I'll say it clearly... The first mix is good but the others are... awful. Sorry. The effects are not necessary by the way and you used Adobe Audition by the way..... I'll make my version of it later. EDIT My version : http://download.yousendit.com/739D281D11B5A6D8 1. Ring Of Fire 2. Disco Fire 3. Midnight Love 4. Lucky Man |

Yeah your version is great. Good thing that you left eurohero out shouldn't have put it in the first place... By the way I used Nero Wave Editor. Thanks for your comment |

Hey all. I've got a couple of remixes I've made and would love to have some feedback (I can't really find Eurobeat fans anywhere else v_v). I just want to know if this is where I would post the link from megaupload or somewhere esle? (I don't want to get into trouble) Thanks in advance! *UPDATE* I've decided to save people from looking all over this thread for the remixes, so I've put them all in the first post. ********************************************************************** Make Up Your Mind (Ultimate Decision Remix)- http://www.zshare.net/SGAO5PS5 Make Up Your Mind (Hyper Final Remix)- http://www.zshare.net/6G2HULV2 Forever Young (Ultimate Forever Remix) - http://www.zshare.net/9EMA7G69 Right Now (Wasting My Time Remix) - http://www.zshare.net/HDMRE8BP Go Go Money (Saturday Night Remix) - http://www.zshare.net/KR72X62N Neo Vs Dave - Wheels Of Disco Fire - http://www.zshare.net/5K1RNABX Kevin Vs. Downloaded the "make up your mind" remix; absolutely enjoyed it! Nice transition, simple but very effective! |

I'm glad you guys like them! Like I said, I've got more that I've been working on so I might post some more later on. Oh yeah, that transition in "Make Up Your Mind" is awesome but took little while to get it right (timing and all v_v). Anyway, thanks for the feedback! |

Coo mixes. Although I think you could do more with Forever Young, perhaps throwing in some more non-stop mix ver.('s?) in there. I like how you mixed Wain L and D.R. together. Anything that makes SEB songs last longer in a single go is always a plus! |
Posted by: awdrifter Feb 16 2007, 04:18 PM |
Wow, what is done in Make Up Your Mind, is that really Dave Rodgers' singing? Anyways, nice mix. |

I don't think it works well as a single since it's made from the non-stop versions. However, as an extended non-stop mix ver., you did quite well. I also like that faded out "Takumi" at the very end; nice touch. |

Thanks Manix! If one person liked it, I'm satisfied ! I can't wait until the real single version comes out though! |

Excellent. Pure genius. My car will love a longer version of "Takumi". Very nice oneofakind2k6!! I like how you transitioned both mixes and the fade at the end...nice touch. |

Well, I though it was impossible but I was able to make this FINAL Make up your mind remix. I think it turned out well (could be better but I'm limited on my abilities still ) Anyways, as always, Enjoy! Wain L & Dave Rodgers - Make Up Your Mind (Hyper FINAL Remix): *Links On First Post* |

oneofakind2k6, Won't you think when you make a transition from 'SUPER EUROBEAT presents Initial D NON-STOP MIX from Takumi Selection' till the '23.Takumi of Speed Style-Speed Side',the bpm is not match before. Since the lyric 'you put the fire on me',the bpm become somethong difference with before. |
Posted by: BlastorBlade Feb 26 2007, 03:59 AM
Surely you jest? It's obvious from the start...the Hyper Final Remix contains elements from the Takumi Non-Stop version of Make Up Your Mind, hence the nice meshing between Wain L's and Dave Rodgers' voices at about 1:37, not to mention the raised BPM at the start of the song. The Ultimate Decision Duet Mix pre-dates the release of this to the unpaying masses, and doesn't contain it (not to mention it is 1:17 longer...) Thanks oneofakind2k6, I enjoyed both versions, although I thought you may have experimented more with mixing Dave and Wain L's versions in the Hyper Final Remix, perhaps by speeding up Dave's version (maybe making a long version of the Takumi non-stop version...although I'd hazard a guess that a full version of Dave vs Wain L might come out sometime this year...perhaps on the Best of SEB 2007. Here's hoping, at least!) Thanks again! |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Feb 26 2007, 04:15 AM
Yeah, I understood that from the beginning. I tried my hardest to fix that up as much as I could but it couldn't be fixed all the way. It's kinda hard when working with a 320 Kbps song and a 128 kbps song Also take in consideration the fact that when mixing a song, the idea is to try to get a good long song instead of trying to get something short and fast. While the difference is quite obvious in that section, the rest of the song makes up for itself in the end. You are right, shunjenny, the kbps are different and that does make it a lot more difficult mixing tracks. Thank you for your input
BlastorBlade hit the nail right on the head. I went back and sped up the original "Make Up Your Mind" to match the "Takumi Non-Stop Mega Mix" version of MUYM. Then, when the tracks crossfade into Dave's part, I did speed up Dave's part a little (he has a tendency to sound very high pitched when sped up too fast ) So, overall changes: 1.) Sped up (Hence HYPER MIX) 2.) Blending of Takumi Mix w/ Original 3.) Dave's Part Sped up slightly. I tried to mix more of Wain L in w/ the Dave Rodger's part but technology won't allow it (at least from what I've tried). When attempting to mix the two, the problem I have is that I can't seem to get the background music out of Wain L's part and just leave the vocals . I can, however (as seen with this song), match the proper beats and times together in an attempt to blend the songs well. Anyway, I hope that clears somethings up. I'm glad you liked them BlastorBlade, and hopefully I'll bring everyone some more (and better) remixes. Thank you again, Shunjenny, for your input |

On Hyper Mix: Again, great mix, I enjoyed it. I may have to give remixing a try sometime thanks to you and your work. Of course, I'd also have to credit Lebon14 for his influence as well. Hey! You two should try a collaboration project! |

Thanks, Manix! That would be awesome, to make a fan-made collaboration of remixes! I would definetly love to contribute to that . If you got time, Manix, I'd like to hear one of your remixes |

Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Feb 26 2007, 05:09 PM
I really like this mix, Kettu I thought you made some great transitions in there and I was really impressed with the beginning. My only concern with this mix was the transition between "Takumi" and "Lucky Man" and the ending. Though it was a good transition, when making a mix you want to find similar beat patterns in the songs or find a break where you can place the next song at. At the beginning, you did that very well with the first three songs, yet when takumi ended you let it fade out (which was good) but in the middle of the mix you had another song fade in. It kinda takes away from the mix when you have a silence introduced. My suggestion is to fade out Takumi and start Lucky Man at the "Get it on" part. The only thing with the ending was it just stopped, my suggestion would of been to mix in the ending of Lucky Man in at the end of the selection, allowing the song to have a fade out ending. Other than that, I also loved what you did with takumi with the echo, that was sweet! Other than, like I said, this is an awesome mix IMHO. Keep it up and keep experimenting with it P.S. - I'm happy that you enjoy the Forever Young Mix!!!
Glad you like it Tessou! And I just want to say a big.... THANK YOU To all you guys for your feed back and downloads of these remixes. I have a combined total of over 200 downloads of the remixes I've made (that's a lot to me) and it really means a lot . Again, To all of you! Long live Eurobeat! |
Posted by: shunjenny Feb 27 2007, 08:41 PM |
oneofakind2k6, I think that the Bitrate difference exists is not a problem, you can unite the Bitrate all to be 128Kbps,and also I think you don't need to set the Bitrate of your remix as 320Kbps.Because it'll be too large size for us,and 128Kbps-192Kbps is not much difference compare with 320Kbps. Try to unite the BPM between the songs by MixMeister Pro 6 or Goldwave,Bitrate will not affect changing the BPM.And after united the BPM,you should also make the volume similar that it will listen pretty good and no more difference, more fluency! |
Posted by: Kettu Feb 27 2007, 10:27 PM |
Well one thing is that when you have any mp3 file and you re-encode it to mp3(128->192) the quality goes a lot worse. A 192kbps copy might sound worse than the original 128kbps. So the least you could do is to use 320kbps. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Feb 28 2007, 04:19 AM |
Shunjenny, your point has been taken !!! Taken so much, that I've went back and decided to make a new mix. I went back and converted the two "Takumi" tracks I used to wave again and converted them back to 128 kbps (so the file won't be so big like you said ) Hopefully, this will be a lot better (which I believe it is). Enjoy |

