Maybe they're lying..? :|

Maybe not. This could be like when WMMT2 was sent out to a few arcades before it was finished for feedback purposes. Maybe they want player input? Q3 '07? f**k. tongue.gif If possible, it would probably be best for a summer release, they'll make alot more money, especially with the drought that console games go through duing the summer. Btw, editor, will ID4 be released worlwide simultaneously?

If you have been keeping up then you will know that they are trying to make it more realistic. Here are some examples:

-The wheel size is bigger, now closer to the size of a real steering wheel; v3's wheel was not close to the size of a real one

what do you mean by real steering wheel size? hahahaha I mean not ALL steering wheels are the same size. That saturn ion has that big nasty wheel while them aftermarket wheels are smaller happy.gif.

I absolutely love this idea of no new kit. This brings about the oppurtunity to see a brand f**king new machine in an arcade. If you are screwed to get a new machine. You can always drive a few extra minutes and go to a better arcade(I say because that one will be better since they will have it and your arcade doesn't.)

I have no problem driving 90 to go to a better arcade if they so choose to get it. And you can be assured that there will be plenty of initial D money on hand.

Personal IMO and suggestion to my post?

sorry just back to the cards for a bit... some wishful thinking on my behalf but your not able to transfer the cards right?? well der!!! this is a test version why would they allow you to transfer your card to an incomplete version when everything is being finalised.. so hopefully card will be transferable when the offcial version comes out

but i dont realli care either way its a totally new game so its only fair that everyone make a new start with new cards

At least the steering wheels aren't super small like those American-Style racing games.

@editor:can you Pm me and explain this stuff to me

And U should also close this and start a new thread with all the info in it

What's the point of doing that?

Mods and/or the original poster can edit the first post of this thread with all the info...

but it's not like people are going to read the first post anyway. Most people don't even read the first post in ANY pinned thread!

But like I said, I can, however, edit the post for editor unless he does it before me.

So back to the Hawaii thread, Why do they have it, if ID4 is still in testing phase? I don't get it?

im almost 100% sure that we do NOT have ID4 here in hawaii...u know, the internet is a BIG place and anyone can find preview pics of ID4...just because our hawaii thread has posted a picture of the ID4 cabs, doesnt mean the initial picture was taken in hawaii...

and just to point out...if ID4 WAS here, im sure i wouldve heard about it by now...

I LOL'd.

Her name is Kyoko Iwase, and she drives an FD, not an Evo. The "Turbo Levin guy's" name is Wataru.

Just thought I'd make a few corrections rolleyes.gif

i know i'm late replying to this but omg i should be shot-_-.

as a car enthusiast 1st and Initial D enthusiast 2nd i am officially a disgrace and deserve the LOLing. let it continue. ha

in my defense i was driving a black EVO IV and surely i was drinking. but i know theres no excuse for that retardation. and the names i was just too lazy to think of. anyway thanks ha.

Wow. Some of the stuff in here is just... ugh.

Look; it's not the final version. It's not uber-completed (40%? What the hell are you smoking!?). They're TESTING it, it's a BETA. Hell, maybe even an Alpha, from the looks of the cabinet.

Interpreting editor's statement, the ENGLISH (read: International) release date is Q3 2007. Meaning the Japanese version will probably be out sooner than that. Possibly summer 2007, as a few people have said.

I am SO GLAD that they got rid of all that TST and eraser crap. No more h4x for the win.

That said, to whoever asked about downshifting making you slide, it still should. If they've still got brains, they'll know that a sudden downshift will make the car lose its stability. At least, I was hoping that's why that happened in V3. And as such, should still exist in V4.

If somehow I contradicted myself with those last two sections, that's fine. I don't TST, I don't eraser... that I know of. If that's just that thing where you rape the shifter at a corner, yeah, I don't. >.>; But I don't really give names to the moves, either. In any event, you should still be able to break traction by downshifting.

Let's see, what else was there in here... oh yeah. This new hardware is l33t. Network port, DVI output, what looks to me like a digital-optical sound output... it looks just like a really cool computer. ^-^ Probably is. (now that I read the Japanese site, I'm right--it is just a PC...)

Just damn. Thing is really hot. Oh, and the idea of being able to tune your car outside of the arcade cabinet makes me smile a ton. How would they do this, via internet site? Put in your ID#, go to the tuning section and use up your points? If that's it... I'm really happy. >.>;

Just overall, from what I've seen and heard so far, this system looks absolutely wonderful. And in the mean-time, there's plenty of V3 to go around.

Hope they update the cabinet before release, though. The arrow buttons are weak, and the shifter position is pretty low. But seeing as the release date is so far off, I practically expect the design to change. ^-^ So no worries.

Later.

haha, im sure you are. im short for a 13 year old. really short. my friend is 12 and hes 5'9.

back to wheels, bigger wheels will add to the realism but for children who play i.d. would have a hard time lookin at the screen.

Imagine the SE3P...harsh better Overall Car...But then again....the customization has to have longer timing on the machine...only 30-60 sec. is not enough for me...I take like 30 sec. to pick a song..lmao.

130hp isn't really uberly awesome... that was the max hp you could give a Cappo on GT4 so I'm assuming it would be about the same for AS4 if it has a way to improve horsepower..

I would really hate it if ID4 went the horsepower route. That would completely eliminate cars like the capp.

That would also be annoying for NA users like me with the trueno, it would make fishing a whole lot easier too if realistic hp figures were used.

If realistic Hp figures came in...all I can say is...There's gonna be alota more 34's and SE3P's....that would be way 2 weird and possibly difficult? Just Imagine R34 vs. Levin 85...I don't kno but If it was realistic HP...I'd Bet my Money On the 34.

se3ps aren't made to be high horsepower cars in real life, so if they went the horesepower route that car would definitely fall toward the middle end of the pack easy.

They won't ever go HP route simply because the game, manga, and anime, was never really about high horsepower. Moreso about how the car was handled. Basically they'll be stupid as hell(and japanese people aren't stupid so it won't happen) if they made it about the power.

i don't see that happening. most courses are 1 off laps - where do you find the time to change tires, if they do wear off? unsure.gif it'll just slow the game up

Read here for more information - https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=24727 From what I heard, they don't allow any photography at the test play center anymore. ¥200 for each game and ¥300 for a card.
