Need help with my FD..i dont if im just dumb or not but my FD looses a great amount of speed at the last part of Tsukuba IB/OB and Iro DH..i do hit some walls but i dont think its enough to make me down shift up to the 2nd gear only to fix it..

another thing..my FD's accel seems to suddenly go very slow when I enter 5th gear no matter when and where..

im not sure but my FD i think is 7-6-5-1-7

Thanks in advance guys!!:D

Please read the stickied threads first before asking questions. The speed loss is due to you hitting the walls. And your car loses speed whenever you turn. Especially when you're in 5th gear. In Tsukuba OB, especially 2nd cp. Turns should be taken while overreving on 4th gear. Learn the basics of how the game operates by going to Akina Lake.

thanks for the tip! i can say that can do well on akina lake, no wall hits, proper gearing.

i would still try your suggestion though, hope it works well!

BTW i saw ur TA youtube videos.. do u even use the brakes at all? i was watching the speedometer and ur speed loss is very minimal.. its like u only lose ur speed bec. of the sudden turning..

CHEERS!

Errr... yeah (except for Akina Lake) this game focuses on "braking points". If you do not brake at the braking points, your car oversteers and you have lagged accel until the next braking point.

ok thanks..now off to figuring the braking points!

ive read that when u turn a u experience a wheel lock, and its a braking point right. so i have to brake while drifting?

please tell me if what i do is wrong..

on a hairpin = brake before the pin, turn+hit gas twice, turn, and accel all the way.

for me hitting gas twice makes the car drift better. but i think its slower.

Here's what I do.
As you're coming up to the turn, when you see the road start to curve, slam on the brakes and turn at the same time until the apex. Downshift, then countersteer and gas it at the same time.
