Be careful though, because when you hit 88 mph, you'll see some serious shit.

Well the thing is, the vast majority of the people who post on here were born after Back to the Future. At best, some of these people were infants when Parts II and III came out but never saw the movie when it was new, so DeLoreans don't have that same nostalgic impact it has on people who were young in the '80s.

This is interesting. "based on the original prototype"? Does that include a Lotus twin-turbo V8? |

I highly doubt it, as crazy as that sounds. The sticker price is absolutely ridiculous without any power to back it up. Now I know why it's that high, it's to pay off the cost of manufacturing (namely, creating the manufacturing process)... but come on now. Nearly 6k for a car with subpar performance?
With a sticker like that it better damn well have the twin-turbo V8... |

Deloreans being made again?!?!
GREAT SCOTT!!!!! JZX100: No black for you. It needs the stainless steel. If not, it's just not a Delorean IMBHO. Now for me...do that 20B-powered DMC, but with some stickier and wider rubber, on widened repro rims of course. |

Old news is old, but great video was great (save for being the wrong aspect ratio, but nothing MPCHC can't fix). I especially liked the epic BUUUURN at the end.

They also planned a Citroen Rotary for it, but NOOOOOOO, they went with the p.o.s. engine from a Peugeot... EDIT: Wait...Was it a Peugeot? I'm lost. This post has been edited by JZX100 on Feb 25 2009, 11:52 AM |

PRV engine. 2.8l V6, shared with Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo in the 80's. They sound immense. This post has been edited by MattW on Feb 25 2009, 02:46 PM |
