i might pick up these two games and im also considering a wheel. The Logitech Driving force pro GT looks good, but how does it compare to the g25? Is the g25 overkill for this type of game? It also quite expensive...

I have tried the Logitech Driving Force pro GT and the G27 wheel on IDES. I currently have the G27 and it sure is a great wheel. But to be honest, if you just want a wheel for IDES and Wangan, might as well just go with the driving force pro gt in my opinion. Well for Wangan, I've never played Wangan on the PS3.

The reason I say that their are not that much of a difference between the Driving force pro gt and the G25/G27 wheels if you're going to play on IDES only is because you still have turn the wheel 90 degrees for a full turn like a hairpin. But the quiet G27 wheel comes in handy for me since I do late night gaming on GT5. happy.gif

I have both wheels and I have to say G25 is the way to go
Its customizable and less noisy.

In terms of arcade feel, none offers a true IDAS4 feel because of the 90 degree turn implementation in IDES. The game option doesn't let you customize how much you can turn to reach the end of the turning angle.

This issue has been discussed many times...if your intention of buying the wheel is to practice to get better at the arcade, then I suggest you to save your money...

if you just want to play Wangan and IDES, just get the DFP (Wangan does not support H-gate shift pattern on G25...not sure about G27, but IDES support both sequential and H-gate shifts)

If you plan on playing other games like Gran Turismo 5, Dirt 3, or F1, then I suggest G25/27 for the realism...or if you have some serious cash to throw down, get the Thrustmaster t500rs