Oh boy oh boy! The only thing better than getting a new album is a new remix. Can't wait to hear these new ones! I'll edit later. Edit: Right Now: I was surprised that not much was changed here. It's basically an (Extended Version)^2 [Extended Version of the Extended Version], however, I personally can't get enough of this song so that's welcome. Go Go Money: Friday Night Ver. - Extended Ver. is my take on it, but I love the way you spiced it up with the Non-Stop cuts in there; it kept it fresh and enjoyable. I'd share my thoughts for other songs to remix, but I'm gonna give those a crack first since your ver. might sound better. Just don't hold your breath for my releases. Edit 2: Like the new remix, sounds great. It actually seems to me like you're improving. I think the next step would be to try and mix back and forth between the songs you mix. For example, in the Neo v. Dave mix, you could mix from Disco to Wheels back to Disco fade to Wheels, etc. (Not to be taken literally for that mix pattern but as an example). Keep up the Euro-Beat! |

oneofakind2k6,I want to know more about:how do you make BPM similar and would you have a excellent DJ software for mixing BPM to be exactly the same(EQUAL TO EACH OTHER like the same song)? Is it possible? p.s. I recommend you using a final version to include all advantages you think in the remix. It's best for everyone. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 6 2007, 07:56 PM |
ShunJenny, To answer your question: yes it is possible. One way to make files the same BPM is if you save the ORIGINAL files in WAVE format. Wave files tend to be a lot easier to mix and allow the remixer to mix songs a lot better and fluently. Saving files as MP3, however, is more difficult, due to the fact that once you save it as an MP3 it will remain be an MP3. In short, Wave is a lot more loose and MP3 is more permanent. As far as fancy DJ software goes, a GoldWave audio program should do you just well. and for the final version that's best for everyone, well I've made a final one - Takumi - (HYPER FINAL REMIX) http://www.zshare.net/G8DJHXB5 thanks for the feedback P.S. - When are you going to post some of your remixes up for all us to hear? I know I can't wait to hear them |
Posted by: Manix Mar 7 2007, 02:53 PM
More Takumi Remix. I quess your album wasn't enough, lol. Edit: This was indeed a good mix. I like "Hyper" things and this was quite an appropriate Hyper Takumi. And I'm glad to hear that you're on to other projects. I may up my remix schedule by just mixing on my comp rather than a DJ mix-style I was planning. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 7 2007, 03:04 PM |
Nope, that's the final one Manix! No more after that one. I've moved on to other projects , I'm not going to have street fighter-itus (where you make something and just keep releasing updates). THIS IS THE FINAL MIX OF THIS SONG BY ME. I would love to hear other people's remixes of this song if they make them, but I'm not making another one of this song. It's a great song, and hopefully Eurobeat decides to release the full song soon. Until then, thank you all for your downloads of my remixes, and I hope that you enjoy the final remix and all my other remixes |

Shunjenny, I've downloaded your remix and allow me to be frank.... That was freaking awesome I loved how you mixed in the sections from the show and then mixed in the track, a very nice touch. I also love how you were able to mix the different parts of the songs in together with one another towards the end! That's something I want to do, but I just haven't figured it out yet I know you don't need my approval, but I believe this a great remix. I can't wait to hear more from ya |

Another Non-Stop mix Takumi will be coming out on Wed. in the Euro 100. What will you do? |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 11 2007, 06:46 PM
Unless someone request a remix, I'm not doing anything . I'm a man of my word, I'm not making any more Takumi Remixes on my own. Personally, I think it's getting a little old that Super Eurobeat just keeps releasing Non-Stop Mixes of the song . They seriously need to release the Single. Like I said though, if anyone wants a remix, just let me know and I'll make one, but I'm not going to make one just for the heck of it. Well, I'm glad a you guys liked the new remixes . I've been working on a Neo and Dave Rodgers non-stop selection but it's a work in progress. Anyway, I decided to put some of the progress up in a new mix. I give you... Neo Vs Dave - WHEELS OF DISCO FIRE I hope you all like! I've edited this thread and placed all the links at the first post (along with my past remixes). As always, Enjoy ! |

It's ready. Hope you like it, because I spent way too much time making it. Neo - Takumi (High On Helium Remix) |
Posted by: Manix Mar 15 2007, 06:32 PM |
On the one hand, remixing Takumi is getting old. On the other hand, you did something more original with your remix. So, let's give it a go. I thought that given the title the whole song was going to sound "high on helium," and thankfully I was wrong. I liked the way you intermixed the high pitches with the normal pitches and didn't have any one pitch for too long; ever changing. I'm not personally fond of "disjointed" and thus non-linear remixes, but something about yours is more enjoyable than most. If I wanted to be really picky I'd say that the mixes could have been a little smoother, but granted I wouldn't be able to do a better job than you did even if I tried. Kudos. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 15 2007, 07:58 PM |
Kettu, I've got to hand it to you, this was a mix of originality and awesomeness altogether! I agree with manix, remixing takumi is getting old, but you showed that you can still have fun with it, and to me that is what remixing is all about! I love the transitions you had in this mix and it was just a flat out fun remix. I honestly thought when I saw "Helium", I thought about like an Alvin and The Chipmunks cover. LMAO...hmm..wait a sec...an idea for a stupid remix *opens up goldwave...* Awesome job, Kettu P.S. - Between You, Shunjenny, Manix, and Me we should collaborate on something |

WORLD EXCLUSIVE!!! ALVIN CHIPMUNK'S MIX OF TAKUMI RELEASED! Down on his luck and being out of a job since the 80s, Alvin Chipmunk Seville was being viewed as a has-been. Simon went on to win the Noble Peace Prize and Theodore went on to become a World Class Chef and since dave retired from the music busniess, Alvin had lost all hope until one day he was surfing the net. He came across a new Genre of music that wasn't known to many Americans, but only to a select few. What Genre you ask? Eurobeat He flew to Italy with what little money he had left and made an effort to attempt his career in this new genre, not only with hopes of reviving his already dead career but in attempt to bring something new to American audiences. As he arrived at the Eurobeat recording studios, he happened to run into none other than "Mr. Go Go Money" himself, Neo. Neo, being a big fan of Alvin and his work, was thrilled to see him. After Alvin explained his situation to Neo, Neo thought long and hard. "Well, Alvin," Said Neo "In this business, it all about tasting the lucky man and being the king of fruity power. In other words, my advice is if you weren't born for burning I suggest you find something else. Your brothers found something outside of music, and so should you." Alvin, figuring Neo would say something like that, took off his hat and held it close to his chest "Well Neo...thanks for your advice but..." and in split second Alvin pulled out a cloth doused in ether from his hat and held it over Neo's face! "You see Neo, I'm tired of being back on the rocks, I'm gonna be number one and take me to the top. I'm going to jump up the nations and become their Eurohero. Sweet dreams , Neo". After placing Neo in a janitor closet, Alvin went into the studio and found a copy of what Neo had been working on. "Ta-ku-mi? Takoomi? Wait....Takumi! Well what in the world is a Takumi? I guess I'll find out." Alvin sat in the studio and listen to what Neo had begun working on. "Hmm...I like the lyrics but the beat is weird. I know, I'll just work these synths out and I'll make it sound better!" About an hour later, Neo came to and called for security. When the entered the studio, Alvin had just finished the final touches to his mix of "Takumi". After being caught by security, Alvin screamed "YOU'LL THANK ME FOR THIS NEO!!! I JUST SAVED YOUR CAREER!" When Neo went back into the studio, he listened to Alvin's mix of Takumi. "Damn...he did make it sound better...but he sucks at the synths. I'll just clean this up and tweak it and make it smoother. Then I'll hold out on the single and just release nothing but non-stop mixes of the song and make the fans wait....very clever indeed." After the incident, no one ever heard the copy of "Takumi" Alvin made, but yet Neo took all the credit for it. Well now, for the first time ever, IDWF has got the exclusive copy of "TAKUMI" done by Alvin! You won't find this mix anywhere else, people! So hurry and get your copy NOW! The truth must be heard...and you can only find it hear on IDWF! Alvin - Takumi - http://www.zshare.net/LVV9K14M |

Wow, that is a great story. The remix you made is quite funny as well, but honestly it's not good for much else. I won't be driving to that anytime soon, but I will probably bug the hell out of my roommate with it! Actually, for that pleasure, I give this remix my recommendation.
Don't forget Lebon14, too. I think he has the most experience mixing of all of us. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 16 2007, 03:12 AM |
Yeah, that remix is under no circumstance to be taken seriously, it's all for good humor ! I just thought the story would go perfecty with such an awful remix lmao. Crap, I didn't mean to forget Lebon14 We all should definetly try to work on something together. Together, I know our creative minds come up with something |
Posted by: Kettu Mar 16 2007, 07:04 AM |
What did you had in mind oneofakind2k6? I think that a megamix would be better than that we all work on a one song. P.S. Alvin - Takumi really made me smile |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 16 2007, 10:10 AM |
A mega mix would be awesome! I also was thinking that we all could make a remix album with our different remixes on there, something all of us could contribute. Nothing really big, probably like 7 - 10 songs, and maybe a little non-stop mix of all the songs. I think this would be a great way for not only us but for others on IDWF to see the different remixing talent we all have, since we all have different styles of mixing. A great way for us to expand and make good music ! That's my suggestion, but I'm open to any others! P.S. I'm glad that you like the Alvin mix...I'm sure Alvin appreciates it too |

