try to double-check and see if you have beaten everyone else in LOTS at least once... if not, beat those whom you have yet to win against... if you did, keisuke in the project d FD will appear... beat him at least once and takumi in the project d ae86 trueno will appear...

I'd like to ask about Outbound dry, the hairpin before checkpoint 1. During practice I did an in-in-out, scraping up some gutter-edge dust at around 125 kmh with a half-tuned FC. Using the same line, I barely clipped the grass at 127 kmh with a stock R32. My entry speeds were in the mid-150s. Would anyone have tips on braking and cornering so that I get an exit speed of 145, like in this SevenRotarySpirits video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VoXx--3rkcI )? Thank you very much.

i guess if you're entering in mid 150
and exiting with 125, you're braking too much,
try to brake less and see what happens,
oh and take the in-in-out line, and try to countersteer earlier(?)
and going through the gutters is fine,
as long as you don't "ram" into it, and see a sudden
speed or acceleration loss ermm2.gif
in fact, gutters = better line smile.gif
or at least, i hope fear2.gif

Now this might take a lot of experimenting the next time I play OB . . . as I tried braking less in the hairpins at Akina and got the oversteer. But thanks a lot!

no problem, after a few rounds,
you'll probably get the hang of it without realising,
i mean, the amount of braking becomes instinct smile.gif
maybe watching some TA videos would help too,
so you can see where you're slow,
by comparing the entry and exit speeds,
and also improve your lines smile.gif

I tried OBD again today with the FC, this time with a conscious effort to half-brake at the first hairpin.
I slammed into the gutter, but got an exit of around 130 and -1 to my previous time.
More work to do . . . and I'll hie off to Akina for a bit . . . but thanks a lot!

alright, no problem(:
but anyways aim for 140 and above,
on the first hairpin smile.gif
the max any car can go is 143, though ermm2.gif
with the exception of the AP1, being the course car,
which is able to reach 144 pinch2.gif

so the trick to tsukuba is to oversteer wth quick motions and then countersteer a bit earlier to strraiten out the wheels? so far ive overseered to clear the whole turn. what is the max a car can do on those 3 quick snakes in ib cp2? i still havent found a way to clear them w/o skamming the back into the wall sad.gif. would steering erlier help clear them?

you mean the M turn? :\
i've seen videos which have exit speeds of 137 pinch2.gif
but i only manage 133 crying2.gif
(probably because of my entry speed)
but anyways the way i turn is(when entering) :
#1. Step on the brakes for slightly less than a full second
#2. Turn at the same time
#3. Just continue all the way driving normally
#4. Dont need to brake already!(:
just accelerate after the ending the braking,
and continue driving as per normal, turn normally!

ps: this should work, any other methods please tell me!

General method of learning a course (applies everywhere):

1. Drive through the course normally.
2. If upon engaging a turn, your car suddenly oversteers and gets an acceleration penalty, make a mental note of where the "accident" happened.
3. On your next TA, don't forget to brake for that turn. biggrin.gif If you still oversteer, that means you are either braking too late, too early, or too little.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 over and over again until you've mastered the brake points. smile.gif After that, just work on tightening up your line and pushing for better exit speeds.

to battle K.T and Tak (Takumi), you must battle first the Purple Shadow, God Arm and God Foot...once they are defeated, KT will appear first with his modified FD..and when KT is defeated, Tak (Takumi) will appear for the final battle in Tsukuba.. happy.gif

AFAIK even if you have defeated the purple shadows K.T. won't appear until you have defeated all the drivers on all maps..
