This is the story, a few years ago, my beloved husband bought me a Creative NOMAD MuVo TX 1GB MP3 player. It all worked fantastically well up until a few months ago where for some reason, it kept stopping after a few seconds of playing it. Back then, I just downloaded all the releavant drivers and firmware and reflashed the thing with absolutely NO problem so all went well and my trusty MP3 player was back. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, it just died on me all of a sudden and even though I managed to get it in Recovery Mode and that the driver and firmware recognise the device, when the firmware starts the required formatting, this is what I get: The error message says: Operating System Reporte Error: Traffic Light (??) Timeout Period Expired. As a reference, the driver version I got is this one: MStorage_PCDRV_LB_1_07_00_250.exe I also installed this: MuVoTX_DRV_LB_1_00_05_250.exe and the firmware I'm using is this one: MuVoTX_PCFW_LF_1_22_03e.exe For the record, I've tried this operation in THREE different computers, two with Windows XP Pro and another one with XP Home Edition. If you guys have any other version which you think might help me, please do somehow send it to me. Also, before any of you suggest to me to buy a new MP3 player, I would really try to solve the issue before I finally give up. I know it's an old thing but it hold a lot of happy memories, including the fact that my husband just bought it for me the day after I casually mentioned that I would like to have a tiny thing which made lots of noise and that's what the MuVo is and I love it. So, please, if anyone wants to try and help me, I'm all ears!! This post has been edited by Sanae on Jun 1 2010, 11:29 AM |

Can you believe the idiots I deal with? Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,190 Member No.: 6,608 Joined: Apr 11th 2005 Location: Update Profile | Try using an older firmware? Seems like main components from your current firmware are missing considering it is detected as 0.00.00 . Perhaps it's reached its limit of reading/writing. |

At any rate, I've checked everywhere and it seems like the product itself it's deemed as 'End of Life Service' by even Creative themselves so they don't give a damn about whether the firmware version they have on their website works or not and other than the Knowledge Base and the forums, they don't offer any other kind of support. I'm frankly disappointed about this but my husband has fixed it by buying me a new player which is bigger, better and definitely NOT Creative. So, problem solved. |