New mix is up. More to come. This second mix actually uses a mix I made as a stand alone for No One Sleep In Tokyo. However, I wasn't satisfied with the the mix until I combined it with my Mikado mix. Somehow that made it sound "better" to me. I liked the openner I made for that mix though so I posted it up too as a bonus. I'm excited for my next project though; it's one of my absolute favorie songs. Edit: My newest mixes are now up. I like how these turned out. I wanted to make a "special effect" ver. of the the Go To The Beat Mix but nothing sounded very good to me. Perhaps one day I'll find something that works. And now I begin my next project! But what to do... |
Posted by: Tessou Mar 17 2007, 02:19 PM |
You know a kickass remix I've been thinking of but lack the mixing tools for? Kevin Johnson's You Light My Fire and Norma Sheffield's Maybe Tonite since those songs have virtually the same melodies. Anyone up for the challenge? |
Posted by: Manix Mar 19 2007, 01:32 AM
Perhaps...there isn't much to work with as far as You Light My Fire goes, but there are several ver. of Maybe Tonite. I'll get back to you on that... *One more thing* 100th POST! Edit: This is really only half-done as most of the transitions are crude at best, but I present my first rendition of: Maybe You Light My Fire Tonite |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 19 2007, 09:35 AM |
I haven't been ignoring that request Tessou, I've been working on something too. Just had to study for a big Zoology test this week , but I've got something coming along should be up soon *EDIT* Two mixes of You Light My Fire and Maybe Tonite are up. The first one is a mix between the two songs going back and forth (Kevin, then Norma). The Second mix is a traditional transition mix with both songs in the full forms (Norma then Kevin). Enjoy Manix, you've really outdone yourself! I love the Eurobeat remixes! good work my friend! |
Posted by: Manix Mar 22 2007, 01:14 AM
Well, I found a mix of SFX that satisfied me and now you all can enjoy it too. I've also released my latest project, "Super Bomba Power Striker," mixing three great Go 2 songs together into one long mix . I may go back and make remixes for the individual songs in the same fashion as my Mikado and Eurobeat mixes...but I'll wait and see what you all have to say about that . Enjoy! |

Maybe you'll light my fire remixes are up! Enjoy! I was looking through my files and found a Dave Rodger's mini mix I had made a little while ago, so I decided to put up there for now. I plan on working on it some more and maybe making it longer. Hope you all enjoy it! As always the links are in the first post *Dave Rodgers Mini Mix Track List* 1.) Deja Vu (New Generation Remix) 2.) Kingdom Of Rock (Extended Mix) 3.) The Final Countdown 4.) Ale Japan 5.) Lucky Man 6.) Eldorado 7.) Wild Reputation 8.) Make Up Your Mind 2k7 |

Longer!?! That was really long! But enjoyable. I should get to work on my next remix soon. You know, I wonder if we should have our remix threads pinned or create a single pinned thread dedicated to remixes that all the forum members have made?(Like yours, mine, Lebon14's megamixes, etc.) And if Smiley reads this: What do you think too? |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Mar 28 2007, 02:10 AM |
I had mentioned that idea in the the Suggestion thread but no one ever got back to me on that . I think that it would be really nice to have a remix thread, because it will allow people to find our remixes a lot easier and all. If we can get a thread that will be awesome, but if it would be too much work I can continue with this . As far as the Rodgers mix goes, I just want to make a non-stop mix that's really enjoyable. I'm working on a simliar mix with Mega NRG Man as well . Then again, I just might release a volume II mini mix, that way people don't have to d/l such a huge file. We shall see |

I really like the concept behind this mix and your selection of clips used, however, the transitions were...well the wasn't any. It sounds essentially like a "cut and paste" mix. I can understand if this is your first mix, but try to blend the music a little more rather than directly cutting into the next clip. Your mix will sound much better and flow rather than jar the listener. Keep working on your style though; I'd love to hear more of it.
Alright, another mix from oneofakind! Will it be longer/better than vol. 1? We shall see... Edit: Yep, good mix. I'm still working on doing a similar transition style where you hear the next song/parts of one song while the other is still playing. *envious* I especially want to integrate that style for the "Maybe You Light My Fire Tonite" mix that I have yet to re-remix. My Spring Break ends today so I can get back to the mixing and my new headphones should help quality control. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Apr 1 2007, 10:25 AM |
I'm glad that you like the mix Manix! Yeah, mixing the parts of one song with another isn't as simple as it sounds, but I'm still learning along the way . I can't wait to hear the re-remix of "Maybe You Light My Fire Tonite". I've almost got the Mega NRG Man mix finished up, just a little bit of tweaks here and there, it should be up by the end of the week! You've already had your Spring Break ! Mine is coming up starting this Friday! I can't wait!!! Means more time for remixing |

Good move to pin this baby, Smiley. Suggestion: All of GO2's songs in one mix, including Play Loud from the non-stop megamix. That would be awesome. Only problem I could see is... how the hell would Music Come On!! fit in? |

I made these 2 weeks ago. They only use three of Go 2's songs, but it's not bad if I do say so myself. I'll be mixing some more Go 2 and I may do something along your request if I can transition well. |

I'm sorry to say, I don't really see that happening. A lot of people download my mixes from there and I'm not about to just stop using that site. However, I will start adding a sendspace link to my posts. That way if anyone can't access the megaupload link, they have a back up. I will post the links up ASAP. Thank you for your feedback and hopefully this helps out . I have finished my first new mix for the pinned thread. Bomba Power (New Super Euro Generation Remix) It's a mix of the two new Go 2 remixes from SEB 176. I couldn't do too much to it since they are so perect already, but now they are one great mix! Let me know what you think. |

Maybe it will become a superb remix song, mate. I like to try remix it, but my PC condition not allowing me to do it . This is my opinion, maybe other member's also have a good idea what song should be try to remix . |

Alright, per request I've made a One Touch remix! This song had a pretty good dance beat so I decided to make an extended dance mix. Nothing really fancy, sort of reminds me of the "That's Eurobeat" era...just great beats and words and really long! I hope that you all enjoy ! One Touch (Extended Dance Mix) megaupload - http://www.zshare.net/JKHMMW06 sendspace - http://www.zshare.net/file/ep4f1e *EDIT* LOL more flare It sounds better faster, I think you get the full effect of the mix. Nice job, you transitioned it well. Though it feels like it's missing something... Edit: One Touch (Hyper Dance Studio Remix) Same mix, now with more "flare." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: Apparently a new rule on the forums wouldn't allow me to make another post right after my own in the same thread, so I'm editing my post to present this:

That's just because the program is new. I haven't learned all the tricks in it yet, the volume change was a minor error. |

I just got done listening to your non-stop mix Lebon14 and I must say that I was really impressed ! The transitions between all the songs we're superb and this was definetly a non-stop mix that never lost it's kick. I also like the opening voice for the album as well, it reminded me of Animal Crossing All in All, I just can't stop listening to this mix!!! Excellent job *EDIT* To show that I haven't been a lazy bum I've made a new mix of Eurofunk's "Stop To Give Up". I really like this song because I think it is actually a nice dance/club like song with a good beat and lyrics. It's an extended dance mix and I hope that you all enjoy Stop To Give Up (Super Extended Mix) sendspace - http://www.zshare.net/file/pvoyls megaupload - http://www.zshare.net/Q0F7OQN0 |

