ATTN MODS: THIS IS A GT3 CHALLENGE!!!!!!

This is how it works. You pick a car from the list, and apply the listed mods if you so choose. There is no "substituting", as in "can I trade _____ mod for _____ mod?" Also, you get as many laps as you want, but the time you post here WILL BE YOUR FINAL TIME. I've chosen certain mods just to make the grid more fair.

The track will be Complex String, non reverse. I picked this because it simulates Togue racing more than any other course, with it's narrow roads, sharp corners, and changing heights. Below are the cars you have to choose from.

Civic SiR-II (NA Tune 2, Port & Polish, Racing Exhaust)
Civic Type-R (NA Tune 2, Port & Polish, Racing Exhaust)
Integra Type-R Japanese (NA Tune 2, Port & Polish, Racing Exhaust)
MX-5 Miata first generation (NA Tune 2, Racing Exhaust, Port & Polish)
RX-7 Infini III (Racing Exhaust)
RX-7 Type RS (Stock)
Lancer Evo IV (Stock)
Skyline GT-R R32 (Sports Brake Kit)
Silvia K's 2000 (Racing Exhaust, Port & Polish)
180SX Fastback (Racing Exhaust, Port & Polish)
MR2 GT-S (Stock)
Celica GT-Four (Stock)
Sprinter Trueno Shigeno Version (Racing Exhaust)
Sprinter Trueno (Turbo Tune 2, Racing Exhaust)

Wheels and sports tires are free, NO RACING TIRES. Oil change trick is OK. Manual or Automatic tranny, your choice.

You may tune your car as much as you like, as long as it uses only the mods I have listed, or the stock parts. By "tune", I mean setup, like gear ratios, suspension, etc. (stock partus used ONLY, unless otherwise stated).

Remember, this is based on the honor system. NO BULLSHITTING TIMES OR MODDING CARS EXTRA/USING UNLISTED CAR. If you bullshit a time, you ruin the fun for everybody.

Winner gets a prize! If this goes well I'll hold some other tourneys.

So go out and set a good time!

NOTE: If anyone finds that any one car blows the crap out of another car, let me know! I've tried my best to make the field even, and would love to make it as even as humanly possible!

EDIT: Turbo Tuned Miatas are now outlawed! Switch that to an NA Tune 2 and you'll be OK though.

But it's a GT3 challenge, silly! It just uses only the cars from the series, on a track that remotely resembles a togue, hence the name.

Read before you post dry.gif

I guess I'll give it a go. I'm curious on how you will be able to adjust your gear ratios and suspension without being allowed transmission or suspension mods... bah! Just read that it'll be on Complex String! Why not Laguna Seca? I've been practicing that track like a mofo! I suck at Complex String!

It's because Laguna Seca resembles a togue as much as a sandbox resembles Death Valley. Complex String has all the twists, turns, and surprises of a togue, plus it requires you to stay on your toes.

are we allowed to drift?

as long as you can get the fastest time by following the setting limitations and staying on course with at least 2 tires on the ground [one front, one back, no wheelies] and no wall-riding nor grass-cutting [if there is grass, which i don't remember there to be]

regular rules
just car selection and modification limits

The 180SX IS in GT3, but they call it the 240SX Fastback Type X. There's also ANOTHER 240 that's an S14. We want the Fastback in the challenge, not the S14.

Excuse me, but did I say you could? No? Then you can't.

Sorry if I come off as an ass, but I gotta keep this fair.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The Shigeno Trueno now must be used with NO NA tune. Racing Exhaust ONLY (other than the free upgrades).

Sorry about all the changes but this is my first time doing this. I've got a few more in the works.

Heh, I was thinking that it's all relative, but I just realized that none of the upgrades are adjustable...oh well, I guess I was meaning TCS and ASM, more or less.
