Taking care of leather is time consuming and expensive. It's a free car, drive it into the ground and then part out what you can! |

Listen to this man, and don't go the same route we did when we had Leather-clad seats. >_< And it's also not a best choice during a season where everywhere feels like an oven.

You could just use a basic leather cleaner to get it looking pretty neat. There will also be a cleaning sealant that will keep it looking shiny for a long time. Interestingly enough i hate leather where i live it gets rather hot! As the others said, water in the radiator (coolant too), oil in the motor, fuel in the tank and drive it hard! |

Unless you know if it was recently done, change the oil with the proper type. If you can't be bothered to do that, just make sure that it's not completely black and that there is enough in there. Same with the coolant, make sure there's enough and that it's the right color. If you run bad coolant or oil, you risk damaging your engine, as I have illustrated below. Other than fluids and general common-sense checks, you should be good to go. By the time I finished writing this, I noticed that it's been a few months. I'm curious, how is it running? |

Unregistered | I don't have to grin a bear it when i can do something about it. Keeping a car clean is common sense unless one likes to ride in a rolling trashcan. |

This is something I have to agree with. I've always taken care of how my cars look, no matter how much of a shitbox it might have been.

I have a tendency to get attached and want to "restore" my DD's. Don't follow in my foot steps. It has cost me lots of cash over the years. Congrats on the new car!!! |
