Hi to all the ID fans!

I was wondering if anyone knows whether the Redsuns have ever raced Impact Blue. I don't remember it ever being mentioned in the anime.

In the First Stage, Ryo is talking about his "Fastest In Kanto" project and it is mentioned that the Redsuns have never lost a challenge.

But perhaps it is because Usui is in a different district? I've no idea about Japanese districts being an Aussie chick!

I don't think Usui is that far from Akagi. It could be that they just never got to race each other before Takumi ended the Red Suns perfect record. By that time, the Fastest in Kanto project had died, and they didn't seek to pursue anyone else, instead Ryosuke focused on his Project D dream.

Live in Sydney, but haven't tried the Arcade Stage yet.

I know there is 2 places where they have it.

Should get off my butt and go check it out.

Initial D Arcade Stage for PS2 on March 23rd I think of this coming year. Gives you a reason to go out and get one if you haven't already.

I hear it's the same as the Arcade version (if anyone's played it), except in the arcade I hear there are only 4 stages/courses to drive on but the one for PS2 should have 11 or so I think.

I'm not sure if it has a working clutch for the game, I don't know how they'd simulate that for the console since all steering wheels out there now don't have a clutch pedal. Only arcade game I saw with a clutch is Racing Jam anyways.

Yeah the arcade stage has a manual shift console in the Arcade of course, but you'll have to wait for one to come out for your console. I've looked at some pics on the internet of the console machine, and the pics of the actual cabinet were small and not very good so I couldn't see if there was a clutch or not, but it just looked like a throttle, brake, and dead pedal. I've never seen one myself, the best wheel I think out there is the Logitech GT Pro or whatever, the one that's force feedback. But it doesn't have a clutch pedal.

It has everything like a real car, yet the arcade costs 9 grand plus. Might as well buy a real junky car and practise.

the best car to drift in that game is FC, yet the best car to drive is the FD... in my opinion... tongue.gif

Yeah, but the one I played didn't have a clutch, but more importantly, it was sequential shifting. that made me sad... blink.gif

ey drifter guy... if you're like me, i'm thinking you prefer to win cars rather than buy them happy.gif ... you could get it at Beginner League - 80's Sports Car Cup
it should be one of the cars you could get... i suggest going to gt3 times... everything's there...

would that be the gear shifting where you only go up and down? since that's what i saw in the arcade game of initial d... it seemed pretty good but the cost of playing a game is too much for it's worth... sleep.gif i've only watched, never played...

If it's sequential shifting that might be alright, since that's what you do in every other racing game out there for home consoles.

thanks tainted, i completely forgot about the 80's Sports Car Cup. and yeah i like winning cars cause it saves money and leaves me more money to mod up the cars to get them to perform the best they can.

HAPPY POSTING! happy.gif