Not bad so far (I am listening to it now), a bit of a bad choice to start with a song that already starts with a voice-over though. In some cases there is like no transitions... Like it just cuts off... Doesn't really flow there (for instance song #8 to #9). My Comments:
|
Posted by: Lebon14 Apr 8 2007, 03:58 PM
Well... Some songs are VERY TOUGH to mix. Futureland, Go Racin' Go & Rocking Hardcore are of those (Later, you will discover Once Upon A Time). I'm always making my best for those. For the song choice, most of them were chosen from this thread in Euro-Prime forum. 3 of them were my choices and the 4 others were there to fill up my objective 30 tracks (that I chose lol) P.S : You are the only one that gave a bad impression yet, that's a fun breaking comment... |
Posted by: BOZZ Apr 8 2007, 04:01 PM |
I guess I am just expecting something of a higher quality, something akin to that one other guy's amateur eurobeat mix (the pimp or something, ditz maybe?). |
Posted by: Manix Apr 8 2007, 05:13 PM
Man, you raised the bar on that mix. It just so happens I've been working on a mix using this song too, , although it's part of a larger mix. I might finish it tonight, but don't hold you breath. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been listening to this mix and it's somewhat like BOZZ said, but I think you did an alright job. It's a lot harder to mix by request rather than what you want to put together. Some of your transitions though were great and others were dropped off; your flow was fine. I've noticed that Avex's mixes aren't always smooth transitions between songs and they use different SFX and "scratching" methods to transition. So my expectations are only as high as what comes from the official source. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Apr 10 2007, 11:23 AM |
I'm glad that you liked the "Stop to give up" mix Manix! Well, after listening to Lebon14's non stop mixes, I've decided to take a crack at one. As always, I want to know what you all think so far of the product. So I give you a special 12 minute sample of the non-stop mix. It contains 4 songs so far but there are many more going to be added to the mix. Hope you enjoy the sample and come back for the FULL version soon Non Stop Mix Sample http://www.zshare.net/HF2TE7VK |
Posted by: Manix Apr 10 2007, 11:19 PM
To be honest, it didn't really sway me any particular way. I didn't think it was bad, but I didn't think it was great either. I think you need to transition the songs a little better. Although, I don't really like my own transitions that I got going now, but that may be becasue I'm trying a new style. I'll let you guys decide how the transitions are. It would have been ready the other night had my computer not crashed while saving TWICE! Let's hope I can finish it tonight. Should be about an hour long, but not longer than CD length. Finally: I may have another mix to be aired exclusive this week on my radio show! Now if I can just get started on that... :blink Edit:My new mix is finished but I'm gonna have to run it by my beta tester first - something about it doesn't seem quite ready. Maybe later today/tonight... I'll feel better if I start something fresh... Edit 2:Alright, I'm done with this mix. It starts out good. Hope you enjoy it. STOP, The Mega-Mix |

Go 2 - Looka Bomba (New Generation Remix) 4. Neo - Go Go Money (B4 Za Beat Remix) I'm downloading your megamix right now Lebon14. I'll add some comments after I have listened to it. Btw Manix, thanks for the Go 2 goodness! |

Glad you liked it. Check out my Stop megamix. I need some feedback on that one too. But I have to ask: What happened with Speedy Mini-Mix Vol. 1-4? Or are you continuing off of the other mixes by oneofakind and myself? |
Posted by: Tessou Apr 16 2007, 03:23 PM |
Listened to the Maybe You'll Light My Fire mix, and it's nothing like I had envisioned. I'll see what I can do to mix my own version. |
Posted by: BOZZ Apr 16 2007, 03:39 PM |
Just curious, but how do you guys do these remixes? I'm interested in learning how to do it. |
Posted by: Manix Apr 16 2007, 04:07 PM
You pretty much download a free music editing program (or buy one), encode the music you want to mix to .wav, and mess around. I highlight section of songs I want to use, paste where I think it blends (or transition), layer effects and voila! But it definitely takes some patience in my experience. I've spent close to an hour before re-listening to a 10-sec clip of music until I got it to blend at least close to what I wanted it to sound like. I use the trial of WavePad, but you could use anything from that, to Nero Wave Editor, to ProTools (professional stuff). |
Posted by: BOZZ Apr 16 2007, 04:09 PM
So there is no specific method to follow with regards to the BPM for each song? |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Apr 16 2007, 04:14 PM
Not really a method, but a good ear for mixing. The BPM can be very tricky but you just have to listen to the songs you will mix and just try to match it from there. I personally use GoldWave Editor and it has done a lot of wonders for me and there are still draw backs as well (i.e. some transitions just don't sound well). It's like Manix says, mixing takes a lot of time and patiences. I'm currently working on a mix right now and it's taking forever because I'm trying to figure out how to mix the songs and transitions together. Transitions are what play the key roles in remixing. The less noticeable your transitions are in a mix, the better. To sum up, if the song can flow well then you did a good mix . Tessou, I'm sorry you didn't like the mix . I tried and all, but I can't wait to hear your mix |
Posted by: Kettu Apr 17 2007, 04:35 AM
Nah, I just named it vol. 5 because 5 is me lucky number. |
Posted by: Manix Apr 17 2007, 04:24 PM
OIC. I listened to it and I thought it was good. Your ending was better than your last mix and liked how your transitions mixed. Although, I think it could still use some pollishing up. Some of the blends sounded a little rough to me. I'm hopefully gonna start my next mix tonight. I've had to put it off for a week, but I hope to get it done soon. Edit: You know, I'm actually not happy with the mix I made after reviewing it with my beta testers. So, I'll post something else up instead; a throwback to the Fruity Power mixes of not so long ago: Ready Steady Go! (Excited Ver.) |

SEB 177 hasn't even been out for 24 hours and we are already making remixes ! Well, I am disappointed with Dave Rodgers lack of motivation on SEB 177, I decided to prove my point about Red Core and Watch Out (They are pretty much the same beat!!!) I made two remixes - One that goes back and forth between songs (decent transitions nothing really awesome, still got to work on that ) and then one non-stop transition from Red Core to Watch Out. Enjoy and hopefully you will see my point Watch Out For The Red Core Megaupload - http://www.zshare.net/J7R1AHOL Sendspace - *later today* Red Core 2 Watch Out Megaupload - http://www.zshare.net/EA2R39MY Sendspace - *later today* BTW Manix for the remix !!! About Lebon14's megamix: I didn't like the songs in the beginning, but thats just me. Intro was good imitation from real sebs and transitions got better at the end. I don't have anything else to say about the transitions then "they are done just like you would expect from a fanmade megamix" They are the hardest part and it's impossible to make them like in real seb megamixes but you came trough well. A nice megamix, and it looks like you put a lot of effort in it. |

Posted by: Lebon14 May 17 2007, 01:57 PM |
Hey guys. I made an edit of "Raising Hell" by Fastway. The intro was boring and too long and some breakdown was bad and the ending bad too. So, I used some points in the song to make the 31sec intro.and the ending something that I like Well... File info time! MP3, 320kbps, 3:57 9.5 MB Download here : Over here! v2.01 Enjoy! EDIT I made a mistake in my mix. So, the link has been replaced. Forgot to reverse somethin'... ahah... (it was not in the mix before) (v2.0 > v2.01) |
Posted by: Manix May 18 2007, 04:08 AM |
Not bad. I actually surprised myself as I accidentally had my player on repeat. You could loop the song in that way. Try listening to this on repeat and listen for a "transition" as it ends. Perhaps if you snipped off some of the silence at the beginning/end, it could loop even better. |
Posted by: Lebon14 May 18 2007, 08:40 AM |
My goal was not creating a transition Manix. I know it could be easy though. |
Posted by: Manix May 18 2007, 11:27 PM
I know it wasn't; that's the best part. You accidentally stumbled upon an infinitely looping song that works rather well. It can easily flow from beginning to end and back to beginning without the beginning suddenly starting like other loops. |

Can I request Jean Love - Steel Blade to be made into a super extended remix like the Eurofunk - Stop to give up? Thanks in advance. |

I hope that you all enjoy and look out for the "personalized" intro from me on this mix ! *EDIT* Per request of BmwNeoType, I finally went ahead and made a Burning Desire remix! Burning Desire (Burning Baby Remix) - 6:11 sendspace: http://www.zshare.net/file/0kg5tk Megaupload: http://www.zshare.net/IYS2QNCI (Nothing really special, just something a little different.) Special note: As always, thank you all for your requests and downloads of these remixes! I can't speak for the rest of the remixers, but I am happy that you take the time to d/l one of my mixes and I always appreciate that . Let me get some feed back on what you think of the mixes when you all get a chance! |

oneofakind2k6, you're on fire! Several remixes in the past week! Really good quality and smooth transitioning. Thanks again to you (and the coming of summer), I am going to resume my mixing. There's many reasons why I haven't been mixing the past few months/many weeks; but most notable was my troublesome laptop. Also, my mixes were becoming to hashed together so I needed a break. I'm gonna shoot for an exclusive mix this week on my radio show for release afterward since this is my last radio show of the quarter for me 'til Fall. Keep on mixing and watch out for my new mixes! EDIT: I managed to make a simple mix tonight that wasn't damaging to the original songs as my first attempt a while ago (that was never released). Made In The Night of Fire (ASRM) |

