I'd like to formally welcome (a week late, unfortunately) the newest member to the Thir13teen family.

It's a 1931 Ford Model A Five Window with a rumble seat.

and oh yes it is sexy.

It's got a fully-balanced flathead 4 cylinder with a cylinder head that was originally intended for police usage. With this hot motor, plus a late-model 1940 Ford clutch, this baby can do upwards of 70...30 over the original speed limit. It's got less than 7000 miles on it, and with the exception of the fenders, the sheetmetal's all original.

More pictures to come soon when I can find time between gettimg my term bill straightened out, getting packed for school, and working every night as a waiter.

Haha, that's certainly different from what we're used to seeing. XD

I've seen a few of these cars (referring to decade, not exact car) around, but never up close.

So... what's the plan for it? Keep it clean and make it a showroom car? Put it in storage? Weekend cruiser? What happened to your Spitfire?

Advertisement...my dad says he can use it in parades, car shows, promotional photography for our company and the likes. It's going to stay stock, and it probably won't be changed much mechanically. Still, it is one sexy beast.

not as much as you expected...let's say it was appraised for $30k, he got it for roughly half.
