And if you'll excuse me I gotta start prepping the playlist. I may have hinted at what's on the playlist tonight throughout the week. Scroll through the logs if you can't remember. EDIT: Half-time update. Show's going pretty well as expected. I'm gonna be on until IDR's time slot, since Tessou's not on tonight. EDIT: As you can see, IDR is NOT on right now, so I'll be on ALL THE WAY until Nomake Wan's eronight. THis is gonna set the record for LONGEST SHOW EVER (just under 6 hours). EDIT: YES!!!!!!!! I ACTUALLY DID IT!!! I have now set the current record for longest show at just under 6 hours. This post has been edited by HashiriyaR32 on Jul 15 2008, 01:48 PM |

That 6-hour record is probably never going to be broken by ANYONE for at least MONTHS. However, I may end up gathering enough material for NEXT week to perform ANOTHER endless setlist, time permitting of course. |

As for the time record, I don't think it's gonna be beaten during the weekend, but DEFINITELY during the workweek, with the exception of sunday (No one's on, unless you count Dave) and friday (Kikumaru and N1). |

We've been retro for most of the shows, yes, but we're steering out of there occasionally. I'm trying not to delve into any of the anime or video game music since that stuff is generally territory traversed by the rest of the DJs (save for N1's amazing Eronight shows, those are unique as hell). Gotta be the only different one to stand out, know what I mean?

I think it's cool and all that you're the record holder, but..don't let it get to your head, lol. There's no sense in saying stuff like, "Gotta be the only different one to stand out, know what I mean?" when I could say the same about some of my shows. Did you ever heard someone playing Sengoku Basara music, or hours worth of Vocaloid, or much less..holding a two hour special for Ys? There are some things that make each and every one of us deejays unique. Don't worry, it's not just you Tesso |

I meant that generally, the other DJs other than myself play a lot of japanese/video game music, whereas I have adopted the practice of not doing so. It was my observation that the more unique shows (N1's eronight, for instance) garner a lot more attention on the airwaves, hence the odd man out comment. I'm not trying to downplay any of my fellow DJs at all, so I'm sorry if that was the impression you got. You guys are all great! Let's keep the radio going strong forever! |

I thought that's how you came across too, N1 does play a mixture of anime/video game-like music on his shows, when I was doing my shows I was doing much the same as well. Variety is not a bad thing in the case of IDW Radio!

Yes. And not just Da Capo, I may be playing a track or two from Suika as well. And yes, you guys read right. I, DJ HASHIRIYAR32, am going to review an eroge! It'll be a surprise, and you won't know what it is until AFTER the IOSYS set. EDIT: Well in my case, TRY to review it. The only reason why I chose it is because someone helped me and answered any questions I had while I was playing it (NOT Nomake Wan. It's someone on AnimeSuki forums). EDIT2: Okay, due to LACK OF ATTENDANCE, I have CANCELED MY FIRST ERONIGHT. However, it will be replaced by another IOSYS album. Wasn't really going to have it end up in me being "ambitious but rubbish". EDIT3: f**k IT. Seriously, that could've been a good IOSYS set, but then the disconnects came in. Anyway......I am going to need a new headset very soon if I'm ever to do karaoke properly come friday. This post has been edited by HashiriyaR32 on Jul 23 2008, 07:44 PM

I want a 7-9PM PST timeslot for this Friday and Saturday. 'Cause I don't have work on Saturday and that was my old timeslot so I'm gonna do a special show in that timeslot. I want to, anyway. Up to you. |

Oh, weird I thought you led me to believe it was you who thought Kiks had a show during the 7-9 PM slot... I don't really keep track of the timeslots much myself... so... yeah... It's too bad I missed hearing your debut on the e-night Hashi... Any hint on what game it was?

Anyway, I'll be starting at around 7:30-8PM EST tonight. EDIT: Nothing kills shows like constant disconnects. Seriously, I think my connection is dying on me AGAIN. Hell, I was seriously considering of changing my playlist the moment you said that I wasn't paying attention to the timezones and stuff....... However, I WILL grant you the 7-9PM PST slot for tonight. Well, that's the least I can do anyway. I'm very sorry that I basically started this mess.
