TO SEND ME SOME REQUESTS! You know, after doing that single co-DJ stint at Don's house, I've decided to go ahead and join in on this DJ thing and actually do a show or something. So I give you... the TOTAL CONTROL GEASS HOUR, every Thursday from 11:00PM-12:MN PST. And the success of the show depends on you, the listener. Here's how it works; every Thursday nights, I play nothing but stuff that you want to hear and stuff that you request. That's it. Of course, there's a slight catch; you have to send me some songs before the show begins! That's right, you, the listener, have to send me the songs you want to hear before the show so that I can put them together for an hour-long playlist! Of course, there's a few stipulations for this, since we have about an entire week or so to construct a playlist.
To send requests, go ahead and PM me! Be sure to include a link to download the song (please use sendspace or something similar, and please, no malicious files that have viruses in 'em. This is your show, I don't want to see it get spoiled) in your message. EDIT: Also, I've decided that if anyone wants me to do random SURPRISE birthday shows for people just for the lulz (seeing the success of Jake's and Perry's surprise Until then... *takes a seat at his box and prepares for next week's show* P.S. Oh, and if we can't make an hour's worth of music, that's fine. I'll probably play something until I get a few requests here or there. It's not like I don't really have a library of music to play, after all. EDIT: Lol, Jake kind of suggested that I make a promo poster, so... two posters for this show: one for the regular request and another for the Classical playlists. XD Also, I request Cooking By The Book and You Are A Pirate from LazyTown if you have them. This post has been edited by SgtXDNX on Sep 5 2008, 06:14 AM |

You need to come up with a short playlist of your own to begin with, since the community doesn't always respond quickly enough. I always compile at least an hour's worth of music myself, and then I declare that requests are the fuel to keep the fire going. Even in the chat room, members won't be requesting enough songs for a coherant show, so you need to have a decent database of tracks to (hopefully) inspire some more requests. For example, in my hour-long intro playlist, I usually play a bunch of generic tracks by well-known artists, which gets the guys in the chat room either suggesting other tracks by the same artists, or suggesting better music in the same vein as the track being played. If you have something that the listeners can build upon, they can usually assist the DJ in building something amazing. If you give them nothing to start with, you're only going to get a few of them suggesting stuff. Just helpin' you out, man. I love seeing new DJs crop up around here. |

Yeah, I figured I'd run into something like that. I'll probably do a themed playlist for starters if nobody sends anything (and no, it won't be Touhou related, even though I have that XD). This is more or less experimental, and its success will depend heavily on the listeners, but that won't stop me from playing something on the radio, even if I have to make random rants or something just to fill time. Ill probably ask around for possible themes I could use. Thanks for the advice! I can only hope I can DJ well enough XD
Sadly, I don't has a p2p program, hence the need for a sendspace to the songs you might have (hell, a rapidshit would work too). Or you could ask, I might have them on hand; and if I don't, I'll try to acquire them somehow, by hook or by crook (for now, since I'm starting out and need stuff to play on the air). I don't have one either, and look how long I've been going for. Then again, it does help that I have a massive library as it is, and constant Japanese BitTorrent releases do help. Good luck, man! |

Like an eagle! Group: SITE OWNER Posts: 8,014 Member No.: 1 Joined: Sep 15th 2002 Location: San Leandro, California | We've tested the music and mic last night with Fragger. The only thing about Fragger's soundcard input is that it doesn't seem to have Stereo Mix. For the time being, he will have to switch from Winamp input and Soundcard Input when he wants to talk. Doing so can crash winamp from time to time, but there doesn't seem to be any other solution. (We've already tried to upgrade his audio driver, no dice.) With that said, I would like to request this song - http://www.sendspace.com/file/neusjr (Unknown Artist - C Major) |

I'd like to test it sometime before Thursday when the show starts. XD Also, First Request GET EDIT: Okay, tested it this morning, and it's looking good. I just have to remember to select Stereo Mix when playing. XD This post has been edited by Pikachu_Fragger on Sep 6 2008, 11:00 AM |

Also, if nobody else is going to send requests, then I shall have full control of the airwaves this hour. But fret not, I also listen to my listeners, so I'll probably theme it to go with the first official request I that received, that being Perry's. You'll all see this Thursday XD |

Cock Blockula Group: Members Posts: 393 Member No.: 27,803 Joined: Dec 14th 2007 Location: Azusa, CA | Thanks for listening last night, and I'm happy to have delivered some awesome stuff for you guys. Next week, like I mentioned at the end of the show, we're gonna go back in time to songs that were probably played long before most of you were born. Unless you're like, thirty, in which case, no, you were probably born by then. I will still receive requests before playing those, of course, as pre-show requests come in high priority.
Lol, don't worry. Mizuka doesn't hate you, she's just highly sensitive to pedos. On a related note, for those of you wondering who was that high-pitched Japanese girl that "co-DJed" during the show, she's actually a character from an eroge called "One: To the Radiant Season", and her name is Nagamori Mizuka. I met her on the street during my search for lolis and somehow got it in my head that she could help me do this DJ thing. So I was about to Geass her and could make her my co-DJ, but she closed her eyes. DAMN MY ONE WEAKNESS That said, she said yes anyway when I just politely asked her and promised some I was somehow able to make a flash soundboard using sound clips from the game, and since my setup is a bit unique as it was, I was able to pull it off with very little fuss. Alas, I doubt that Don would review this game despite it being a Key work before Key was formed, since it is more plot than porn, and we all go to Eronight to Anyway, SEND IN THOSE REQUESTS! We have a whole week ahead of us!

Link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/3q4mq5 Sorry it took so long. Just got back to my home in Toronto three hours ago after a five-hour bus ride from Ottawa and the upload finished just thirty minutes ago (started the upload at five-thirty). While I still express my sorrow at not being able to listen in last night (work took precedence), I had to facepalm at this entire paragraph. Laughing did not occur.

Voice Over: Nomake Wan Angry boss and Jun'ichi: SgtXDNX Fired Employee: HashiryaR32 Dumped boyfriend: Katyusha (non-IDWorlder, but friend of mine) The only girl in the cast: Liana (another non-IDWorlder, friend of Katyusha) http://www.sendspace.com/file/bhdqay Chris Hansen VS Mizuka Nagamori Yeah, there's a reason why Chris signed that Pedobear pic. No lolis were actually harmed or molsted in this skit. Because if there were, I'd be put in jail for that. >_> I'm told Hashi can upload the entire album that contains Zips Under Cover Remix, so I'll let him do that. |

Cock Blockula Group: Members Posts: 393 Member No.: 27,803 Joined: Dec 14th 2007 Location: Azusa, CA | Lulz from tonight's show: http://www.sendspace.com/file/skegd8 <- Ackbar Radar commercial. Product idea: APX Voice over: Nomake Wan Victim: SgtXDNX Trap: yours truly >_> and Mizuka Girl: Liana (again) Reverse Trap: Yosuke (a friend of mine and Nomake) Music is some remixed covers of Star Wars music, particularly the Tatooine Cantina song. I dunno about the source, so I'll have to ask Don about that. Oh, and to those wondering about the music from the first commercial as well (since Save Point was played again today), the music is from Narcissu - a really great visual novel btw, I recommend it. The first tune is the Emerald Sea by Masa, and the second is a sped up version of #1 Route by Sentive. This post has been edited by Pikachu_Fragger on Sep 26 2008, 01:18 AM |
