QUOTE
The buried monoliths are each up to 15ft tall. Instead of being arranged in a circle as they are at Stonehenge, it is thought they once formed a long standing line.

‘We’re looking at one of the largest stone monuments in Europe and it has been under our noses for something like 4,000 years,’ said Professor Vince Gaffney, from the University of Bradford, one of the archaeologists leading the research. ‘It’s truly remarkable.

'We don’t think there’s anything quite like this anywhere else in the world. This is completely new and the scale is extraordinary.

More in link... Kind of wondering how come they find them sooner, it's only a mile or so from Stonehenge.

its a new interesting find. though im not surprised they took that long for it. they spent 5 years mapping the areas around it with ground penetrating radar. they found many sites for burials, gathering places, construction corridors from the quarry to the general ares and many mounds of interest related the the Stonehenge complex. the main focus of the area is where the last few stones have remained above ground. they found alot of areas of interest that that has long since been buried.

heres a article of the stonehenge mapping project. as you could see they had their hands full.
