depends, sometimes I don't even notice...like when I was losing to Bunta (LotS...blocking Bunta with FC isnt fun...), then a buntamobile challenged me to Akina Up Dry...he gets startup, and is ranked 200 (meaning he has the best car, not that he's ranked that) on the course, so im thinking atleast i get to race longer...but i end up beating him...when the screen turns black i see a bunch of reflections, i turn around and see about 10 people who just came in outta nowhere. normally i woulda been really nervous but i didnt even notice em.

Don't really care, unless I win and then they shy away from me b/c they think that i am really good. I go now for battles b/c they are fun. so a crowd can be rewarding to me or not, but overall I dont mind.

i really don't mind having a crowd watching when i play. i used to go during $10 tuesdays at boomers so there was always a crowd of people around the machines. i haven't battled a whole lot in ver. 3 so i do get a bit apprehensive once in a while... after a couple of corners the feeling disappears though happy.gif

I like when they start talking to me while I am in a battle. My opponent gets mad and I play better.

i like small crowds, just enough people to talk/show off to, and not too big where i have to wait forever just to get one game in...

It's always good to have a crowd because in my arcade I'm known as "the Myogi wonder" so everyone that plays there knows me.

Everyone crowds to watch me drive Akina now, it can get kind of annoying because you're trying to beat a record, and they keep laughing or start talking about what their plans are for the weekend REALLY loud. Other than that, I'm fine with it.

heh, people in the background don't phase me at all. they make me play better.

UNLESS, it's one of those stupid annoying kids that climb on the chair and are breathing into your ear, makes me wanna sock one in the face. but i just say "get off" with a real deep voice. shifty2.gif

ahhh..... i kinda like ppl watching me play especially when im battling coz it simply ... gives me the urge to win. and i swear ... if there is a girl watching. HAHAHAHAHA i'll kick my opponent's ass!!!! i've actually done this before but you can say it was a fluke... this guy was a level 16 and i was at my SECOND race with the altezza ... I WON by a hair.... but what the heck . its always fun when ppl like ... clap their hands after a match and even better when the opponent shakes hand and such . I always shake the hands of my opponent's before and after race just to show sportsmanship. (and THIS helps get the crowd's attention!!!!)

If it's a race between two people are reasonably skilled in the game, there's actually a crowd behind the machines since it's placed at the Arcade's front entrance. What happens is that you get people walking by just stop and watch the "intense" races happy.gif

It's scary considering how big the crowd can get in a matter of "seconds" once the race that. It's not even expected. Sometimes, people would look around and see no one then all of a sudden once it hits "3...2...1...GO!!!", the crowd starts building up.

The scariest and biggest crowd that I got with my friend was at Playdium Version 2, Cappuccino [Level 14 aura] vs DC2 [Level 18 Aura] on Akagi Downhill dry. Extremely close battle and I won when he understeered the LAST turn. The screen goes blank and you can see a thick arc of people around the machine. People of ALL ages including people in their 40's to 60's...scary... sweatingbullets.gif

XD that's hilarious...yea that's happened to me too...when the screen goes black you see all kinds of new people you never saw before....or you like hear clapping or "oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" when the race is over..

I always shake the hands of my opponents after the race but I they fish me then it is a different story. I get the same urge to win as u do tezza when there is a big crowd.
