Yep, you sir are correct. It was kinda cool in V3 when they kinda made LotS kinda like the manga in the essence of, "Hey! This battle took place here, so do it here."

The hardware is different, so UPGRADE IS IMPOSSIBLE! and so are transfers... So, if you're arcade is too cheap to buy a whole new cabinet, then you're screwed.

IDW Expert Member Group: Members Posts: 111 Member No.: 19,435 Joined: Aug 10th 2006 Location: Update Profile | Dear IDW, I am just back from a Sega European distributor event and notice that this forum seems to be going back in circles. I assume that new posters are not prepared to read all the 15 pages and so missing what was already confirmed. Can I just point out that the IC Card system on ID4 works like the World Champion Cup Football system. It can read foil and IC Card and that will be how they transfer - but as of yet the test systems in Japan have not had this feature operational. The LindBergh graphic system is totally different and NO kits will be made available. I have seen on three forums this claim of a kit - I think you will find this is being caused by operators telling players this 'story' to hide the fact they will not pay for the ID4 machine. The International release date is Q3 2007 - and let me shoot down this last point. NO PS3 or XB360 port has been leaked, rumored, hinted or mentioned. The web-zine that broke this story did it to get you guys to read their mag / site and is a fake (they also stole the Stinger information as their own). Face the facts guys, with the PS3 delayed for Europe and rumors of no A+ titles till 2008; with the XB360 running low on any A+ games, all compounded by a sudden launch of HARD CORE arcade releases (ID4, Afterburner Climax, Half Life 2, VF5, Time Crisis 4, Battle Gear 4 Tune, OutRun 2 SP DX, Chase HQ2, War of the Grail, and Guilty Gear 3 etc,) all coming out and the consumer mags are scared that consumers decline will mean the consumer mags death. I have a vested interest in amusement, but I am sick of the lies by the consumer mags to try and ram the last nails in the arcade industry coffin - only finding that the more they bang it in, the more the coffin looks like their own! |

I aprreciate you clarifying on what was truth and what was only being interpreted by some of the members. Also reiterating the point of cards and such was also good since no one can bring it up again, unless they don't read the info. Good job nonetheless. Hope to see more updates soon from you.

That seems wayyy to far away. From what we've seen they already have a good chunk (maybe 30-40%) of the game completed, the latest I see them releasing it is summer 2007. |

We can't complain, though. Making games is such a grueling task, especially if they want to meet the expectations of gamers. uhm is the gameplay still towards arade-feel or they will go for simulation-type (not gt4 like but BG-like) |

If you have been keeping up then you will know that they are trying to make it more realistic. Here are some examples: -The shifter has been moved down a bit, nearer to where a real shifter would be -The wheel size is bigger, now closer to the size of a real steering wheel; v3's wheel was not close to the size of a real one -As seen in the video, start up is very slow. The driver is using an AE86 on Akina UPHILL, versus Kyoko's FD. In real life, of course the AE86 would have a very hard time keeping up with an FD at the start (as seen in the video) -Also seen in the video, you will now lose much more speed on corners that you can full-gas all the way through, and there are aspects -The cars feel much more "grippy" than in previous versions