MANIX!!! It's been too long my friend ! I'm loving the Made in the Night Of Fire Remix (envy is swelling in me on how well you remixed it!!!)! I know exactly what you went through, Man. Back in late April, my computer crash and I was out of it for a while. At the same time, I too took a break from remixing (I'll admit, for a while... my remixes were pretty stale for me). Then early this month I finally got my computer back online (the main hard drive crashed but I was able to save all the remixes I had made on my other hard drive )! Anyway, I finally have a small break this summer (I still take one class ) and I will definetly be making more remixes! We're going to be burning up the forums with remixes left and right ! I'll also be sure to catch that final show as well! Thanks for the remix, Manix and keep up the good work ! *HUGE EDIT* Ladies and Gentlemen of IDWF... It gives me great pleasure to introduce what I believe is the crown jewel of any remix I've ever made. It took a good while to get this mix perfect and I hope that anyone that downloads this masterpiece feels the same way. May I humbly present to all of you... Good thing that you guys keep the remix scene alive, I myself haven't done remixing for quite sometime now. I also had some trouble with my computer and internet connection. (read stupid vista) Manix: those transitions on Go 2 megamix were stylish, nicely done oneofakind2k6: What can I say, Mega NRG Man is the best. Thanks. Now I'm off to remix... Oh yeah summer vacation |

New mix a comin'! As featured in my radio show yesterday morning. It should be up soon after I finish ul my recording of the radio show into my thread. All great mixes, so far I'm really liking the Go2 Remix. |
Posted by: Manix Jun 9 2007, 07:22 PM
That was actually really cool. I'd like to hear more mixes like that. I don't think I could make a mix like that since I prefer some sort of "continuity" in my mixes; I can't really describe it but I just can't do that kind of mix . But I like it nonetheless. Edit: Ok, I meant to be doing this a while ago but only managed to get my Go 2 Megamix up. Manix, your first "Eurobeat" mix was great but your Super Striker & Looka Bomba mixes (inside) was sometime not going together.... Please, can you choose somewhere else than Megaupload? I hate that place! I just downloaded your first three mixes and then want to wait 3 hours! F*ck that! Upload them to SendSpace please along with your Ready Steady Go Excited Ver. mix that was offered on Page 5 on this topic and your your Megamix of Page 5 too please please! |

Alright, I'll ul those again to SS. Course, those are my older mixes; nothing new. To be honest, I don't think I did a very good job on my Super Bomba Power Stiker Mix either, but It's long and I worked hard on it before so I figure, "eh I'll release it." I may re-do that mix sometime though. I have a few mixes I'm holding back since I'm not pleased enough to release them and they're not very good. EDIT: Ready Steady Go! Well gang, Lebon14 was able to snag a copy of the "Official" copy of Neo's Takumi and I must say...I like it but I don't like it . I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything but the remixes I've made had more energy and feel to them than the original. Though a simple speed up of the song can fix that, I think it's something about having the car as in the background revving up and the fast pace of the remix that sounds so much better. Overall, I really do like the original but I guess after listening to the remixes so much, I set a high standard for the original Either way, I'm happy the song was finally released! You all be the judge |
Posted by: Manix Jun 11 2007, 05:25 PM |
I have a similar sentiment. The original extended Takumi was surprising in the way it was mixed from what I was expecting, but not too bad. I actually like oneofakind's take on an original ver. of the song more than the actual (you should release that for comparison - ). And hey, that's two long awaited songs out of three released in 1 month (Babyface and Takumi); hopefully we'll see Go 2's Play Loud by next month! |

You always make me happy with a new "Takumi" remix oneofakind! I also have a small comment that you guys might find amusing. My girlfriend always finds the titles of these mixes hilarious, so she suggests that maybe for that hardcore Takumi mix you made, title it: Takumi (Mega-Super-Duper-Uber-Non-Stop-Ultra-Extended-Ultimate Remix)- Neo. HAHAH!! Not my idea, it was all hers! But overall, nice job with Takumi! Finally we have the song, and from my opinion, I'll keep the remixes around to remind me of how fun it was to hear a 10 minute version of Takumi. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Jun 13 2007, 03:26 AM
What? No Turbo-EX-Plus Alpha-Third Strike ??? That name is a lot better than the one I put on the mix, excellent name . I'm glad that you like the takumi mixes, the really have become like Street Fighter up here (always updated ). Either way, I'm glad that you like them Akagi's White Comet!!! |

You know, one of the best parts in remixing is naming the remix oneofakind2k6, you said that Kingo King O Beat (Ultimate Fruity Power Remix) was your best work, I liked your Mega NRG Man remixes better. Kingo King Beat O Beat was an awesome remix though, figures because I'm a sucker for looping There are two songs that I just can get out my head, so I put together this: Ace Warrior Vs Mega NRG Man - No Religion & Into The Fire http://www.zshare.net/file/4bpsgh oneofakind2k6 you pump out new remixes so fast...I'm stunned. |
Posted by: Manix Jun 15 2007, 03:03 AM
I second that! I'd think that making so many remixes so quickly would degrade the quality but you manage to pull it off. Very Nice! I'm gonna have to get crackin' after Sat. and before Thurs. to get some stuff up; then 2 week hiatus (again ). If I'm lucky I'll have some time tomorrow (later today ). |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Jun 15 2007, 06:24 AM |
^^ LOL I guess I'm a workaholic!!! I only made 6 new mixes in two weeks (that's excluding the takumi mixes - they are just updates ). Come to think it...that is a lot...but it don't seem like it when you are having so much fun doing it! About the Powerful T. and Lolita Mixes - I had already made those mixes but they were just not good enough at the time, so I put them in the back of my catalog of mixes I had made. I went back recently and found them and decided to clean them up. Thus the two new mixes . I'm glad you like the Mega NRG Man Mixes Kettu! I like the Kingo King O Beat mix personally because it really took a good while to get the beats at the beginning perfect and all. I really like all my mixes (even the the first ones I made, though they do suck a little ) and I'm just glad I can share them with others that enjoy them as well. I really like the new mix you came out with, great originality and great songs ! Manix, I can't wait to hear some of your new mixes as well! If it's alright with you, I'm gonna take a shot at a GO2 extended mix (you really set the bar high with your GO2 mixes and I just wanna try to see if I can match it ) I'm also working on some songs that we can collaborate on...I'll send you the links to the mixes when I get them done . Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Jun 19 2007, 01:15 PM
It's no trouble at all! If we don't have people make requests, then making the remixes would be kinda of pointless . I didn't see any Lucky Man Remixes so I decided to make an extended mix!!! Dave Rodgers - Lucky Man (Extended Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/EMQLE110 SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/2uu0nt I hope that you enjoy it *EDIT* I've got to admit, I'm not a huge fan of "love" songs and all, but I really like Dave Rodgers "Nothing Changed". Not only is the original song a classic, the remake on "Heaven Meets Eurobeat Style" - awesome !!! So awesome that I made simple little mix. If you got a gf/bf - this is definetly a sorry/I love you type of song. If you just like Dave Rodgers, this is a great song. Heck, if you're just a fan of Eurobeat give it a listen Dave Rodgers - Nothing Changed (Lovers Quarrel Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/DHZ85RQ9 SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/0pa37x |

Hey you guys don't have to be sorry for requesting here !!! If anything, you might have to wait a little while longer than a normal request, but there isn't anything to be sorry for . I'll try to have Rykukatei's request up either tonight or early tomorrow, if not the latest will be Saturday (but I don't think that will happen...I hope ) Now I can take a stab at your request N1cko518 if you like, but to be honest with ya Manix is the uber GO2 mixer and his mixes are always awesome (check 'em out when you get a chance). It's up to you though . *EDIT* Alright, here finally is the Extended Mix of Speed Lover!!! Hooray for internet cafes! I'm replying from Germany right now and I've had a lot of time to listen to eurobeat music on my iPod. I've come up with many exciting ideas for some revision work of some fun mixes (Go 2 Megamix V2) and some new mixes. Unfortunately, I can't mix from here so I'll have to wait until I get back before I can start! I'm gonna try to download the new that came up since I left. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Jun 24 2007, 07:29 AM |
You're in Germany !?!? WOW!!! One of the main places of good Euro and Trance!!! That is so freaking awesome! Well be safe and have a good time down there !!! |

