Not Without Incident Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,803 Member No.: 22,878 Joined: Jan 18th 2007 Location: Someplace very violent... | Im enjoying reading this. Although I can say Im more biased to the ID series, I play both games but wangan only just so I can have a few moments rest from the tremendous strain ID5 puts on me for tactics on maintaining speed, proper braking on corners, proper entering and exiting technique and a whole lot of other deliciously hard sh*t ID is famous for. I'll keep this thread open unless I see some flames. If I do, not even 900hp or double full tune can stop you from my warns. |

ID is more towards the technical side though; small things like steering, braking, the timings where you step back on the gas, etc etc all have a very noticeable impact on your times. Not saying MT3 don't of course - It's just that the emphasis on the above is slightly stronger in ID then in Wangan. Of course, my 1 cent's worth - Feel free to debate. |

I try before MT, I like the ghost mode, quite challenging. For now ID5 still in the initial stage, I hope the coming version would be much better. Anyway is up to individual, but for mii I find ID5 more challenging. Keyed Xue~K |

Depends.. If you like driving in high speed, like me, then you'll probably like it. But it's not as challenging as ID, and while the Ghost Race mode is good, the need to play 200+ games (like someone already mentioned somewhere, sorry forgot where) to get FT'ed can be quite annoying... Fyi, I played both games. Stopped playing MT for a while though, because of the different gameplay style since IDAS 5.. I tried playing a game in MT once immediately after I played ID, and while I could clear corners better than I usually could in MT, I also lost by 100+ m because of the waaaaaaaaaay slower cornering speed... For MT anyway... And it's almost always full, compared to ID machines. This post has been edited by McKwack on Oct 8 2009, 01:00 AM

The MT machines in my area have been empty lately, but it turns out that the main reason is because the H-gears are all broken one way or another.. The one I played always slipped to Neutral whenever I shift to 2nd or 3rd gear.. Not surprising, actually, considering how rough most (if not all) of those kids handle those machines, slamming into the next gear like they don't care what'll happen to it..
