can your C12 churn out 900bhp+? wink2.gif oh, btw, I recently created a sweetly handling Impreza Coupe R. I'll put the setup into the MFT thread at GTP. I'll also update the Blackbird setup, I've managed to make it much more friendly. it still kills you if you make obvious mistakes, but not as easily and without warning as before.

Horsepower isn't everything. wink2.gif Especially if no one runs ANY aids.

I agree, horsepower means nothing unless you have good way to put it all down, AKA 4WD!

I'll admit you'd have me on the straights, but you'd be surprised how fast the C12 can take corners, also, don't forget, with 4WD comes understeer laugh.gif

I'll test your Blackbird again, see how friendly it is now happy.gif

Well, after the release of the Berserker R Mark II, comes around Mark III in the making. Gotta make a better suspension setup. But the good thing is, the Berserker R Mark II is.... yeah, oversteer and powerover friendly. Those who like a dangerous car like that, I'm sure you'll enjoy feeling the sensation as if you're in Wangan Highway itself. tongue.gif I'll post up the settings into my thread.

Or a TVR with over 1000bhp, I'm sure the Skyline can't beat that.

flat-out acceleration from standstill? it'll be easy kill for a GT-R, since I've driven Cerbera Speed 12, and it will spin it's wheels all the way to 6th gear if it's tuned for maximum power. top speed? fastest GT-R's have reached 340mph at GTP's 300mph club. only area where GT-R could lose is cornering.

My Supra will own any GT-R, any day. grin2.gif

Anyway, I still think the Tsukuba wet is the best course. I didn't participate in a challenge on that track before, maybe it's a good time to make one?

Wait till the BMI is over, and i'll be holding one there with strict requirements to help force entrants to master throttle control

In GT2 I put traction control on my Speed 12. I have it tuned to where it turns off at 40mph in 1st gear. Fast enough for me to shift into 2nd. You just need to know how to control the awkward heavy/powerfulness of the damn beast.

Besides, what AWD car doesn't have traction assist to help it launch?

I still think Sony should bring back drag racing. It is the only missing aspect of the game. Plus why have that Vegas drag strip if you can't use it?(GT4)

The thing is Fin, when doing laps the only time you go from stand still is the beginning and you don't need to slow down to 3 km/h to make a turn when its no limit tuning. The fastest lap time I've gotten on CS5 is with the TVR and it can still improve.

what tyres were you running on? I never use softer than R3's, and I know from my own experience that CS12 can be VERY slippery even with those. fear2.gif

Another idea i thought of is this,

You all know how in a normal Time Attack comp, we usually just throw the best of the best parts on a car, Race tires, Race Suspension, Lv.3 weight reduction, etc

Well i was thinking, what if we started one, but no racing parts would be allowed, Semi-race exhaust max, No Racing Brakes, No Brake Controller, Little weight reduction, S2 tires, etc ?

That might make for a interesting TA, Use car's that are built a little more realistically, No "Super-Sleepers" (Like my Impreza, thing's built like a WRC car), You know ?

Of course, there are loopholes to that as well. The Hommell Berlinette for example; made and developed just for racing.

And I'll add Tommykaira ZZ-S to the mix. Lighter and more powerful than Elise.

I've had a crazy idea, spawned from Top Gear... yeah, I saw your ears perk up when you heard that wink2.gif

Basically, you have 20,000 to spend on buying, and tuning a car. Everyone will submit parts lists with prices. Also photographic proof of the car in the used car lot is needed.

Then its normal TA, but no limits apart from cost.

The loopholes of this are, someone could buy a cheap Skyline or Lancer and thrash the competition easily. But I guess most of us here can deal with that one way or another shifty2.gif

Edit: Where it relates to GT then I hear you think. They do the same thing with 1,000 or so, then do challenges. 1k will get you NOTHING on GT, maybe a floating ECU? So 20k to be fair.

I'd be up for a challenge like that atm, but i can't say much for the near future, i'll be even more busy by then...

I think 10'000 credits is already enough. Rules are simple; buy a car that's less than or equal to 10'000 credits, and go on a series of challenges (Remaining stock, All Aids off)

1: Do a track run through the Nurburgring
2: A quarter mile drag race
3: A race through Seattle Circuit with difficulty 5
4: With the remaining credits, tune the car.
5: etc, etc, etc

How does that sound?

Of course, I know that bloody loophole car; The Chevrolet Camaro Z28
