Yeah, R* was VERY tight lipped about buying property in this game, to the point that they just flat out said that it wouldn't be a feature in the game many months ago. This preview is really blowing the doors open.

The amount of ground to cover in this game is insane. They said it will be larger than the entirety of GTA IV, San Andreas, and Red Dead Redemption put together, and the many sites with their coverage of the demo are basically saying that R* wasn't just making shit up. The game is HUGE.

At some forum they estimated the total size of GTA V:
It will be more than 30 Square Miles!!! (78 sq Km) w00t2.gif

Cannot wait to buy it!

Yep: "the game's bigger than Rockstar's GTA: San Andreas, GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption combined. "

Saw today a first-hand Kotaku accounting article that said you could modify the vehicles... that and I loved the wilderness areas in San Andreas and they are making a comeback...

Now its a guaranteed pre-order for me.

Some other interesting things mentioned:

"There's a nine-hole golf course in this game. You can play it. You can choose your clubs.

There is also a yoga mini-game in this game.

And ATM robberies you can interfere with.

And cars you can customize.

And shipwrecks.

And sharks."

I just want more info on the missions and music in the game. will it be longer than GTA IV? Where it takes literally days of playtime to complete, and the soundtrack, bigger? around the same?

let's hope no dubstep.

Awww I love dubstep crying2.gif

Well, to be fair, I love pretty much anything except Hawaiian and country. Or songs that talk only about clubs and parties.

They've already said the songs used in that last trailer will be in-game. Can only imagine it will be massive soundtrack.

I can't wait. I'm interested in the car selection. Are any of the one shot cars from San Andreas coming back or what? The Jester, Buffalo, and the one I want back the most... THE ZR-350

Franklin's trailer shows a few seconds of a car that looks somewhat like the ZR-350, so you should be alright.

I'd kill to see the Buffalo again. I always decked it out in flat black and pretended I was Mad Max. biggrin.gif

I can't remember the names of the cars, but I wanna see that Pulsar GTI-R look alike back.

Also, wasn't there a R31/R32 looking car in SA? Can't remember the name of that one either.

I'm looking at that car on the back of the truck in the background... kinda fuzzy... some sort of lotus ripoff? Possibly a stratos ripoff? Either way, cool. smile.gif

Not sure if anybody is subscribed to Rockstar mail, but they announced the Special and Collectors Edition packs. What's in'em?

More ways for R* to take my money. I got the special edition of GTA IV (and still have all the goodies that came with it), but this is taking it to a whole different level. Collector's Edition it is, but I will be giving away the hat as soon as possible, because I fucking hate baller caps. laugh.gif

Wondering what "classic GTA characters" they'll include. It would be foolish not to be able to rock Los Santos as CJ.

Heads up.

R* has announced that they will finally show us actual gameplay tomorrow with another preview video at 10am EST on their website. They have said absolutely nothing about it except that it's releasing tomorrow, so I have no idea how long or detailed it will be.

They are planning to release multiplayer information very soon. What I do know is that it is not just called "GTA V Multiplayer", but rather "Grand Theft Auto Online". When you use the character swap feature in single player, a dial shows up at the bottom right of the screen showing the three main characters as well as your multiplayer avatar. Curious to see how this pans out.

Sounds interesting. I await the gameplay trailer with great anticipation. Online doesn't really interest me personally, and the only time I have ever done online in GTA is when friends are over and we take turns trolling.

I'm hoping to see something more fun than TDM or Racing on GTA V, maybe add some things from RDR, or something new, conquest, or as people see it as, domination. biggrin.gif

You guys getting 360 or PS3 version? Just curious. I steer away from my PS3 sometimes because its an old original fat 80gb (swapped out for a 250) model, does some strange things, and I hear stories about a yellow light of death. So if its on 360, maybe I'll see ya on.

Xbox, always. Still using the same xbox I got for x-mas, years ago, only problem I had with it was that E-74 or something error, after it got fixed, hasn't had any problems, minus the disc tray not wanting to open on it's own, but that's very minor.

^ Amazing in so many ways. The game looks FANTASTIC in action. I was really concerned that the game just couldn't look as good as it did in the earlier trailers, but I have been proven wrong.
