Yesterday I played ID at the Genting Highlands arcade and after I just started to play, (I wanted a S2K card but i cant even make a card) the machine picked a hachiroku in automatic for me! So I went to akina to have a match with iggy but even when I turn the wheel to the maximum (at 40km/h) , my car still hit the wall!
WTF is THIS??!! blink.gif mad.gif

Is it possible you put in a credit after someone just got off the machine? Perhaps someone battled with an AT 86, won, then left?

Most of the ID4 and 5 machines in Genting Highlands sucks FYI. Some of the machines are poorly maintained. The last time I went there, the ID5 machines can't even in-store battle. 1 of them dosen't even have sound at all. The ID4 machine are in a even worse state. Card reader damaged and lights are always off at night battles. But it's only 2 of the machines having this problem.

To me, I think the machine you played must have a faulty start button and uncaliberated?

FYI, as Akii said, Genting has the lousiest machines ever:

- If you ever get Error 403 when buying a card there (and a LOT of people buy cards there), dont expect a technician to come within the next 15 minutes....heck it's even a chore to find a technician coz they are never seen!
- On the same point, as there are no technicians nearby, the machine's wont be restarted. I have encountered a row of ID4 machines ALL with Error 403...and there were...6 (or was it 8?) of them!
- Poor maintenance...don't expect to play anything in "playable" conditions.

I'd save the RM4 and go play some shooting games...heck I'd actually avoid the arcade sleep.gif maintenance is so bad for an arcade with so many games.

If you're asking about ID5, i don't exactly know which 1 of the machines has this problem. Cuz i onli played 2 or 3 of the machines there.

But if you're asking for ID4, 1 of the machine does this cuz the card reader is damaged and unusable. If you played that machine, it will automatically bring you straight to the car selection screen.

Unless you were impatient and mashing the start button to skip things faster, den i don't exactly know what's made it automatically pick the 86.

I'm juz guessing about the faulty start button thing FYI.

its a bit odd though...

if the start button is faulty... wont it start Story Mode... choose Akina Lake... and start the race with Iketani all at one shot?

i'm suspecting button mashing due to impatience more likely though...

Could be while he's pressing it the start button got stuck? Which ends up automatically choosing the 86 for him?

IMHO maybe its not completely stuck, but it gets stuck halfway. Or, like stormfox said, impatient button mashing. ><''

hmm... more like faulty machine setting...

a faulty start will Select Story Mode, Select Akina Lake, Select Iketani race all in the same sequence no?

or a half stuck button...

ok.. bottom line... the machine sucks! tongue.gif

That's about the gist of it..

Good thing I wasn't tempted to try any of the IDAS machine (either 4 or 5) when I went to Genting to other day..

Can't, really, what with my mother in tow.. tongue.gif

Like I said, it could be stuck halfway. Meaning its ok for a few presses and then it got stuck.

Genting's machines are sucky anyways. Its overpriced, poorly maintained, and most machines are really low in volume.
