I lost my connection 2 days ago and only the test light was on the modem and the PC and Cable lights were off. Turns out the stupid POS modem died... I had to wait for 40 minutes on the phone to talk to someone from shaw I went and got a new modem today, and I have it working now. My connection is still really choppy sometimes though |

For those of you who dont know what a dailer is, its a program that hijacks your dial up connection and redirects it to some foreign location, like The Democratic Republic of Congo, and then charges you a super high fee. Anyway, telstra would not give these peoples money back, but the went on A Current Affair, or Today Tonight or one of those 'complaining people' shows, and they ended up paying. |
