No, you just brake, ram the apex, and exit in 3rd gear.

I'm really not the person to ask about Iro though (Let's hope somebody more knowledgeable comes along. ). My time on that course is mediocre at best. Brake, turn in, ram the inside rail and let your car slide past the apex while turning. Ideally you shouldn't hit the outside wall on exit. Don't brake too hard. All you need the brakes for is to avoid getting the acceleration penalty as you exit the turn. This post has been edited by icedagger on Oct 19 2008, 06:37 AM |

Yup. Icedagger is correct. You get lagged acceleration if you miss the right braking points. I do have to point out the "ramming" part. Its not really a wall ram. Here's my tip for all you aspiring iro players. Its more like... "wall slide"

Well, if you're not braking on Iro at all, you're probably getting the acceleration penalty on every single turn, without even realizing it. At least one pro player has confirmed that there is an acceleration penalty (DamienWolf), so I would suggest you give braking a try before arguing your point any further. Anyway I just looked at the rankings page for Central USA:
Sorry for the frankness, but that's not fast at all. Learn to brake properly and you can easily shave off at least 10 seconds from it without too much difficulty. As it stands now any decent player could beat that time with a stock car.

actually thats one of my default times..... ive yet to update it. ^.^;; and im also trying different techs on how to break and turn.... and im always breaking. and of course i drive the 86..... the only problem is that im still getting used to driving in the rain on 1.5 im so used to ver 1.2. but ive hit a 3:02 on iro uphill wet. and im always changing cars in other words im going from my 86 to my fd3s and vice-versa. though i still wonder why are there not that many id4 teams around texas. and plus i have a theory that kinda sounds weird but ill leave it up to people....
