The M16 is fully automatic and the AR15 is semi-auto. I'm building an AR15 one of these days.I'll probably purchase an 80% complete lower assembly as getting a good lower assembly is kind of hard to get out here.

Driving on the road of life.. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 874 Member No.: 3,498 Joined: Oct 2nd 2004 Location: Singapore | Hahahahaha, i wonder if i should be here, considering i come from a country that bans the ownership of firearms by private citizens. Ironic, considering that every male above the age of 18 here in Singapore is trained in the use of the M16 assault rifle during their two years of military service. Our front-line combat units are slowly switching over to the locally-produced bull-pup SAR21 rifle though For live-fire i've only fired a M16, but i've test-fired blank rounds on a GPMG (FN MAG) and a SAW Ultimax MKIII during my time as a weapon technician. Fun stuff.... |

moon bunny Group: XIAO Posts: 5,735 Member No.: 13,323 Joined: Oct 4th 2005 Location: Update Profile | Some years ago a friend of mine and I were huge paintball aficionados. We managed to get a decent supply of equipment from Mexico. After a month or so, we got tired of shooting each other and started making our own little game, target practice to be exact. From afar we would unravel our Spiders and attempt to hit a mix of things from cans to stop signs. One day we took our guns to a small rural area outside the city, some sort of ranching trip with the parents. As soon as the adults began roasting meat and relaxing, we suited up and started our usual game. It wasn’t long before we spot cattle across a large road from the trees that were concealing us. "That one!" my friend said pointing at the only black cow. I took out my weapon, screwed the gas cartridge, planted a single Brass Eagle into the chamber, cocked the handle, and waited in full focus. The view cleared and the black cow stood directly in the center of my scope, my finger convulsed. Out of the blue a beige sedan flew by at 60 miles per hour. Splat. My friend and I looked at each other in disbelief, then the speeding car screeched to a halt. We wanted to run but our legs weren't moving. A tall man with the most menacing complexion a child can imagine got out. He wore a long black coat, round sun glasses, a five o’clock shadow, and the pink paint of a fresh round smeared across his left cheek. Without warning he tugged both of us by the hand and into his car. For a second we though this man was gonna kill us, it could have been the white collar rolling about the floor of his car or the rosary hung behind the rear view mirror, but something told us the punishment was going to be different. The car went round and about the murky woods, and straight into our folks’ camp site. Again we were dragged before our parents, when the man threw the guns in front of them and demanded an explanation. The gear we had worked so hard to procure was trashed in the blink of an eye. I’m not sure if I would have been remotely interested in guns had my friend not been a girl. Chalk me up the revolver club, I owe that to Russell and Sutherland. |

WTF?! These machine/gattling guns look like something out of a mecha anime... Like Vulcans on the head of a Gundam... They are HUGE! I suppose these babies are operated by button and not a trigger... cuz im sure i'd lose my lunch trying to fire one of either of these.
