I am just making this so the 2010 thread can finally be unpinned.

I haven't been keeping up, and was just browsing statistics...

Ctiroen finally passed both Lancia and Ford to become the manufacturer with the most WRC wins. And another curious statistic is that out of 146 wins by French drivers ( 2nd most of any country ), 72 are from Loeb himself. awesome.gif

The guy is unreal honestly. Though I wonder if he'd of had the same level of success he's had these last 9 years back during the Group B and A eras when there was a far greater number of high caliber drivers competing.

Would it be better just to make a general WRC/IRC forum?

That's because it's not the WRC, it's the Sebastien Loeb Show.

Loeb is simply an unstoppable beast. I believe he would have been just as competitive if he raced in the Group B era.

He'd certainly be competitive but I just can't see him with 8 consecutive title victories if he were facing names like Sainz, Makinen, Kankkunen and McRae to name a few during their peak years.

An interesting article posted earlier in the year about the current poor state of the sport and its issues in attaining promoters.
