Glad you didn't have any issues with getting the sword home! cool.gif

yeah, they were pretty chill when warned before hand that i have it. didnt even have to take it out of the box. the blade has a slight warp but a bit of pressure corrected most of it and its fine now. i just now have to order a sword display/rack for it, think i'll name the sword Sinha (Yona of the Dawn).

though at the samurai/ninja museum inside teramachi they did have sharp katanas that they'd sell if one wanted one. im not that crazy enough to pack an actual working blade alongside a dull stainless and wooden bokken.

i even brought home a Gundam

SPOILER

its a shame i cant pack 2 dull imitation Katana in my bags, id have gotten a red one. i could've still gotten a red one but it would need to be shipped over, shipping for a $70 dull Katana would be rather pointless money wise...

edit 2: i also got a Tomica white R33 while in Japan. it looks very much like a Hot Wheels car but it has the bonus of opening doors and 2mm suspension travel smile.gif. was not expecting the Tomica to have more details than Hotwheels but im pleasantly surprised. will definitely need to collect more Tomica cars now.

All ordered within the last month or so. I never expected summer sales of this magnitude. Honestly I wish I had known, I would've saved up. RightStuf's summer sale was absolutely insane, so I "only" bought under $250 in blurays from them. But the original cart I had after going through everything I wanted was over $500... awesome.gif

Still, very happy with my purchases.

Ihave put nearly 3400km on my bike while keeping the 2003 or so bike 95% original barring the initial requests i made when first purchased it. I have lost a small red reflector which was replaced yesterday. these are the original tires and obviously the rear is a bit more worn down than the front but the front has some minor cracking just outside of the edges of the center stripe. ive also purchased better 2 LED marker lights as the previous set was for a thinner piping and the rubber clamps gave way.

i purchased these tires a week ago but will only install one next year when i start biking in 2020. id love to keep the front tire as it is for the next 9000km or +10 years to wear it down to replacement but its likely to die more from dry rubber issues that center wear. i will toss the front tire to the back and replace it when needed next and put the brand new tire on the front.

i chose the Damco D807 tires more for the appearance and the center stripe it has, i know the tread pattern doesnt have too much bearing but im trying to keep the appearance similar. finding the original tires might prove to be a bit of a hassle as its an old stock model so i found something similar to match up. i also got 2 new rubber tubes (D'UH) for the tires and will keep the old tubes as spares, they still hold PSI well.

i havent purchased an item yet but are there any good mini speakers with bluetooth under $50? im not intending to rely on the bluetooth functions as im intending to connect the speaker to say.... a more prehistoric device that doesnt have bluetooth capability. im looking at a Blackweb soundpebbleII (12hr battery with AUX port), sony SRS BX01 (6hr batt, aux batt life???), sony SRS XB12 or a, Anker mini speaker my brother found on Amazon.

its more just to act as portable speaker for a Samsung Galaxy tab E, Zen MP3 player and just maybe even a more prehistoric 1985 GE AM/FM AAA battery powered "radio device".

im still in the research phase but i would like some color that includes not black/white. red blue or green is preferred. im a reluctant participant to technology so im not sure which models are good or not. im not looking for best sound quality nor crappy quality, something that beats a tablet's audio capacity. the soft case the tablet has really blocks and messes with the sound if i dont have it reverse folded, i need to let the cover sit partially lifted to hear it better. a simple pill/can shaped speaker is what im looking for.

the Anker soundcore mini looks fine for quality, battery and price though its color range is limited.

I bought some sushi yesterday. Nothing too fancy, just a California roll and a salmon roll. I also got some asparagus soup, which was quite good too!
