.

now i know some people are going to say its not a proper build as the one from a movie is a gtr CORRECT! but the plans are to make it look and go like a gtr just without some things of a gtr!

First: Nice GTST! Wish i could find a bargain like that!
I've watched all the Shuto and the series is fun, but the quality is sooo bad. sad.gif

And then, you know that just convert a GTST to a GTR is a hell of a job.
Your cheap 1000 will become 10000 and then the rest comes. Maybe it was easier to buy a GT-R and then convert it to Shikiba!

But okay, first start with your list and see if you can make it.
Are you going to keep the engine stock or put a RB26 in it?

Then compare a GTST to a GTR: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/167679-comparis...d-r33-gtst.html
The gtst is a totally different car than a GT-R so that can't be helped.

Hey, this is a same guy as you: http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=194131

And when you R33 is finally a GT-R you must change the color to Midnight Purple and put your glasses on to find what sticker that thing has and what exhaust/rims he's got.

And you should check out the japaneses to find the studio car somewhere, it could help!

Here's some pics: (that is very important too)

So, good luck. I don't have a car yet, so if you continue this project i can't help you anymore. sad.gif

*EDIT: I think he has Work Meister rims:

wow i didnt think i would get this much attention!! IM SORRY for not posting sooner yes i understand its going to be expensive but im in for it all they way i have all the color codes needed and the rims he uses are accually ssr professor sp1.
it was a great steal i couldnt refuse not to buy it! once the winter starts here in about 2 months the pics of this build will start going up !

no im not changing to a rb 26. no its not going to be awd! just the exterior and interiror will look like a gtr! i already have all the decals (thank to a guy named reece pruden!) and am getting alot of support from around calgary! i cant wait to start ripping it apart!

my goal is 550 WHP !! with the rb 25 ideas have come up about stroker kits and i am currently doing reasearch! if we do go ahead with the stroker it will be an rb30 build.

this car will be and is going to be soooo sick! for those of you that travel for car shows my goal is to have it finished by the time driven to perform (DTP) comes back here for next year witch is the long weekend in july! if somthing happens and cant get it done it will be at the illmotion sunday school 3. the awards at driven im hoping to take are best in class, best movie replica, best in show. and i only know one guy in town he has a f&f eclipse and he is the only one with a movie replica done poorly mind you so im going to take that award from him I MUST!. lol but thanks guys so much for the interest! soooo sorry for not replying sooner! i will keep updating do not worry ! thank you guys! w00t2.gif w00t2.gif w00t2.gif

Nothing wrong with gtr bits on a gtst. My m spec r32 runs gtr front bar with the m spec/gtr side skirts and rear pods

How you looking at doing a 3ltr stroker? Rb25/rb30 hybrid or stroker crank and samwich plate?

for the stroker kit we are still in the reasearch stage. we have thought quite a bit about it so the kit with sandwitch plate has come up. still not a 100% sure on what exactly will be done tho

I like the 25/30 oppsion simpler and cheaper if rb30 are easly avalible where you are from.

Plus the twin cam conversion is easy

Nice R33. Been a R33 fan all my life and of course they are just a beast in Shuto Kousoku and Wangan Midnight series.

Too bad it's really not feasible to import and own one in the US yet unless you are loaded..

It's much easier in Canada(and legal). In fact my cousin is in the process of importing a RHD GC STI from Japan.

It's as easy here as it is in Canada.

You're just importing a 1988 model here, not a 1998.

R32 will be available next year! apxrock.gif

wow really thats terrible i feel bad come move to canada bro lots of nice cars and sexy mountian passes to!