Thanx, will do! I did manage to dl your stuff and it sounds great; as usual, lol. I'll try to put them on my iPod from here. I'm having mixing withdrawls over here. I can't wait to piece together some new stuff, and if my plans for Go 2 Megamix V2 play out as I imagine it, it should be much better than my current mix. While I'm talking about new material I might as well announce my plans for a Mega NRG Man Megamix and possibly some mixes of Ace and Fastway in a megamix (a pseudo-Go 2 setup). I'll also try to get to internet cafes when I can (I'm traveling in a tour group) and catch the new material. Let the summer of remixes rage on! |
Posted by: Hot Damn! Jun 24 2007, 07:54 AM |
Are these actually remixes or just re-edits? |
Posted by: Manix Jun 24 2007, 07:56 AM |
Little of both you could say. We can only work with stuff released on albums/downloads and not the raw mixing material afterall. Give 'em a listen and leave some feedback, good or bad; I like to hear harsh criticism to help improve my mixing. |
Posted by: Hot Damn! Jun 24 2007, 08:33 AM |
Oh wait, I can request remixes in here as well? |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Jun 24 2007, 08:40 AM |
You can request a member remix to be made and one of us will make a remix for you. If there is remix on an album you're looking for, then you might want to go to the Eurobeat request thread. In this thread, the actual members of this forum make remixes out of material already released (or like you said "re-edit"). |

Let's keep this summer of mixin going with a new (and another ) Dave Rodger's remix. The is an extended mix of his version of Make Up Your Mind (not to be confused with the other remix I made that featured Wain L). Dave Rodgers - Make Up Your Mind (Hard Decision Extended Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/TLTVVO6Q SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/23yhmt I'll really happy that all of you enjoy the remixes that have come out so far. I'm also glad that more and more people are starting to check this section out more as well . I'll be working on the "Year Of The Dragon" extended mix next, so be on the look out for that soon |

Alright, it's Monday and the beginning of a new week and you all know what that means...A NEW MIX!!! The Summer made for mixin' continues per request of Ryosuke-sama! I've finally sat down made an extended mix of The Year Of The Dragon!!! Since there is a great expectation out of this, I hope this mix meets all of your needs for a good epic eurobeat song: POWERFUL T - THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON (EPIC EXTENDED MIX) MU: http://www.zshare.net/681WVICF SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/cue2br Enjoy and thank you guys for your support of this thread ! Hopefully our remixes continue to make you all get up and dance and request for more To Mad_Cow: Welcome to the boards Mad_Cow and I must say that I really enjoyed your mix! I can't wait to hear more from ya To oneroundflare: Thanks for the request and I'll try to have it up this week (hopefully by tomorrow or sooner ) |

sorry for asking another request. but i absolutely love Go 2 and so far ur remixes of their songs are good. Can you please make a Power-Go2 remix? sorry for the request |

Are you all ready for some more mixin'? Per request of oneroundflare, here is a remix of Raisin' Hell: Fastway - Raising Hell (Raise Up Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/DMVFA8Z3 SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/gbagll Something about this mix - I think this is one of the shorter mixes I've made (only 4:30) but it's got such an impact that I think it makes up for the short time. I can make it extended, but like I said, I think this mix is a good stand alone mix. Enjoy! To N1cko518: I told you before not to be sorry for requesting N1cko518 ! I'll start working on your mix tonight and it will probably be up by tomorrow |

thanks oneofakind2k6 this remix made my day. you make remixes hella good keep up the great work! |
Posted by: Manix Jul 4 2007, 06:40 AM |
I'm finally back and ready to mix it up! I actually made a remix of Power some time ago but I don't remember if it was experimental or alright. I'll re-listen to it and post it if I deem it worthy. Otherwise, I'll redo it. |
Posted by: Ryosuke-sama Jul 4 2007, 06:48 AM |
OMG it was wonderful!!! oneofakind2k6, you are foda (word of brazil xD) Congratulations and thank you \o/ epic is a good name! |
Posted by: Manix Jul 4 2007, 09:38 AM
I'm gonna redo my old one and have it up later. First I'm gonna finish up Go 2 Megamix Ver. 2 then get on it. Edit: Alright, Go 2 Megamix Ver. 2 is complete. I'm uploading it now. The format is the same with some changes to the songs within the mix and incorporating the new Let It Burn mix. The transitions are cleaner now from before. However, I still couldn't help Funky Funlover from sounding different. It could be that the song off the album is "dirty" from the original mix, but if I get a better copy of it I'll re-mix it in here for a Ver. 2.1. Expect a Ver. 3 once Play Loud or another Go 2 song comes out. Another Edit: Before I left I said I'd make a Speed Lover Remix, but oneofakind's is so good that I don't feel like I need to do another one. Besides, there are plenty of other projects to work on. Finally: Go 2 Megamix Ver. 2 - MU Go 2 Megamix Ver. 2 - SS |

Alright peeps, let's keep the summer of mixin' going with Akagi's White Comet request for Golden 70s Year!!!! Dave Rodgers - Golden 70s Year (Goblet Of Rock Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/L345ALQD SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/mo6g67 Something about this mix - This is actually a little colaboration between Manix and myself. He actually made up the solo for this song and I added a little bit more to the solo. So you can say that this is technically the 2nd remix we've both worked on together (one touch being the first). Speaking of working together, if you all haven't seen the poster, Manix and myself are working on a GO 2 remix album for later this month. So if you have fastway, ace, or GO 2 remix request, try to hold out until the end of the month for those request. They might just show up on the album I also want to say sorry about not getting the mix faster (I normally get them up here asap) but I just had some personal issues to deal with this past week so hopefully I can get these request filled faster . Keep requesting and enjoy |

good day everyone... the remixes sound great, definitely sheer win... and i guess requesting for a remix of "eurobeat" by dr. love isn't too harsh of a request... XD thanks in advance... ^ ^ |

Have you checked out my prior mixes of Eurobeat yet? You can find them https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=27681&view=findpost&p=814565. I have to say that I still find my Eurobeat (Go To The Beat Mix) as my best work to this day. |
Posted by: Lebon14 Jul 18 2007, 12:30 AM |
I don't know guys if you are interrested in a "Eurobeat Vs. HyperTechno/Techno/Trance" megamix. I would like to know if you would like to hear one. Hyper techno and such are found on TechPara albums and on albums featuring techno and trance too (Tokyo Auto Salon anyone?). Interrested or not, I'm starting one. |
Posted by: Manix Jul 19 2007, 01:09 AM
Hells yeah I'm interested! I've been playing around with the idea in my head but I haven't gotten up the motive to try yet. The task of selecting such techno songs to mix with is so daunting to me with my vast collection; I don't know how I'd ever sift through it, lol. I can't wait to hear what you come up with. |

Hey Everybody! Well it's been a long time (to me at least) since I've last had an opportunity to get a remix up. Be honest with you guys, I've had a lot of personal issues come up as of late and my remixing has been put on delay. To apologize for the long delay, Manix and Myself have finally made the "Fly Me To The Moon & Back" Remix!!! To be honest, this is one of the more difficult mixes I think I've ever worked on but I believe the work has paid off. Hopefully you will all enjoy this mix. The Spiders From Mars - Fly Me To The Moon & Back (Lost In Space Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/6BH479EX SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/qixv0r A small update on the GO 2 album: Manix and I have been working on the album now and it's getting down to the deadline. I've got to admit, some of the mixes we've made sound pretty amazing and I can't wait until we release the album. Look for the album next tuesday, July 31 |

Yeah...the comp I'm using can't burn the disc image. I could try to move it to my comp with nero, but if you're gonna put up an mp3, that'd be awesome. |

That's better. Now I got some comments: Great Mix! I really enjoyed your blend of Hyper Techno and Eurobeat. I hadn't thought about using Hyper Techno with Eurobeat and now it seems like a no-brainer. And while your transitions were all very smooth, I still thought that some (though few) could have been more connected. At some points, it felt like listening to my car stereo with a non-stop mix segmented into separate tracks on the CD - it all flows together, but in-between tracks there's a short pause as the next track plays. Granted it's not as defined as that, I still felt that, if only for about a handful of transitions. But I must say it is definitely a much higher successful rate of transitioning between songs in a mix this grand compared to the mess I cobbled together and called "Stop, the Megamix" (Me then-> <-Me Now!). Final Verdict: Awesome Job! I wanna hear Vol. 2! I may try to do something like this when I'm out of other ideas / requests. |

Once again, an excllent job from oneofakind2k6 and Manix on their work on the Fly Me To the Moon and Back remix. I loved the "live" effect that was placed as well as the overall, extended mix of it all. Very nice and one of best remixes I've heard. Keep up the good work guys!! |

