As requested, I think we are going to help hold a GT3 competition on this board. If you are interested, please reply. I will post the rules later.

Here is the rules, (Big thanks to tainted for making up the rules, and please note that I can change the rules any time accordingly.)



These are the rules, and anyone found in violation of them will be warned. Further violation will result in a ban:

1. This Challenge is based on the "honor system". Lying about your lap times will ruin the integrity of the whole community and the Challenge will cease to be fun. Also, if you have a camera or webcam and the ability to post an undoctored picture of your times, please do so.

2. Posts to the Challenge must adhere to the following format and must appear at the very top of your thread:

Subject: -- should be the title of the thread
Track / HP limit [max/min/no limit]

For example:
Seattle Circuit / 499HP max


Body: -- All other race info or requirements should go here.
Should go to the main entry with your own fastest lap.


For example:
Turbo tuned cars only. No Super Soft tires. No race cars.

You must provide your own fastest lap(s) -- one at the least

For example:
Skyline GTR Vspec II (R32) / 494HP / 1'33.435
Lancer Evolution VII GSR / 493HP / 1'34.764
RX-7 Type RZ / 485HP / 1'35.301

Please post the full names of the cars, the correct/current HP ratings, and the full times!
Don't get lazy and just post "Skyline / 587hp / 1'13". All the pertinent information is necessary, right down to the last horsepower, chassis code, and thousandth of a second.

The reason behind this rule is to keep the community from falling into utter chaos. There is no point in having 10 different entries for the same race. By keeping the subject lines concise, it will be easier to go back through the search option in this thread to find out if your Challenge is a unique one or not. If you've got a Challenge in mind, make sure to check back through the past entries before you post it up. If you find a previous Challenge with criteria that your proposed Challenge can meet, please submit your times to that previous Challenge. There are no old challenges in these forums and no thread will be closed down unless desperately needed.


3. Those who accept the Challenge will post their times as comments on the originator's entry. Don't be discouraged if you accept the Challenge and can't beat the other Challengers' times. Just do the best you can, and post up whatever you managed to run. Not everyone will be able to beat everyone else. Without everyone's participation, this Challenge won't work, and it's the thrill of competition that makes the Challenge fun!

Any trash-talking and spamming should be kept to the very minimum! This community is for everyone, so let's try to keep it tidy.

4. Please keep flaming to a minimum. It's understood that a competition like this will likely invoke angry feelings and possibly spur fierce rivalries, but please remember that it's just a friendly contest and we're all here to have some fun. Keep your wits about you and don't get carried away.

i'm in. though i dont get it. will we run against the computers and see wut times we get? or like, run free mode in arcade mode? i think that will be best because you cannot change tires or add extra parts to your car, so it will be more honest and help prevent cheating!

What's with all the suped up cars? I mean, yeah you can bust out fast times with a 787B or a 220, but what about the 'normal' cars? You know, not V12s or fiber glass bodies? Does anyone race with non 'race' cars? i.e. Lan Evo, Rx-7, or Mustang

sorry... but it has been stated before by a mod that this is a "GT3" competition.
it's gonna be unfair and uneasy to judge the range of difficulty that differs GT3 and GT2...

ooooo no one round my parts accually plays gt3 as religously as I to make any good copetition for me, so i guess this would be very fun. the only prob, my origanal data and game were stolen bummer, so i'm useing my friends gt3 for any entries, and i would love to have gt an gt2 comps also so i'm in
