and to get down to 939kg, you stripped the NAVI-90 didn't you? I need my GPS haha, it's kind of important later on in the game if you can't pay attention to the course map. There ARE lighter GPS systems later on, the GPS-NAVI and the GPS-Mini.

Yeah, I figured it was dead weight for the time being. That, and my slots are maxed out without it as it is. Also, the ONLY WAY I will be able to squeeze 10PS is probably through the HI-CAM tuning item in Spencer's shop. That, or if I can find that CoroCoro-111 and get what I think was it's 5% Air cleaner. I am running Bay SLS(1kRPM), EXT-95 (I think thats the right exhaust name), Port Polish. I am also running MT, or else I would have more room on Chassis for stuff xD

You can get lighter GPS systems? When I watched the Nico playthrough the guy went without the GPS the whole game but he may have played it several times because he could handbrake turn without hitting the wall on the early courses.

I got the hang of the physics and could no hit turns if I timed it right xD

Oh, and buying the HiComp+1 worked. My power with the 5% air cleaner went to 199.1PS xD

EmeraldFlow. Air filters get grossly outdated by around the 3rd to 5th night.

Debating if I should completely switch to the 3S-G engine from the Celica. Unless that was the crappy engine =\

Also, I am sad. I completely missed my chance to get Carbon GT Aero which I actually liked. Even though Old Aero is nice, I sorta liked the N1 look on the Levin.

If it's 3S-F, don't bother. 3S-GE (or even CA18 DET) will hold you until you get the RB26. Read up on the tips I made a few posts back, you're probably at the point where you can get turbos.

If it's not the Celine S3 don't bother. Don't bother with store-bought chassis, steal them off of cars. Wagon660-4 is what you want, but keep in mind your top speed goes down, and bodykits change in appearance dramatically.

Yeah, I noticed that on that bright yellow MRTrueno. Also, which are better, C-Diets or B-Diets?

If you have the slots, BOTH. C-diet takes up chassis slots, B-diet takes up body slots.

C-diet ranges from 10-50, B-diet is 10-40. So if you wanted to waste the slots using all of them, you can get rid of 250kg.

Okay, I looked all around Yokohama on the second night and the Beetle didn't show. I have the feeling I may have to start over ;_; Either that or I'll stick with my crappy 1J until the third night.

You could get the 3S-GE Celine engine on night two. I found one on a red Celica during my roaming of Night Two before I restarted (third time) for the Carbon-GT Aero.

I tried looking for the Celica but I couldn't find it. I was going to do the climax race but I lost.

EDIT: Through, um, unorthodox means I got the G4A-111 engine. All set now

And holy crap, it is good. High revving and the pickup is great. And the sound is godly. I beat a 187 HP Civic on Main Street with it.

Question regarding Tsujimoto though: Can you challenge him as many times as you want and take parts besides the Venus & Mars off him and then take the Venus & Mars? I noticed taking them and then trying to challenge him again makes him say something along the lines of "My twin turbo is gone, I can't race you now".

Also what does the SlipTire do? I saw a video of it and it seems like it causes your car to lose traction more or something.

Oh, and...Someone made a TV Tropes page on the game. Very cool. I contributed something to the No Export For You part that may or may not be true...Digital Press listed the game under "Rumor Mill" for Playstation in their collector's guide which seems to imply this was coming out in the US at some point but never happened.

I think the Story NPCs will let you race them once only (Tsujimoto, Yamada and Yuki). Also, it should be ONE of the red cars roaming in night two. Here is my setup at the end of Night 1

Geez...you have more parts than what I was able to find. I couldn't get PortPolish or that ECU first night.

You can get that ECU, it's called Autobahn. It's at the under 200ps class at Spencer's Test Course. 5 laps and it's yours.

and you can only challenge Tsujimoto once, and it's worth it just for the Venus&Mars (I took his other turbo, Double Impact [big mistake], and couldn't race him again). Besides, at that point in the game, the RB26DETT is available in an R32 GT-R (32typeR), which WILL carry you through the rest of the game since the 4A-G doesn't cut it after that. If you have the patience to find a sky blue 180SX in North Yokohama with HiCam L -1, combine V&M, DRAG-ECU/Autobahn, and LoComp -1, and it's an EASY 665HP.

SlipTire is garbage, all it does is screw with the physics more by extending slides, which doesn't help if you're trying to feint into another corner.

Cool. I was able to pass the Integra on 1st Night's climax race easily once I leveled up the engine and got the HiComp. I'll be sure to get the Suicide and LoComp -1 when I can and then get the RB26 and V&M.

...is there a difference between the Celine S3's engine and Celine S2's G-3S engine? How much HP does the S3's engine have.

Trying to figure out a winning combination for the Drag Competition.

Did I ever mention the music in the game is great? I love South Yokohama's theme and the highway music is awesome too. It sucks that the South Yokohama music changes eventually though.

I forget the breakdown, but I know that there's the weak 3S at 140HP, and the G3-S Celine/SW2 at 200HP. I think the S3 is the variant of a character's car...

And if you're trying to do UOR's for drag, run what you brought. Typically, light weight and no ECU with a boatload of turbos helps out. If it's the race when you first get into North Yokohama, it should be an easy win. If you're racing Kawasaki, you will NOT win, he's a fast as hell single gear that will run the 400m in under 9 seconds. You can kick his ass easily later on.

I have about 180 or so HP now. I'm going to level up the 4A-G and install the BoreUp part and then I'll enter the UOR for the Autobahn.

Also, my bad about the car with the engine. It was actually black >.<!

ATM I need to plan out my attacks carefully, since I don't have that much time in the game to battle most of the NPCs that move to the parking area on night 2

That's the one. You're set until the night after you can challenge Tsujimoto, that's when the RB26 comes out I think.