Alright!!! Ladies and Gentlemen!!! Manix and oneofakind2k6 give you: GO 2 - The Remixes Tracklist: 01 - Not For Sale (Extended Mix) 02 - Welcome to the Real World (Reality Check Mix) 03 - Rider Of The Sky (Highway to the Heavens Mix) 04 - Kingo King O Beat (Ultimate Fruity Power Remix) 05 - Raising Hell (Raise Up Mix) 06 - Futureland (Accelerated Space Mix) 07 - Revolution (Racin' To Dance Mix) 08 - Space Love (Recall Remix) 09 - One Touch (Hyper Dance Studio Remix) 10 - Go Super Striker (Super Striking Remix) 11 - Let It Burn (Burning Into The Night Mix) 12 - Funky Funlover (Funkin' Love Remix) We both hope that you all enjoy this album. Manix and myself really put forth an effort to make high quality remixes for this album. Even though 5 tracks have been released as singles, I believe that this album over all is a very good collection of remixes. You have a little of everything from extended dance mixes to racing mixes - so you have varity. I personally want to thank Manix for helping me and collaborating with me on this project! Thank you all for your support!!! *EDIT* If you have already d/l the album I want to go ahead and apologize for the sloppy remix of Funky Funlover. I went back and listened to the mix and it was just very sloppy . I decided to scrap that song and make an extended version. It will also allow everyone to put the whole CD on a 80 min. CD-R (I noticed that the album ran a little over, my bad on that part as well ) I'll have the better mix of up in a bit 12 - Funky Funlover (Extended Funk Mix) |
Posted by: EvolutionXI Aug 1 2007, 01:20 AM |
^ Looks interesting, think I'll d/l it and see how it is. Going out of town tomorrow though so probably won't have time until I get back over the weekend. Still haven't gotten around to listening to Lebon's Eurobeat Vs. Hypertechno one yet either Just a question of curiosity though...how come you called it "Go 2 - The Remixes" when only a few tracks are by Go 2? |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Aug 1 2007, 05:25 AM
Well, when we came up with the idea of doing the album we started doing just GO 2 songs but figured Ace and Fastway have done some pretty good solo work as well. So we decided that we would do an album with remixes of Ace and Fastway and when they are together they are GO 2 (so the song goes ). The album was divided evenly so not to favor any artist as well. So you'll see that there are 4 Ace songs, 4 Fastway Songs, and 4 GO 2 songs. Another big reason is that GO 2 really hasn't released that much material. They have only released 7 songs, so figuring the each remix is an average 6 min - 7min long, you only get a 42min - 49 min CD. By using the Fastway and Ace songs, we were able to showcase their solo work as well and also fill in the remaining time (about additional 20-25 min. of music). That's just some of the reasons for the title *EDIT* Alright, continuing with the summer of mixin' per request Rykukatei!!! Maiko - Don't Go Baby (Going No Where Remix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/Q2MP9T85 SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/udjgk1 Enjoy *EDIT II* Here's an extended mix I made the other day ago! Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting that many remixes as of late, I've been really busy as of late. I've also have an announcement to make as well. During the fall, I will have a full schedule of classes to take at UNCW and I might not be able to get to the remixes as fast as I usually can. However, that doesn't mean I won't contribute what I can to IDWF! I will continue to make remixes and post them on here ASAP, so please don't feel like you can't request anymore. This past summer has been awesome, with the release of the album and over 20+ remixes and I thank all of you supporters for that . I will continue to contribute and bring you all the best in remixing! Alright, enough about serious business, let's get down to EUROBEAT business! I've decided to try something new as of late and that's mix cover Eurobeat songs with their original counterparts. What you get are some good extended dance remixes I think that everyone will enjoy! The first two I want to try out is "Never Gonna Give You Up" originally by Rick Astley and covered by Kevin Johnson and the second song being "I Was Made For Lovin' You" performed by KISS and covered by Dave Rodgers . What you get is an original song meeting it's Eurobeat cousin, along with just great music to get up and dance too. With that said, I give you the remixes: Rick Astley & Kevin Johnson - Never Gonna Give You Up (80's Style Meets Eurobeat Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/JXYKJFWO SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/zjeufq KISS & Dave Rodgers - I Was Made For Lovin' You (Explodin' On The Dance Floor Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/9Y3O1HC8 SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/uz5lfw As always, Enjoy *EDIT* Here is a new remix , enjoy ! After an extremely busy week at college (believe me it sucked major B@LL$!), I was able to make a new mix ! Still going on with my cover Eurobeat mixes, I was able to mix Metallica and Spock's versions of Enter The Sandman. I know a lot of people didn't like Spock's version of this song, but I did my best to make it likeable! So with that said here it is: Metallica & Spock - Enter The Sandman (Welcome 2 My Nightmare Mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/I3ZQBAP2 SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/pnntho BTW, do you guys like these mixes at all? I know awdrifter liked his mix (and I appreciate that very much ), but I didn't know if the rest of you do as well... I'll try to work on Akagi's request tonight along with some other remixes as well. Until then, take care and Enjoy! |

Hey guys! I made my first ever mix. It's a fusion of Fastway - Crash Boom Burn me up and Nick Mansell - Burn me up. Let me know what you think. Also, feel free to give me advice for future mixes. Here's the link. Enjoy! http://www.zshare.net/file/t7hhnm |
Posted by: Manix Aug 28 2007, 03:45 PM
First tip - re-encode to .mp3 when finished. This is gonna take me 20 min. to d/l on cable - yikes! The mix concept seems solid enough tho. I'll have some feedback for ya later. |

I just got done listening to the mix and I must say I am impressed with the concept of the song and the effort, not bad for a first mix. Here are some pointers for future remixes: 1.) I stress this fact every time when remixing and that is -- the mix must flow together. When you mix the two songs back to back, you did a great job of finding the points to mix the songs but the breaks in the song hurt the mix overall. Try to use a crossfade feature or even create your own beat within the song to transition between the mixing of the two tracks. When you mix, as yourself this question "What would the listener think when they hear this remix?" 2.) Try to maintain the same volume of what songs you are mixing together. For example: you use the beginning of "Crash Boom Burn Me Up!", which is a good volume but when you mix the first verse of "Burn Me Up" with it, the quality of the song lowers. A simple match volume touch can fix that problem or just a good set of headsets to hear the difference will help. 3.) One of the best things to do when making a remix is the speed of the song. IMHO, I heard parts of where the song is too fast and just average. What's best to do in that situation is try match the speeds of the songs. Slow one of the songs down or speed up one of the song the tempos, then when you complete the mix, you can adjust the tempo accordingly. Hopefully this will help. Trust me when I say, making remixes isn't easy . Believe me, I'm still learning more and more with each mix I make. It takes a lot of time and effort (especially when you want to do fancy stuff like add SFX and your own beats) and with enough practice I'm sure you will get better. Like I said, not bad for a first mix! I know that you'll get better as long as you keep practicing and all. I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing some of your futrure remixes |

Thanks for the advice, one I am practicing and hopefully I'll get better at it. I'll keep your advice in mind when I make my next mix |
Posted by: Manix Aug 28 2007, 07:43 PM
Well, oneofakind hit pretty much everything. I don't mean to sound harsh here, but IMO, you didn't really mix the song until close to the end where there was one transition that had a smaller gap than the rest. Practicing with crossfades will help that. I couldn't crossfade for a while and that's why my earlier mixes were of the same song; that way I could cut into it without using crossfades and no one notices . I think oneofakind may have been the same way . But, with practice, we have come to a point where we can make decent mixes. I say decent because I think that with more practice and perhaps better equipment, we could make much better mixes. Back on point - for a first mix you've got the right idea. Although, from personal experience, you may want to try mixing different versions of one song into a single song for practice. Listen to my Eurobeat (Go To The Beat Mix) several pages back as an example - it was my second mix and yet I still hail it as my best work to date, and I didn't use any crossfades for that mix . Hope that helps and that your mixing improves, as well as all of our mixing (I know my mixing still has to improve ). |

I figure I'll be brave and share my mix. It's my first major mix, so be nice. DJ Saru's Happy Hour Nonstop Megamix *A note about the name* Saru is another nickname I go by (also happens to be the name I used in the file). It's Japanese for monkey. Anyways, it is about an hour long (59:59 to be exact) and consists of the following songs: Intro (little snipets from Alien Light/Roswell) Over the Rainbow/Powerful T Boom Boom Fire/D. Essex Ganguro/ Franz Tornado Bandolero Comanchero/Franz Tornado Fever the Night/Matt Land Shock Out/ Fastway Speedway/ Niko Running Ninja (Akiba Koubou remix)/Eurofunk Batman is Bruce Wayne/Garcon Grand Prix/Mega NRG Man Get Another Chance/Mega NRG Man Lucky Tango/Virginelle Discow Moscow/ Franz Tornado Señorita (Speedy Mix)/ Jenny Rom Shake Shake Shake/Riki 1 Sexy Sexy Sexy/Ken Martin Kingdom of Rock/Dave Rodgers Burning Desire (New Generation Mix)/ Mega NRG Man Come On!/Roswell Fantasista!/Ace Deja Vu/ Dave Rodgers Fire on the Beat/Ace Warrior In the Sky, In Your Soul/Nick Mansell Para Para Allstars/Volta & Gabbana Bazooka Pistolero/Franz Tornado Burning in the Night/Betty Blue Gotcha!/Domino Super Euroflash/Franz Tornado Power/Go2 Night of Fire/Niko The Final Countdown/Dave Rodgers Not For Sale/Go2 Alien Light/Roswell Enjoy! |

Great mix. Would it be possible to do a duet mix of these two songs (Like the "Sore Ga Ai Deshou" duet mix), I think that would be pretty kick ass. |
Posted by: Manix Aug 29 2007, 02:55 PM |
eurogal, I'm about 1/3 through your mix now and I'm quite impressed! I loved the opening and it sounds great for a first mix. Your transitions could be better but they were well timed and kept a flow through the song. Transitions are by far the hardest part about a mix and these are some of the best transitions I've heard for a first mix (including my own first mix in that comparison). Can't wait to hear more from ya! |

Here`s the edits I did for the Super Euro Resurrection thing last year..... made from bits of flash & mach mixes. I know some of them have since turned up as legitimate extended versions, but they were just done for fun at the time, so don`t expect miracles.

