I think it's worth it for the ability to back up save data alone. My PS3 froze a couple of times recently so I was getting paranoid.

^My GT5 froze up on me several times. I guess rather than fixing the bug, they just let you back up your saves... *shrugs*

I would suggest watching the examples, if you haven't already. They can be quite helpful. If your using the analog stick, try not to turn all the way on the turns. Will help you keep up your speed. I'm using a force gt so im not sure how hard it is with controller =\

Anybody having any visual problems? (Besides the jagged shadows)

I'm really starting to notice these weird glitches. It wasn't a big deal until I did The Focus ST Madrid seasonal event. It was absolutely horrible. It's kinda hard to explain but I get these clear lines that appear to break up my screen. Sorta like the lines you would see when watching an old VHS tape. Except these are clear and sorta blend in with the background.

It's really noticeable for me when I'm going through S-turns or chicanes in a big groups of cars.

Anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT: I got an answer on GameFAQs and i guess it's screen tearing. Heard the term before, just never encountered it till now.

Yep, screen tearing. I've mentioned it a couple times here; its where the system can't keep up with the visuals. Either the frame rate drops, or it tries to maintain frame rate, but can't render the entire frame quick enough. It will only manage to get about half way down before needing to start the other frame, causing a disconnect. It's not entirely uncommon in games with big visuals, but I was certainly surprised at the frequency with which it happens in GT5.

There is only one NASCAR on the Nurburgring race... It gives you a million credits for winning it in 1st and practically guarantees a jump in A spec rating. It's in seasonal challenges and it is easy as pie.

I hope they release more seasonal challenges. The 1 million credits was nice. It gave plenty of EXP as well.

I've been doing the American Championship Indy race lately. Takes about 3 minutes and you win 118,000 per race. Best race I've came across so far for money grinding.

New seasonal events are up. Looks like they took off the restrictions because so many people were complaining about them being too hard. So much for a challenge now.. lol Atleast it'll be good exp and money.

Or they're giving us a round of easy ones because the other ones were "so difficult." Like a breather of sorts.

The others were appropriately challenging. If you knew your stuff and you knew how to play the game you won. I'm rather sad seeing how much you can !#%!#%! up on the ring NASCAR challenge and still be almost half a minute ahead.

The only one I couldn't win for the life of me was the Tsukuba Fiat 500 one. That was ridiculous.

Maybe just speaking from ignorance- But while I like the ring I cant help but feel they missed the details of a few spots. The carousel in particular seems REALLY toned down. Again, ignorance moment- Id REALLY like to talk to floh on this one and get his opinion.

Nordschleife is always made wrong in video games. It's always far too narrow and it doesnt feature surface chances (as it's comprised of a couple different patches in spots).

Not sure if PD just added this feature or if it's always been there, just no one noticed it.

Variable weather has been there forever.

Also, how the hell does that kid know what the X1 is, yet doesn't know what a Celica is...
