Welcome to Tsukuba Circuit, One of the most famous Circuits of Japan. Entry Restriction(s): *Restricted to the AE86 Chasis *Restricted to Racing Super Hard Tires (R1) *Transmission must be set via “Auto†to 6, no individual or final gear adjustments *Front Camber must not exceed 2.5, Rear Camber must not exceed 1.5 *No Nitrous , Downforce, or TURBO, 1-way L.S.D only, other modifications are allowed *Driving Aids MUST BE OFF !!! (No ASM, No TCS, No Aids whatsoever.) *Keep at least two wheels on the track at any given time. *No intentional wall contact. (i.e. - wall-ride, rail-ride.. etc.) *Must be less than 250hp Naturally Aspirated (includes the fresh-oil-change trick) Purpose of this event: There are certain skills that can be very beneficial when fully mastered, however sometimes these skills are used then forgotten about, or not even realized at all by the driver. In this event, we will be focusing on one of these skills, namely Throttle Control, Some may think they have it, others may not even use it at all and rely on ‘grippy’ tires to hold them in place, and that’s the problem, they rely on vehicle performance more than their own performance. I believe its time to change that. I have constructed this event with certain restrictions in place so that the car will behave in a way that it will require delicate throttle control to fully bring out all of its potential, yet I am still allowing the driver freedom in other settings, as to make them as comfortable as possible while pushing them outside the comfort zone. The goal for the driver is to bring out the highest, balanced level of performance of the car through their own driving, instead of relying on settings, and that will become the key to having the best lap times. So, with the rules in place, I wish you all the best of luck, and hope to see this event bloom into a great competition. Top Rankings 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. That was my colleague's recommendation when an amateur of wet tracks like me to try it out first. James: Something's fishy about the title after Fat Man mentioned it. D.I.E. R3's will do just fine, just the right amount of grip balanced with the potential of slipping, trust me, if i were to say S3's you'd be smashing your head into the top of your wheel with how much wheelspin would be there

FF, heavy rain and speed limit of 60= slippeeeh but what about final gear ratio? anyways, here's my result while driving with DS2. I might be able to improve with G25.. Even so the 86 doesn't interest me so I will have to pass... However, unofficially I'll bring my GT-R and see how it racks up though, but that is off the record |

BTW, is SS-Trueno allowed in this? To me, that car feels bit too slow and gutless.. and I want mah torque at the corners exit, even if it's just a Trueno! |

Its got a AE86 chasis doesn't it ? Im still testing different tire setups, i should have a finalized set this afternoon, then you guys can start making serious runs Edit* I've finished testing, and final tire choice is going to be R1 Racing Super-hard tires, i've found them to suit the purpose of this event the best with the right balance of grip and slip, also, when submitting times please use this format: 'Name / Car / HP / Tires / Time' P.S (I always manage to forget stuff, don't i ? ) This post has been edited by Kurei on Aug 12 2007, 06:43 AM

For my unofficial runs I'll run with bolted on S3 tires... Cheaper option than the wider R class tires

By the way Kurei. There is one loophole in your challenge. You haven't stated that a Fully customizeable transmission MUST be used, using the stock one that has wider ratios is an option, and there are no suspension or toe restrictions which can affect your desire to require delicate throttle work EDIT: I am quite happy with my 34... 1.08:885 so far... down from 1.09:694 with a simple trick... Not the usual throttle work mind you... But handbrake operation This post has been edited by Sweeper on Aug 12 2007, 02:39 PM

As for LSD, im only allowing the 1-way Differential, which can't be adjusted, as for Suspension choice, im allowing that to be open as well as a few settings to allow some freedom. Besides, the point of this isn't to exploit every single loophole, its to rely on skill instead of settings and parts for good lap times, if people choose to exploit it, their only denying themselves improvement