Thanks, Manix! To be honest, there are a few transitions I'm not 100% thrilled with myself (i.e.-between Night of Fire and the Final Countdown..tried to shorten, but couldn't get it to sound good, so I left it alone). I think with more experience I'll fine tune my techniques. |
Posted by: Manix Aug 29 2007, 04:47 PM
So, are these re-edited extends you made similar to what oneofakind did for Neo - Takumi out of megamix versions? |
Posted by: Fad Aug 29 2007, 05:00 PM |
Yes, that`s it....it all started because there were no extendeds of quite a few of the euroflash & euromach tracks around at the time. I just found those on a dvd backup, I thought I`d lost them ages ago. (They`re all from around May 2006.) |

Hello! I saw this post, this song is signal, but the bond died… Is what it is possible that somebody can UP this song? I speak about “Handbook - One My Wings (No Stoppin' Remix)â€. Thank you and if I can you ask small for a mix of “Dance Around The Word†of Delta Queens? Still thank you, and to afflict for my English really very bad… |
Posted by: Manix Sep 14 2007, 12:01 PM |
Not easy reading your post Frédéric, but I understand what you are saying. I'll re-upload it for ya. Also, I'll see about working on the Delta Queens remix for ya. I haven't been working on any remixes for a while due to school work but now I got a week's break to get back to mixing. The summer of mixing may be coming to a close, but rest assured that remixes will continue. And with great new stuff coming out this month, including 3 Go 2 songs, many new mixing opportunities shall arise! Edit: Manuel - On My Wings (No Stoppin' Remix) |

To afflict, I will not speak French, therefore I use a site of translation… But it is not the signal… If not, thank you very much for the remixe of Manuel! And this tightened really cool for Delta Queens! |

Hello has all! I would like to know if somebody made a long version of “Don' T Stop The Music I has just looked at the old pages, but I do not have to find… On the other hand I have to find “The Spiders From Mars - Fly To Me To The Moon & Back (Lost In Space Mix)†and the bond goes (DRIVEN). Therefore, if somebody has a long version of “Don' T Stop The Music†tightened nice your share to put the bond, thank you for advance. |

Well it's heartwarming to see that someone still wants my remixes. Manix thank you for the Mega NRG's Into The Fire remix, decided to scrap my version of it because your mix really hit the spot. |
Posted by: awdrifter Oct 14 2007, 11:36 PM |
Now sure if I should start a new thread for this or not, I kinda want to try to make my own remix, what kind of programs does everyone use? And are there any stock audio clips that I can use for transitions? Thanks advance. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Oct 15 2007, 02:55 PM
A program that I use is called Goldwave Audio, which is a great audio program. It allows you to use transitions and effects quite easily (learning curve about an hour or two). As far as stock audio clips for transitions, some of the best clips to use for transitions are mega mix clips or create your own. |

It's been a while since I have last put up a remix (8-21-07...wow) , so I've finally found some time to get one made and put it up here! This is an extended mix of Dave Rodger's Eldorado! Good show ol' boy! Like the new mix. I've been trying to work on stuff myself and get around to old requests...yeah...college loves getting in the way...W/E! As I mentioned in my radio thread, I'm working on Go 2 Megamix Vol. 2 (not to be confused with Ver. 2 - which to me will essentially be Vol. 1; and my first Go 2 Megamix a prototype Ver.). I'm about half-way done with it after several hours of mixing - and that was the easy half... I may be able to finish it by this weekend but we'll see. Not to mention my other mixing projects . Eventually, they will be heard. |

Wow that Eldorado remix is pretty damn sweet. Don't like the original that much, but this remix is kickass. Great Work Oneofakind. *edit* I just discovered this Forum, and I have to say "WOW". Some awesome remixes in here by some very talented people. I just love remixes. Keep up the good work guys. No problem! Anything for the fans ******************************************************************* Speaking of the fans, a wild reputation remix was requested over the summer a while ago and I finally got around to the mix! (Sorry about the long wait BTW ) Dave Rodgers - Wild Reputation 2K7 (oneofakind extended mix) MU: http://www.zshare.net/0ZHPR1WN SS: http://www.zshare.net/file/oajawi Wild Reputation 2005 had a duration of 6:17, while this remix clocks in 7:06. Don't be confused by the time, however, because the tempo of this remix is equal to the non-stop mix versions of the song. As always I hope that you all enjoy and thanks again for all your support ! |

Glad that you like the mix, awdrifter! As a matter of fact, for those that have or haven't downloaded the remix yet, you can listen to it in a music video I made on youtube! I decided to do a tribute Video to both Eurobeat and Initial D's Keisuke Takahashi using this song. Nothing great but a pretty good vid IMO. Check it out when you get a chance if you would like. Dave Rodgers - Wild Reputation 2K7 Music Video ******************************************************************** I did do a Right Now remix a while ago, Xcert but the quality of the mix was really bad. I went back and re-did the remix this time with better audio (128 kbps Vs. 320 kbps). I should have the links up soon Dark Angels - Right Now (extended mix) http://www.zshare.net/2B89ECOZ |

I gotta say oneofakind, great new mix with Wild Reputation. It's more akin to your somewhat older mixes now of Stop to Give Up, Steel Blade, and the like. Keep up the great work! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update on Go 2 Megamix Vol. 2 : So, it seems this project may be longer than I had thought. I played some of the transitions between songs I had done to my friend and got some advice to redo them because they were not too great. Listening back on my 2nd mix of the first Go 2 Megamix, I realize that some of those edits are pretty harsh too (if you haven't noticed it, don't try to so that you can continue enjoying it). I see now why it takes people actually in the business so long to get it right, because if you can hash out a mix in several hours or a day, it's just gonna be sloppy to some degree. I'm just gonna take my time with this in the hopes of producing something with more quality than my previous mixes. Don't hold your breath though for this because my current schedule doesn't allow for too much mixing time. Also, I'm trying out some new transition styles inspired by house/club/various other techno genres in this latest mix. Once I finish this I'll resume my single track remixes and hopefully carry over what I've learned from this mix into them. |
Posted by: oneofakind2k6 Oct 30 2007, 07:51 AM |
^^ Thanks Manix, I appreciate that . I can't wait to here the GO 2 Megamix Volume 2! By any chance, can you give us a small idea on what songs are going to be on this megamix ? |
Posted by: Manix Oct 31 2007, 12:11 AM
It will have all of Go 2's song up date, including the recent releases of Blood On Fire, NRG and Play Loud. If I can, I may get an underlying beat to connect them all a little easier, but it looks like it will just be the same kind of mix I've done before - just better. I'm still a bit hung up on Funky Funlover and its unwillingness to mix properly. I wish I had a program to whip the song into shape and conform into the rest of the mixes... Oh well. So yeah - can't wait to get this one out there. EDIT: Oh snap! I just realized on the release list of 182 today: CD 2: 26. FUNKY FUNLOVER / GO 2 Perhaps I can use that to better up Funky Funlover. Thank the SEB Gods for this blessing! |

I requested this mix, oneofakind2k6 xD That was a awesome remix! Really love it *.* What about a BLOOD on FIRE mix, using AAA and Go 3 (xD) version? *.* |

Wow, I think it may finally be finished. Damn, lol. I spent so frickin' long on this Go 2 Megamix. It's just over 45 min. long and has a variant of every Go 2 song made thus far. I'll give my beta-testers a listen before I release it in case they catch something I haven't or just think I need to re-mix something. I already had to start from scratch once and I really don't want to again. |
