I dunno about the whole alicorn stuff. But it doesn't seem to be bad. The episodes never REALLY disappointed me. And hopefully the writers will do a good job making the episode.

When I first watched this show, I was like meh, another girl show, it should be dumb.
I turned away from the TV. But the show kept airing for a few days. I peeked in sometimes, only to find myself drawn to it and I forced myself to get out.

Finally I couldn't resist the temptation and watched one whole episode(Hearth's Warming Eve). I was officially into it. So I started watching the whole series on YouTube.

When you have a little girl, you cant avoid watching these kinds of things. Good time waster. Also, it gives me and my daughter some bonding time when we talk about MLP.

Hmmm, I watched two seasons of the show, but afterwards I just stopped watching. Partly (mostly) because of the fanbase. Damn, that fanbase. I mean, I watched it, but some people just had to spread the "brony" movement around in every damn forum I went to. I really never understood it. I mean shows with known large fanbases like Dr. Who or Star Wars never called themselves "Doctors" or "Jedi" (never watched either of them). So, this brony movement really ticked me off, y'know? I see people with "I'm a brony, deal with it" plastered on their avatars, sigs, you name it. It really got to me how such a show could attract such a massive fanbase who feel the need to identify that they're in a fanbase.

Long story short, the community really made me stop watching. That, and I see PONIES EVERYWHERE. Don't get me started on the fanfictions/palette swap OC/Sonic-Rainbowdash crossover either.

Yeah that fanbase is ridiculous. But I don't let that bother me, though... Probably because I live in Jersey, and there's like no bronies around here AT ALL. And probably because this is the only forum I go to, but also I tend to ignore a lot of my little pony related stuff on the internet. What with the gap in between seasons, there's not really much to look at, aside from retarded fan-created stuff.

maybe also because I got into it around the end of the first season... I went from hating it to loving it in only like half an hour.

I agree, the fanbase is annoying as shit if you go to other forums. I admit, I have watched MLP and enjoyed it.

I am pretty behind on the episodes, thanks to Dorifuta's hectic work schedule; he won't let me watch it without him and he's always dead tired by the time he gets home. Still, I can't believe we're already into the 4th season, and with more to come.
