- UPDATES : Animax has confirmed that Final Stage will be available on its subscription-based VOD (Video On Demand) service starting May 16th, 2014. It will continue where Fifth Stage left off. Consist of a total of four episodes, Final Stage will be focusing on the long-awaited final 86 vs 86 battle between Takumi and Shinji. [confirmed]
- UPDATES : Avex has confirmed that the New Initial D The Movie will be a trilogy. First part of the trilogy is called Legend 1 -Awakening- slated for release in theaters on August 23rd, 2014 (Japan Only) [confirmed]

IDW Lurker  Group: Advanced Members Posts: 3,932 Member No.: 2,006 Joined: Jun 13th 2004 Location: Netherlands | Who is actually doing the cars setting ? I mean how the brake balance , ride height , spring rate ... should be tuned ? Is it by the Aces (Takumi and Keisuke) themself or by Ryosuke ? |

Besides both Takumi and Keisuke got their own personal mechanics thnks to Ryosuke and remember since Takumi is in Project D basically his mechanic is the one that is doing all the tuning but that mechanic s awesome and even Bunta is amazed that he has never seen the 86 in such great shape. |

Takumi is the downhill specialist so he races opponents who go downhill and Keisuke is the uphill ace so he races uphill to those who race uphill too. |

Answer..spoilerssss for ep 5&6 There was a quote from ep 5 where it says that the mechanics took overs to tune the cars during the practice but no one can tuen it properly but when Ryosuke woke up, it was tuned right away | ||

They make practice runs, and decide from there how to tune the vehicle, building it around the preferences of each driver. |

Team YG Revilution Group: Advanced Members Posts: 930 Member No.: 1,540 Joined: Mar 29th 2004 Location: Auckland, New Zealand | Yeah in episode 5 you see the guy with long hair (kinda like Miki - Celica GT4 guy) tuning Keisuke's car and the other guy with hair kinda like Bunta tuning Takumi's car. remember during their practice runs that guy sat next to Takumi with a laptop. I suppose what Ryosuke does it look at the course and their practice runs and tells the mechanic how to tune their cars so it runs best on this course. And since Ryosuke was asleep they didn't know what to do. |

The ones fixing Keisuke's car in the first race in the first stage. Takumi probaly get's his car tuned from them and Ryosuke as well. |

They ride with them and see how the car is adjusting to the course and fine tune it from there. In ep 1 (i think all my eps got deleted cause my hd crashed) the mechanic rides with takumi. |
