Initial D World - Discussion Board / Forums > Initial D Arcade Stage > How to verse somebody...?

Posted by: Rudy May 31 2015, 05:44 PM
So my local arcade finally got cards for their Initial D 7 cabinets. but here's the problem. It's not the US version of Initial D 7 - so the game is in Japanese. And neither me nor Hannah have a clue what anything reads.

Can somebody please post up a picture by picture guide on how to verse someone? I.E. pvp

Uh...whut?

>US version of IDAS7

There is no such thing as a "US" version. Only EXP (or export) version...man you do not know anything huh? (Aka...just poking fun at you)

Anyway I am sure there is a picture by picture somewhere...i'll look for it but for now i'm moving it to the main area.

EDIT: From SonicSP's post...

After inserting coins and card, you'll see this start menu here and have a few options:

Just press in store battle ON BOTH MACHINES AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE A1 and A2 or B1 and B2. They cannot go from A1 to B1 and such variations. After that one of you will press the start button, which then they can choose the course and...yeah.

Thank God. I'm pretty much going through this game blind. What happened to just having the other player hit the Start button, enabling Accepting Challengers, popping quarters into the machine, saying YES I WANT TO CHALLENGE P2 and then battling? So complicated.

Still trying to get the hang of this game's physics. IDAS7 is so freakin' werid.

Ok, thing is this. If you select the one v one mode the...startup screen (ya know the one where you see replays...) will display a red...thingy that basically states that you want to one v one someone. At that point all the other person has to do is select the one v one mode and you'll immediately go to the course select screen...well the one before it.

You can still have accepting challenges on. Just select the in-store option. The second player just have to select the same option before the first player finishes his game.

Spec-5 physics is suprisingly different from your car that is not tuned though. I'd say the weird physics feel you get is because of the automatic deceleration and the "drift angle" thing, which disappears after spec-5.

Gotta play more IDAS to Kickstart meh muse.

Thanks for the tips though, that explains why Hannah couldn't verse me once I was C3 or whatever and she was still D1

Seriously eff this rank system, that's what boost is for. derp.gif

Halfway through the "revival" or whatever of the Legend of the Streets mode, how do I tell what course I'm racing on when advancing? The tracks seem to change even when I'm on the same stage.
