AWD and RWD are drivetrains AWD distributes power to all four wheels. RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) or FR distributes power to just the rear wheels. and FF (front wheel drive) distributes power to the front wheels only.

Thats what I can think of right now in differences, AWD drifting is more difficult since your steering wheels are powered, and in GT4 you have to worry about the front wheel snap backs as you power your way through the drift. By snap backs I mean that the front end starts sliding towards the outside despite your attempts to steer INTO the slide, Evo's and Imprezas are VERY prone to this. The GT-R is the exception in the AWD department, the reason for that is due to the nature of the design, it is a FR based 4WD instead of FF based like most other cars and it was designed to have the FR power oversteer abillity combined with the traction of 4WD. And in GT4, you will notice that it does have some FR behaviour in corners, which with some power can result in easy and interesting drifts. The main weakness of the GT-R is when you end up in a 4WD Crabwalk, which means your car is at 90 degree angle across the road and your pedal is to the metal, the R have problems recovering from such situations compared to lets say an Impreza or Evo. |

so basically the GT-R has kind of an actuall feeling of a RWD? What i did to make my R32 drit is i do feint drifting with it so i can get the more angle and to have it stay as a long drift while having the acceleration throttle all the way BTW here is my video of my cars up drifting that i post up there ^^. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=omaps4Ki8mM This post has been edited by ArwingSupra on Sep 29 2008, 09:27 PM
