Good deals come up every now and then. This guy was trying to sell his GTS for half-a-year or so before someone bought it for ~$800. http://s623.photobucket.com/albums/tt316/leebizz/ If you're interested, I could let you know when another one pops up. |

It doesn't look to be in too great of shape and I personally would not depend on any 1985 car as a daily. Believe me, I tried that '84 Prelude as a daily and it was a terrible decision. For $1000 you can get something much newer and more reliable. But, if character is what you want, then go for it. |

It never hurts to ask. It's your money. Do what you please with it. As for SR5 being a bad idea. If you know of a place where GT-S's grow on trees and are cheap please tell us. What matters is saving these cars from being rarer and rarer. Making it harder and harder to find decent used parts. Plus these cars were made when SR5 still meant something. I'm proud to own one. If you're looking for a daily, get a used ford focus, not a quarter century old shitbox.

caek is a LIE! Old Toyota with a SOHC engine. Well worth a grand if it's in shape. But if it requires a months work before you can rely on it - pass. All in all, not a bad choice for a daily driver, rwd with low mpg. *edit* Ooo a Focus is a joy, never knew FF car could be so fun. 4-wheel drifts with a stock Focus aren't a joke if the suspension's still up to it. But it's still only fwd. That's why I still drive a 20-year old car(well that and money) This post has been edited by RDvil on Jan 25 2010, 10:17 AM

With Dorui, you'll learn to realize he's a total prat. I have a sense of humour, just not towards something as stupid as this. The Auto section isn't supposed to be crawling in wanna be weaboos(Dori) posting stupid shit like that. Can I suggest a single thread for all future CL ads, instead of individual shit like this?

What pisses me off more is people using outdated terms already. Not to Matt, just the term itself. This post has been edited by JZX100 on Jan 25 2010, 11:36 AM

Just remember what Initial D said about the SOHC "Hachi-Go", because Initial D taught me every single thing I know about cars, along with Fast and the Furious. Don't blow the welds on your intake, yo. Because if you nawz too much in your sweet cojack-smokin' Hachi-Go, the floorboards will fall out and Dominic and the Mad Scientists will have to rip apart the block to replace the piston rings you fried.
