Greetings!

This is Team Garou now signing on to be part of the ID community. Our goal is to be the top team in the Philippines by trying to take the Internet Ranking records and hopefully get to compete internationally and not just locally. However, we will accept team battle challenges within reason. Of course schedules will depend upon team availability.

Garou is composed of former members of the now-defunct Team Initial D Philipines (TIPDH) as well as a few new additions and a complete reshuffling of the roster.

The team has high standards but we value comradeship and teamwork above all else. Even if a player may be really fast, if he acts like a prick or does not get along with us, we will not consider him fit to be part of the team.

Those who wish to apply for the team can post a formal application in this thread. We give tryouts when the schedule fits. Sometimes, a player must undergo a training session first (ask me about "THE CUB CLUB" in person) but this means that he is already a trainee. Although he/she is not part of the official roster yet, he/she will be, once he/she finishes the training sessions. Take note, however, that a not everyone who applies to be a Garou Trainee will automatically be accepted. There are certain values/traits that we look for in a player, ones that I think will be profitable for the team.

Speed and Honor is our motto and I would like to stress out that as part of Garou, you always give your all. If you dont succeed, as long as you gave it a try, that is "honorable" in my book. More power to everyone and hope to have friendly battles with you in the future!

Wolf's Comments: "Kevin was merely "KEV", a freelancer who played regularly in GH. After being very active in the game, I saw the potential building up inside because the guy has one trait that not a lot of other players have -- discipline. A bowling Varsity member from ADMU, kev knows what is needed to improve: Practice, practice, practice. After signing up for the Cub Club, he showed his fiery intensity by sticking to the training regiment I gave him with impressive results. He also makes it a point to find time to play EVERY DAY. The former co-captain of the team DK (Drift Kidz) which became TS3+DK, which became S4R, Gav's ID expertise was apparent back in Ver3 when he had countless IR battles with me, Viper and Cloud of Indonesia over the top gun in Usui. He has that sort of dedication that casual players dont have and combined with his steep learning curve, makes him a formidable driver indeed. He will do anything to get fast short of breaking the machine down and examining every single circuit. Seph's learning curve was apparent when I first gave him his goals to graduate from the Cub Club. I gave him two goals, the first was to beat a time in a training simulation I picked out for him and second was to beat a time that an official Garou member has done. He took both in one day. A feat never done before by any Cub Club trainee. Heck, a feat I never got when I was still under training myself. Like his namesake, he's lithe, fast, and intelligent. Wolf's Comments: "Once upon a time, back in IDAS Version 3, Viper beat me on Akina Downhill Dry by passing my then-unbeaten AE85 Hachi-Go on a critical curve using his AE86 Trueno while singing "FOREVEEEER" at the top of his lungs. Next game, I got my revenge by (barely) passing him on the 5 consecutive hairpins of Akina. Ever since then, the respect I had for this guy cant be measured by simple statistics. Viper's skills were simply too good to be put into words. A battle-hardened veteran since the early days of Version 3, Viper is the thunder to my lightning in Akina Downhill. Playing Initial D long before I even knew the game existed, he's got a sixth sense for driving especially in battles. Back in Version 3, me, him and Gav were neck and neck for the Other Asia Records in Usui. Starting slow in IDAS4 but now currently holding an amazing 3 minute flat record in Akina DHD, Viper is also one of the few guys in the team you know wont leave you in the pinch (as long as he isnt "busy"). And if it means having VIPER in the team forever, I dont care if I will be "forever-ed" everyday by his Trueno. That's how much he means to the team."

Wolf's Comments: "Joyce's Garou story is a very unexpected albeit joyful surprise. Joyce is Seph/Gannet's significant other. When Seph was just applying for the Cub Club, Joyce would tag along, watch in the sidelines and offer a pout, a smile, a nod. Or two. That was when we tried to put her behind the wheel. This quiet girl transformed into... something... that just wanted to play and play and play and play and play and play... It was no surprise she would want to join Garou soon after. It took a while for her to get the goals I set out but she did it just in time. Vowing to start side by side with Seph in Version 5, I can only smile in anticipation what these two can accomplish if they can just grab the opportunity and play. Wolf's Comments: "If pride gets ahold of me (as pride sometimes do), I would consider my number 1 records back in IDAS4 as some of my best achievements. Imagine my annoyance when somebody beats a record I get every week. It doesnt matter if I take it back right away. He gets one almost every time. Time and time again. Enter Kier, one of the best players to come out of IDAS4. A virtual unknown who joined a team called Bhann Speed. At the time he was just an ok player. It was when his crew got out and he became leader of the GodSpeed Crew, that I sat up and took notice. This guy plays with the same intensity I have. Dare I say even more. Wolf's Comments: "How would you define a success story? Does it need an underdog hero? Unmatchable achievements? A glorious ending? If so, maybe Te's story can be one of success. Whatever it is, it certainly isnt sad. This guy started as a nobody and went up the ranks as one of the fastest players. A couple of years ago, Terrence was the leader and founder of TIDPH (Team Initial D Philippines, metted to be Philippines' National ID team), a team I joined and where, I can say with complete honesty, my skills were developed. Before that, he was a legend in the game at his own right. One of the most controversial players out there both because of his times and the fights/scandals he's been involved in, he has since approached me and expressed interest in joining Garou even if it would mean he be under me instead of like last time. Not a hard decision. Terrence is also living what most of us considers the ultimate achievement of our racing game life -- being an official instructor in Tuason Racing School. Besides being a player, TE is also the team's "real life racing" advisor and would help us on our technical needs IRL. Oh, and where's the glorious ending?
