I have someone in mind to play Kenji if you wanna give up the role. Tessou and Sanae: When I said to use the dub, it was strictly for syllable count. No way do I want to use the TP names or anything. My only thought was, those of us who don't have immediate access to the episode itself (to synch along to the video) would be able to write lines that match the 'flaps if we had an English script that already did. That's it. I've got the DVDs so again, doesn't bother me too much either way. Was just thinking in general. Back to perverting this script~

That said, let's wait for all of you to express your opinion and then go with what the majority wants to do. As per the crack-filled one, I'm really looking forward to what you guys are coming up with. |

Unless people flat-out drop out, let's not change up who plays who, okay?

IDW Okamisan Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,514 Member No.: 19,388 Joined: Aug 7th 2006 Location: Milan, Italy | Dori: like Nomake said, unless people drop out from the project, it's best not to change who plays who. Also, it's not like Initial D is short of characters, right? JZX100: if you don't feel like you can do something you'll be happy with, it's totally fine. I don't want you to feel pressured to go ahead, after all, this project is supposed to be something fun for us to do, okay? SCRIPT - SERIOUS VERSION: Judging by what some of you guys have told me via PM, the general preference is to use the TokyoPop one with the original Japanese names so, I'd say you can all start recording using that one. For that purpose, Pikachu has given me a really good idea: let's have a naming convention for the audio files audio files, "EP1_00_03_18_21.mp3", this, as you can see, uses the first timestamp of the sentence you're recording. That way it'll be easier to look for a specific timestamp for the people who will do the mixing. SCRIPT - CRACK VERSION: The time limit for this one should be pretty soon. I'd say we should aim to have something ready for next weekend. If you guys need more time/ideas, please let one of us know, okay? Once again, thanks to all for your help! |

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks Keisuke WAS actually thinking that while he was talking to them. I-LOVE-IT.

The 6th Blameless Shift Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,720 Member No.: 2,067 Joined: Jun 21st 2004 Location: The Other Side | So Tokyopop (instead of the fansubbed) version and the crack version both? I'm fine with the Tokyopop version if that's what the majority wants. But when I first watched the TP version last night, it sounded horrible. They talk ghetto. Lol. A suggestion: if we're making both versions, lets make the video dual language that we can switch, if possible. You know, like we can switch between English and Japanese audio in mkv and ogm? I think it'll be really great. Completing the series would make it even greater and every ID fan would probably wanna watch it like another anime series. Lol. (Hope we don't get sued for copyright, though...) |

Will definitely start doing my part by this weekend and might have everything done by next Monday, including recordings for both versions. |

No, what you guys should do is what a lot of abridged redubs do; have some disclaimer about for some whack tokyopop line in the middle of all the new dialog.

IDW Okamisan Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,514 Member No.: 19,388 Joined: Aug 7th 2006 Location: Milan, Italy | A disclaimer WILL be added along with the credits. Not that it makes what we're doing in any way legal but, as long as we don't make a profit out of it, we should be fine. Saint: The idea was to have the double audio track encoded with the video track in an ogm or mkv file. This way we can easily switch from the serious one to the lulz version without having to change file. My only question is this: what formats are currently supported by IDW TV? |

Everything. IDW TV merely rebroadcasts what you have on your screen. You can do anything you want. (Keep in mind, I use it to broadcast erogame playthroughs)

More NEGATIVE than a black hole Group: ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 19,345 Member No.: 12,263 Joined: Sep 12th 2005 Location: Update Profile | I'm doffing the plan to read the amount of lipflaps. It's ridiculously hard and tedious and it will never be done in time if we want to have this done by the weekend. All I'm doing now is matching the audio time for time. If Keisuke talks for 5 seconds, I'm talking for 5 seconds. Watch the "Juggernaut B*tch" videos and you'll see that this can still be hilarious without even attempting to match flaps. |

Anyway, someone here will very likely have a better idea. Nomake: great to hear we'll be able to broadcast this. All we need now is to find a free slot for the "premiere".
