- UPDATES : Animax has confirmed that Final Stage will be available on its subscription-based VOD (Video On Demand) service starting May 16th, 2014. It will continue where Fifth Stage left off. Consist of a total of four episodes, Final Stage will be focusing on the long-awaited final 86 vs 86 battle between Takumi and Shinji. [confirmed]
- UPDATES : Avex has confirmed that the New Initial D The Movie will be a trilogy. First part of the trilogy is called Legend 1 -Awakening- slated for release in theaters on August 23rd, 2014 (Japan Only) [confirmed]

Everyone knows about them and they were broadcast over the Internet. But isn't it strange that nobody who held these Races seems to care about the safety of the Drivers ? I watched a lot of real Car Races and in all the Race the Drivers are wearing Helmets and Fire resistant Gloves and Overalls (at last it seems a few Drivers n MF Ghost wear these Overalls). Also all Cars have Seatbelts and in Cars with Roofs Rollcages are installed. And MF Ghost ? I didn't see any Rollcages in the Cars, and no Driver is wearing a Hemet, not even a Jet-Helm so that at last you can see their Faces. But it seems that all Drivers are using Seatbelts at last. Talk about Realism. In a secret held Touge-Battle you can drive your Car clad in a T-Shirt and Jeans and Sneakers on your Foots, but in an "official" Race you couldn’t do that in real Life. Yes, I know MF Ghost is an Anime, and all is Fantasy and Imagination, but at last they should be more realistic in this Way. Just think about all the poor Guys who watch the Anime and then try to copy it in real Life. "Overtake" the other "Race-Anime" about Formula 4,which started also this Season, is way more realistic in relation of Driver safety. Oh, and if you want to watch an actual "Live-Action-Movie" about Car Racing: How about "Gran Turismo" ? I think it's not that bad, and at last the Video Game the Movie is based on is from Japan. |

I thought the reason why they probably didn't add helmets was to show the faces and emotions of the characters. Helmets would cut that off a bit.
