Gamertag's the same as my username if anyone wants a BTS partner that doesn't suck ass. On an unrelated note, my Spartan now looks awesome as hell. |

Glad to see the unlocks don't cost an arm and a leg anymore. Dropped points on DMR and armor recharge speed upgrade as soon as they became available. |

BR Boltshot Plasmas or Frags, doesn't matter with the country internet speeds and ping I have around here. Promethian Vision Dexterity Mobility. Favorite move: Pro.vision behind a corner (only works if the other guy doesn't have promethian block), charge up the boltshot and time it, blast the fool and then melee. Fastest kill you'll ever do, believe me. And this setup is invincible with the energy sword. EDIT: For non-4 players, it's like powering up a plasma pistol, blasting the fool and then meleeing. But the boltshot is a bit more challenging because you can't "hold" the charge. This post has been edited by chillined on Nov 27 2012, 03:45 PM |

That's a setup to do one specific thing. How well does that work on Ragnarok? That, and you're running around with the less effective of the two UNSC precision weapons. There's a reason the BR is my secondary. I bet you'd get me with that bullshit once, maybe twice in a match before I decided to watch for your tag and hit you from across the map.

Since the needler is heavily overpowered in H4, just swap the sidearm for it pronto and you're golden. DMR is there for popping heads. That will change this weekend, though, since I'm finally moving to a place with high speed internet. I would have been playing last night, but the system update happened and my slow ass ADSL meant it took me three hours to complete it, and by that time I was already asleep. |

And why the hell would I be playing around with a precision weapon at close range to begin with? I don't get it, I really don't. The BR has less zoom and fires lower caliber rounds in a burst config. If I want to do close range damage I'll use the AR, if I want to engage from a reasonable distance I'll use the DMR. There's zero reason for something that is less effective at either. It gets carried as a secondary for use if I run out of mags for the DMR, which forces me to get closer anyway since it can't hit shit from a reasonable distance. Until someone gets damage and spread data out there, I know what works for me, and if it works for me it's probably the better option.

Everybody eventually finds what works for them, and screw everybody else. For me, it's DMR/Needler all the way. Elites can suck my nuts. |

For big team I like to book it for a sniper rifle and hang back till i run out of ammo then move in with the DMR/ needler combo This post has been edited by oki323 on Nov 29 2012, 01:03 AM |

More NEGATIVE than a black hole Group: ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 19,345 Member No.: 12,263 Joined: Sep 12th 2005 Location: Update Profile | Mowing through Spartan Ops last night made me realize that the game will become dramatically unfair just to kill you. I was on Episode 2 Chapter 2, where you're checking out a distress beacon a science team dropped, and inevitably get ambushed by Covenant dipshits. Effortlessly go through the level up to the shield wall like a threshing machine. I have the jetpack armor ability, so I can just sit on a tower and snipe elites like nobody's business. Then the shield generator is shut off, and the game goes crazy. A drop pod unleashes a bunch of the really quick "recon" elites, two elites with fuel rod cannons, and one carrying a sword. At this point I'm in a canyon with little wiggle room, so I turn tail and hope to gain enough ground to snipe the bastards, or at least wipe out the sword carrier's shield. NOPE. Fuel rodders suddenly gain insane accuracy and hit me with twin shots from behind. Respawn. Oh look, I spawned directly in front of the sword carrier. He literally shrugs at me and I die almost as soon as I spawn. What the fuck, 343. Thankfully my next spawn was back a bit more, and I cleaned up the rest of the level rather easily from there. Ridiculous that I had to suffer that cheap death in order to do so, though. |

Changing specialization, or staying Spartan-IV? I'm thinking I won't go into specializations and straight shot for SR-130.

Rogue, and probably nothing else. I'm looking at the opposite color TTL so often that I might as well. They seem to have accentuated the reticle walk upon hit for this iteration, and I'd guess it's due to the addition of that specific Spec. Honestly, it's the only one I see as being overly useful.

I don't think I'll ever have the patience to unlock Protector though despite how much I like it, and I'll probably rock CIO when I get that unlocked here within the next couple weeks I'd guess. |
