Anybody here has any experience on holding a WMMT3 tourney?

Individual racers on a 4 cab machine and not team battle rules will be very helpful smile.gif

i do one race per map, so a total of six races, then first place gets ten points, second gets six, third gets four, and last gets one point. then just at the end see who has the most amount of points, lmao. well thats how i doit anywyas, works for me! oh i also do boost off and press the red button so no one can interfere...

yes, tournament MUST BE BOOST ON.

you can use point system where winner gets 6pts, 2nd gets 4pts, 3rd gets 2pts and last get 1pt.

you could roll die to choose course...eg 1=C1, 2 = NBL, 3=Wangan, 4=Yoko, 5=Osaka, 6=Hakone

all you can ram/block/smash opponents is a must, everybody's gonna do it in order to win.

If you want a real challenge, you should make it so that if anybody is more than 100m away from the leader to be instantly disqualified....

were also conducting a little tournament so that we could have a bonding sessions later after the race.. we do it like this...

we're conducting the tourney every the 1st saturday of the month and we must gather 16 players so we could have 4 brackets every winner for each bracket will have a semi-finals and the winner of the semi-finals will challenge the champion on the final round...

the champion have the incentive to wait who will be his challenger..

as for the maps every player choose all the maps eg. player 1 choose C1 player 2 choose NBL and so on and forth...

so the computer could chose randomly...

well when T.L.R host our tourny
we did it like this

Rules (General):
Wangan Line is banned from being chosen as the course. You may still access wangan line through new belt lines but you cannot choose wangan line as the primary course.

Rules (1v1):
double elimination (2 losses to be kicked out of the tournament)
boost on or boost off

Rules (multiplayer):
provided we have enough players for a 32 man multiple player.
we will split the bracket of 32 into two groups of 16.
those two groups of 16 will be broken up into 4 groups of 4.

Each group will play 4 rounds with boost on choosing any course. At the end of each round,
1 place - 6 points
2 place - 4 points
3 place - 2 points
4 place - 1 point

the player with the most points from each group will advance to the next group of 4 players.

The top two players from those groups will battle it out for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, 4th place in the tournament.

why would you do that? theres alot of interesting routes you can take from any of the starting points.
ok well except for daikokuhutou ramp =\

Nice info...how about the rule on horsepower?

A player can set the horsepower that he/she is most comfortable for that course? Or all players must be on the same horsepower for that specific course?

because in a tournament, a person will really care about the thoughts of other people..

not to mention players will get turned away if you have to use a specific setting on a specific course in addition to bye bye strategies

lets join a tournament where you can only use 600/HG on every course..
yeah... its gonna be loads of fun

the different setting you can use makes it fun.. how exactly do you plan on setting a specific setting for a course anyways??? how do you plan on getting 100% agreement?

did you ever notice that when you play on stages that arent osaka and change paths they actually go to different stages??

maybe you should just go back to mt2 instead dry.gif

there is no point..it would take out the fun, and entrants would be turned away at restrictions

just because its good HP for TA doesnt mean its good for battle..and even for battles, you have to consider starting ramp, which direction etc.. because even for c1, you battle can end up on the wangan line.. 720 on wangan line doesnt sound too good all of a sudden does it?

essentially, limiting HP is more work and you dont get anything out of it
