Hi guys. In this question i will ask something about the tuning of the car. Is there a big difference between Ex Spec and Full Spec? Should I consider to upgrade my car to full spec? My car (zc6) is currently Ex Spec, and my TA for all course is gold (except for tsuchisaka since i rarely play this course), and I find it difficult to climb to platinum rank. The closest course to reach platinum is the Happogahara downhill which is 2'59 minutes. Can someone please help me on this question?

According to past discussions, there's no significant difference in TA performance, if any.

Personally I don't feel it either. The cars handle the same. I suspect there's better boost in battles, though, but maybe that's just placebo effect.

One thing for sure, you won't jump to platinum just because your car is Ex Spec Full. Full Spec (full Spec 5) is enough to even get Specialist. It's a matter of practice.

Pretty much what Saint said. If your car is Ex Spec already, the only thing that separates you and a Platinum is your skills. Highly skilled players have gotten Specialist with just Ex Spec.

Also, I'm not sure why you think Happo is the easiest Platinum. It's one of the hardest for me, easiest should be Usui or Myogi uphill.

Been in your shoe and I tell u this: ex spec is very pointless, like Saint said its only faster in battle and that's for online network battle

I personally don't recommend doing ex spec as its pointless now since online is gone, so I recommend u just save up those points for new car or something like (which was something I should have done)

I play on offline exp machines in North America, but when I got back to asia (I work there) I don't id8.........so ex spec was pretty pointless for me

Person opinion now more to it

Yeah, just to further corroborate what's already been said is no significant difference. I don't think the TA ranking changed in a big way when it was introduced. At best, it's extremely marginal if any for TA.

So just sticking to ExSpec should be okay, you won't be losing anything.
