30,000.00 GBP = 59,583.77 USD Just short of $60,000 in other words. Outlaw-2 just uses £ because Top Gear is English. Its actually still 30,000 credits ingame.

I am already looking at a particular Japanese car at the moment, and it's nickname starts with the letter 'G'. |

Hammond will probably appear in some claustrophobic cardboardbox and May will probably end up with 4wd since he can not drive even if his beloved mothers life would depend on it.. I shall let you know my choice tomorrow. So, only oil change allowed? Sounds fair to me.. but I think I will go for handling instead of power this time.. |

Anyway, I was first to arrive on the circuit with a clean Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 produced in 1989. It costs me 15'574 pounds, which meant I have 14'426 pounds of spare change. I've did an oil change, and did a test on the rolling road, and I've got 304BHP! Reasonable power for such a price. So.. here's my results. Deep Forest Family Cup Race @ Difficulty 5... Position: 1st Time: 3'08.961 The second place racer was 3.363 seconds behind. Not bad for a start. |

And I found exactly what I needed. An Evo IV in white! Just £10,492 which leaves me with £19,508 to spend on making it faster than the Captain Slowline. After the free oil change my Evo was kicking out a sweet 277bhp. Deep Forest results to come... |

Subaru Impreza Sport Wagon STi '00 2. Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec '96 3. Mazda RX-7 Type RS (FD) '00 4. Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec '99 5. Mercedes SL 600 (R129) '98 6. Mercedes SL 600 (R129) '98 - 3'19.331 Winning by 3.402 seconds, it was clear how fast the Evo was compared to a Skyline of the same year, and since the R32 '89 is older and therefore inferior... |

But whatever it is, you still ended up having a slower time than my Nissan, which was made in 1989, 7 years older than your carton box with a milk bottle as an engine. This post has been edited by outlaw-2 on Mar 31 2008, 08:51 AM

Aha! But see, by having a much cheaper car with similar performance, once the tuning stage begins I'll have £5,000 more than you to spend, about the price of a large turbo. I wonder what Clarkson and Tiff will turn up with.

EVERY challenge gets us into the daily top 10. Clarkson will get a Camaro since that has a lazy V8. Tiff will get some little go-kart to give him that, "funny feeling".

The grid from the front. Target locked: Mercedes SL. Making a move on the Merc. Comming through! Passed the RX-7 and R33. Air time, a rally car's favourite hobby. Taking on the Impreza, sideways. Still sideways, Impreza mows the lawn. Impreza drops to 4th. I run away with the win. |

Always Lurking... Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,760 Member No.: 20,050 Joined: Sep 6th 2006 Location: Singapore | Right then, here's my pics of when I went down to get my R32... Pretty creepy for a car to even exist at such a place, to the point the R32 itself was staring at me, as if anticipating my arrival. This was what I got before I even enter the premises... Creepy as it always been, I went to take a closer look, and still, I'm a little shaken. Desolate place, me and the car, only. The other owner seemed to have left behind the keys on the ground, next to the driver's door as well. I wonder why he did such a move. But no matter, it is one heck of a clean car. Anyway, onto the race pics, and all I can say is... this car seriously just wants to drive fast, and when I meant fast, I meant fast Overtaking 5th place. Overtaking 4th place. Overtaking 3rd place Overtaking 2nd place. All the overtakings above were done in the first lap! My word. And here's the view when I got to the leading car. Seriously, this R32 is waiting for the right time to get up that Wankel engine. And.... It did! And another one bites the dust! At the finishing line... After the race, I did some thinking and yes, why not do something crazy to it for once? WHEE! Wahey! |
